| Online Personas & Feature Debuts with Bunnylovr Writer, Director & Star Katarina Zhu | 14 Apr 2026 | 00:56:40 | |
Katarina Zhu is the writer, director and star of Bunnylovr -- in theaters right NOW (April 10th 2026). In Bunnylovr a cam girl navigates a toxic client relationship while reconnecting with her estranged, dying father. We talk about her writing process, how she managed to work in front of and behind the camera at the same time, and the experiences of financing and distributing the film.
Zhu graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2018 with a BFA in acting. She spent her primary years focused on acting training before pivoting to academic semesters to further explore her interests in film and creative writing. After graduating, she fostered these interests by making her own short films. She's a fellow for the Women in Film Shorts Lab supported by Google. As a filmmaker, her work is mainly concerned with loss, love and the haunting that is inevitably borne of both experiences. As a second generation Chinese-American, she is always looking at these themes through the lens of someone whose identity and belief system are rooted in two, often conflicting, cultures.

| Something Very Bad is Going to Happen... Is Very Good: A Conversation with Creator Haley Z Boston | 31 Mar 2026 | 01:03:05 | |
Haley Z. Boston, is the showrunner, creator, and executive producer behind Netflix’s forthcoming atmospheric horror series, SOMETHING VERY BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN. The series launched globally on March 26. It’s produced by STRANGER THINGS helmers Matt & Ross Duffer, who championed Haley as a bold new voice in genre television. The completely original story centers on a bride and groom, played by Emmy nominee Camilla Morrone and Adam DiMarco, during the week leading up to their ill-fated wedding.
Haley brings a distinctive, darkly funny horror sensibility to the series. She created the show at just 29 (!), after writing for Guillermo del Toro’s CABINET OF CURIOSITIES and BRAND NEW CHERRY FLAVOR, both cult-favorites for Netflix. Most recently, her directorial debut, BEACH LOGS KILL, premiered at SXSW in the Narrative Shorts Competition and screened with Not Your Daddy's Films.
