Welcome to our last episode of 2022, with our wonderful guest Naomi Sequeira! 
An Australian actress, presenter and model who you may have seen in the smash-hit The Evermoor Chronicles which has aired in over 160 countries! Most recently, Naomi has filmed a teen comedy 'Finally Me’, the rom com 'A Royal in Paradise' & the Stan original series “Totally, completely fine”. She has collaborated with global brands like Netflix, Qantas and Sony Pictures and doesn’t look like she’s slowing down anytime soon.

With such a diverse background, having a Filipino mother and Portuguese father, Naomi grew up in a big family being the fourth of five siblings! A Sydney girl at heart, Naomi loves travelling and being out with nature, especially as she is a huge animal lover! Her self-development journey in both her career and personal life has fuelled Naomi to take care of her body, mind, spirit and skin; keeping it as her top priority. An exciting episode this month, we introduce the very talented Michael Brown, a celebrity makeup artist, who is also known as the ‘go-to guy’ in beauty. His makeup and beauty career started from his passion to help people feel and look good, no matter what their background, face structure, skin tone and skin concerns.

Today we are very excited to have Lia Trebilcock back on the show with us! Lia has been a leader in the Skin Industry for over 18 years. We continue to listen to Brooke Mojet in Rosacea Part 3 of 3, about the importance of having multiple thorough skin consultations and understanding the role and responsibilities that both the clinic and their client have throughout the rosacea skin journey.

Margaret has been instrumental with so many developments in the field of skin-through your pioneering work with the New Zealand Association of Beauty Therapists, pro-actively working with students as they learn the tricks of the trade, your never-ending commitment to training in the skin treatment clinic, and of course continual extension to post graduate education by working closely with industry experts such as Florence Barrett-Hill, or as you say, Number One! 

Margaret, you are an exceptionally experienced educator, trainer and business consultant; and you have an insatiable passion for people and learning. It’s interesting to know this stems from earlier training qualifying as a teacher, before attaining Honours in Beauty Therapy and post graduate qualifications longer than your arm! 

Entering the skin treatment industry with gusto, you quickly went on to open the award winning beauty therapy and hairdressing business; Face and Body in Titirangi, Auckland.

Sharing all of these skills and passion as Margaret Walsh Consulting, the goal is to see beauty therapy businesses grow and thrive, working with them to create winning business systems, train and develop their team, and attract and retain the right customers.

Margaret is also the only licensed New Zealand distributor for the OBSERV Visual Skin Diagnostic Tool, a revolutionary product developed in Europe. I know many of our dermaviduals Partner clinics are in possession of one of these and agree it is revolutionary to the Skincare industry to be able to see beneath the skin..

Today we welcome ‘The Forensic nutritionist’; Fiona Tuck,  who is one of the most well-respected skincare and nutrition experts in Australia.

Fiona, like many of our podcast guests, believes in a no-nonsense approach to health and well-being and is passionate about bringing transparency and integrity into the skincare and wellness industry.

She is the author of the book “The Forensic Nutritionist” and founded Vita-sol, a professional nutritional supplementation brand designed to target specific skin conditions and support the skin from within, without the use of synthetic vitamins, emulsifiers, excipients, bulking agents, artificial additives.  

Fiona has worked in the skincare industry for over 30 years, with experience as a clinic owner, skincare trainer, product development and formulations expert. She teaches on a variety of topics such as gut health and the skin, and how nutrition impacts various skin disorders and diseases such as acne, rosacea and pigmentation.

I can bet your bottom dollar if you’re an Aesthetician in the industry, that you’re familiar with Gay’s work; she’s  a fabulous businesswoman, coach, and mentor; not to mention an internationally sought after keynote speaker and skin educator. Last year, just before COVID hit, Gay established her latest venture,  Skin Energy on the Gold Coast. In 2015, Gay was awarded the esteemed “Educator of the Year” at the Australian Beauty Industry Awards.

With true dedication and commitment to learning and teaching others everything there is to know about skin, there is no doubt Gay has established herself as one of the most respected industry icons.  Inducted into both the Australian Beauty Industry Hall of Fame AND the Reed Exhibition Hall of Fame, it’s incredible to be chatting all things skin barrier with her.
