Episode 47-(S3-Ep 8)-"Guess Who's Coming to Dinner"
24 Jun 2022
01:52:51
Welcome Back Creek Talkers! It's #Friday and you know what THAT means! An ALL-NEW Episode of Creek Talk Podcast is OUT NOW!!
It's Thanksgiving in Capeside and we're all spending it at the Ryan's! This week we're breaking down Season 3, Episode 8, "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner."
Jen (Michelle Williams) and her mother (Mel Harris) have a long overdue conversation when Helen Lindley arrives in Capeside unannounced for the holiday.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) has his own parental issues when he notices that Mitch (John Wesley Shipp) and Gale (Mary Margaret Humes) are suddenly acting overly friendly with one another despite their current separation.
While missing her mother during the holiday, Joey (Katie Holmes) tries to give Andie (Meredith Monroe) some life advice regarding her relationship with Pacey (Joshua Jackson) who is also getting love advice from Jack (Kerr Smith).
We also discuss the random continuity on this show, proper coat etiquette at parties, and we unintentionally audition for ANY Record Execs who are listening to us! And we know there are at least 3 of you out there! :) So, grab a slice of Gale's burnt edged pumpkin pie, your canned cranberry from Pacey and some of Bessie's microwaved turkey, because we're about to GIVE THANKS to Season 3, Episode 8, "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner!"
And WE give thanks TO ALL OF YOU! We appreciate all of your love & support! It means so much to us!
This week we're taking a boat ride across some unknown body of water in Capeside to get to "Witch Island" where we're investigating a witch island. Are you scared yet? Because we're petrified! Join us as we recap Season 3, Episode 7, "Escape From Witch Island."
Our "Core Four" are back together this week as they head over to "Witch Island" and assist Dawson in making a film for their history class in lieu of actually writing out a paper on the Salem Witch Trials. And somehow Principal Green ok'd this and let Joey, Pacey and Jen go along with him.
Meanwhile, back at school, Andie's ridiculousness is in FULL FORCE as P. Green makes her the head of the new disciplinary team. Oh yeah, Belinda the bitchy cheerleader that Jen ousted is back. Except she has nothing to say in this episode. Literally. She has ZERO lines.
And Jack is still MIA.
We also discuss "friends with benefits," paranormal situations, and the art of not knowing when someone is flirting with you. So grab your camcorder, your compass and map and all of your ghost deterrent because we're on our way to breakdown this "Blair Witch Project" rip off--Season 3, Episode 7, "Escape From Witch Island."
~Thank you to all of our listeners for your continued support! YOU are the reason why we keep making this podcast! We appreciate you all so much! xoxo
We've got an ALL-NEW Episode this week. As if we wouldn't!!
We hope you're all picking out your finest outfits because we've got Capeside's Homecoming Queen Gala to attend! In the words of Constance, the Elder Freck(ling), "Splendid! Just splendid!" Join us as we breakdown Season 3, Episode 6, "Secrets and Lies."
Jen (Michelle Williams) is tasked with co-hosting the HQ Gala with the oldest living HQ Constance Freckling (K Callan). After trying to get out of it, she runs into her Freshman, Henry Parker (Michael Pitt) who she ends up bonding with over some very specifically named flowers.
Andie (Meredith Monroe) calls Joey (Katie Holmes) for help after having an altercation with Rob. After Pacey (Joshua Jackson) shows up to her rescue, she realizes that her plan to get him back might have worked. Meanwhile, Joey is confronted by Rob who pleads his case to her, which makes her question the validity of Andie's story.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is excited that Gale (Mary Margaret Humes) is back home. But when he finds out the real reason she left Philly, he tells her that Mitch (John Wesley Shipp) might be a good shoulder to lean on.
We also discuss our first "I Love You's," when it's time to throw in the towel, and what a "gay handshake" is. So, make sure your HQ Crown is all shined up, put on your best Renaissance outfit, and PLEASE don't cry wolf tonight, because we're on our way to a Gala featuring the WORST Drag Queen show you will ever see! We're talking Season 3, Episode 6, "Secrets and Lies."
