Episode 112 - Press Play on (Video) Cassette (Part 2)   We conclude our look back on the Doctor Who VHS range via the fandoms' orifice that was DWB! Listen as the afterglow of the recovery of Tomb gives way to rancour and bile!  Marvel at how the titles of 30th anniversary year are leaked to the outrage of some.  We look at the classic stories that were overlooked and instead replaced with 'patchwork' titles selected to keep a former producer gainfully employed!   What missing episode of Doctor Who is the equivalent Schrödinger's Cat? Episode 103 - It's Xmas time but not the one you are expecting! Mark, Dave, Richard and Rob are back together on the couch warding off the winter chills by talking Doctor Who! Listen to us reminisce about watching the Dalek movies on the big screen in glorious 4K where we were so close we could feel their fire, and then burrow our way down the nostalgia tunnel to the good old pirate VHS scene where we discuss how we got to see and acquire vintage Doctor Who and how technological advances along the way made it much easier to watch out favourite shows without waiting 18 months to hit Australia TV. 

That meddlesome Master is the focus of our Target book club and we are completely bemused by some of the more umm ‘interesting’ turns of phrase from two director's turned authors and crack open our new (and undamaged) Season 22 box sets and discuss the new documentaries, the season as a whole and is there anything else left to say about this turbulent era of the programme? 

All this plus our mid year fanwank of the year awards and will a certain audio production company who ‘love stories’ be given a free pass or again take away the grand prize!

Episode 16 - In this very special episode of the 42 to Doomsday podcast, Rob and Mark are joined by guest JR Southall, columnist and podcaster extraordinaire. We chat about his involvement with the Blue Box podcast, the two You and Who volumes of essays and cover his work as a columnist for Starburst Magazine. Since JR Southall interviewed Philip Morris for Starburst, we take a deep dive into his thoughts on the current state of the Omni-rumour, a discussion we highly recommend to anyone interested in this fascinating topic. We also discuss Moffat and his arcs, Christopher H Bidmead and Season 18 and who we think is the best Doctor of the modern series. Episode 15 - The boys from Wolverhampton (sorry, Melbourne) are back and in this episode Rob and Mark jump into the Wayback Machine and go deep, real deep to discuss how the programme tackled historical and pseudo historical stories. But just before their brains fried, they discuss whether the current production team would be brave enough to produce an unadulterated historical story. All this, plus listener feedback. For a period when the show wasn't on the air there is a surprisingly large amount to chat about.
