From Eddie's famous match with Tiger Mask at the Philadelphia Spectrum to the Dark Patriot diving out of the Crow's Nest on JT Smith after throwing him off of it, to the"BigDon" Tommy Rich and his "paisans", the FULL BLOODED ITALIANS, the Gilberts and Tommy Rich have a "rich" history in Philadelphia, if you will.  On this episode, we cover a lot ofthat history and along the way they discuss "Playboy" Gary Hart, the Great Kabuki, Tenyru, the significance of the Tiger Mask persona in Japan, Tommy Gilbert's history with the Funk family, what Tommy remembers about working with Terry Funk in ECW in 1997, teaming with Ricky Morton against the Gangstas in ECW, Eddie's famous series of matches with Cactus Jack in the TWA, the motivation Japanese wrestling promotions had for doing "monster movie" gimmicks, and the Philly crowds were like in the 90s compared to other towns.  All that and more on this week's episode of Dangerous Conversations!

This week Doug Gilbert is in Alaska, but never fear "Wildfire" Tommy Rich is here with host Gene Jackson and he's going to tell us all about the famous war that he and Austin Idol waged against Jerry 'the King' Lawler in Memphis in 1987!  They go in depth on all the matches that kicked off the feud starting in December 1986 until the "blowoff" in June 1987.  It's all here as Tommy breaks down how the feud began, AWA World Champion Nick Bockwinkel's role, Sid Eudy's first ever wrestling match that happened in a main event match during this feud, the infamous "posting" of both Lawler and later Tommy, the famous Steel Cage Hair vs. Hair Match, and of course the big scaffold match that took place at the conclusion.  Some of these matches and the people involved haven't been discussed in any of Tommy's past interviews.  Make sure you check this episode out and share with your friends!

On this week's episode, Doug & Tommy discuss the theory that Jerry Jarrett built his wrestling business around, "Personal Issues Draw Money". They talk about some of the personal issues over the years that helped them draw money and about how differently things were handled back then amongst "the boys". They also talk about the important role personable announcers like Lance Russell and Dave Brown played in getting these personal issues across on television. A lot of fun stories get shared along the way in this episode, check it out!

This week "Dangerous" Doug is back and the guys are having an in-depth discussion about a very important aspect of the wrestling business, promos!  What is a wrestling promo? Why are the important? How do they "draw money"? Who were some of the best at doing them? How much direction were they given? How have they evolved over the years? All these questions and many more will be covered in this week's episode. It's an interesting topic and one that Doug and Tommy know a lot about.