~Thank You to all of our listeners who are still supporting us by downloading our podcast. And to everyone who is following/liking/sharing & engaging with our content--We do it all for you & we love you all for it! We appreciate your support SO MUCH!! THANK YOU!!~
We got a HOT one in Capeside this week and it's not even summer yet! Come sweat with us as we breakdown Season 3, Episode 5, "Indian Summer."
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) and Pacey (Joshua Jackson) are having a case of the "film noirs" as they try to crack the case of just WHO exactly Eve (Brittany Daniel) really is. Will our boys figure it out by episode's end?
Joey (Katie Holmes) tries to protect Andie (Meredith Monroe) when she goes on a date with her creeper boss from the boat gas station, but Andie is too stubborn to take Joey's advice. Will Joey's concern bite her in the proverbial ass in the end?
Jack (Kerr Smith) tries to play matchmaker for Henry (Michael Pitt) and Jen (Michelle Williams) without her knowledge. Jen doesn't take the news of her new date lightly when she runs into Henry at her and Jack's secret spot. Will Jen continue her new relationship with Jack after this?
We also discuss PDA, the wonderful sense of smell, and just how many times Stephen says the word "noir" in this episode. So, grab your sexy saxophone, your portable fan, and dress lightly, because it's SIZZLING out there and we've gotta crack this case before the end of the episode! Join us as we recap Season 3, Episode 5, "Indian Summer."
We've got a fun episode this week! We've got football players who wear makeup, there's students skipping school, Beta Max machines. MULE MASCOTS! And a boat that really needs some "True Love!" LOLS Join us as we break down Season 3, Episode 4, "Home Movies."
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is putting together a news segment on new football star, Jack (Kerr Smith) to be aired on the 10 o'clock news. When Mitch (John Wesley Shipp) tells Dawson he's against it, we learn that COMMUNICATION is fundamental in getting your point across.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) talks Joey (Katie Holmes) into skipping school with him so he can show her his big surprise. After getting caught by Mr. Green, his punishment has them both looking like a jackass.
Jen (Michelle Williams) quits the cheerleading squad after learning that she's the winning prize for a fundraiser. When she finds out someone donated $500 to kiss her, she ends up feeling obligated to meet the man with "furry teeth and halitosis." Did someone say, "Doug Flutie Mouthpiece?"
Andie (Meredith Monroe) starts to feel guilty about stealing the PSAT when Mr. Green calls on her to discuss a disciplinary situation.
We also discuss premature cancellations, our favorite gelato and the REAL purpose of Facebook. So, get your lipstick and rouge ready for the BIG game, someone put on the Minute Men Mule Mascot costume, and fire up that Beta Max machine because we're breaking down Season 3, Episode 4, "Home Movies."
We're all gearing up to take the PSAT's this weekend! Did you study!? Or did you take the easy route and steal the test that was already stolen and not tell your friends about it? Does it even matter at this point? Join us this week as we recap Season 3, Episode 3, "None of the Above." There's no multiple choice here.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) receives an important gift from Eve (Brittany Daniel). When he decides to share this gift with his friends, they all become unknowing participants in a game of "Who Stole the PSAT That Was Already Stolen!?"
Joey (Katie Holmes) is having anxiety dreams. Pacey (Joshua Jackson) and Andie (Meredith Monroe) are putting the final nail in their relationship. Jack (Kerr Smith) gets some friendly advice from Henry (Michael Pitt) about how to win over his new teammates. And Jen (Michelle Williams) is still the head cheerleader.
We also discuss how Titanic has inspired Dawson's Creek, having a new perspective on this show as an adult, and some BTS gossip! So, grab your #2 pencils, get a good night's rest and make sure you have a hearty breakfast, because we're taking a test that really means nothing to our future careers. We're talking about Season 3, Episode 3, "None of the Above!"
This week wanted to say, "Welcome Home," to the podcast! If you've been a loyal listener since the beginning, we appreciate you so much! And if you're new here, we would highly recommend you start at the very beginning, Episode 1--The Pilot! Our sound quality does get better...eventually. :)
This week we're welcoming home old friends from mental hospitals, we're buying condoms for the first time, we're learning about infidelities and that gay guys can actually like football. Join us as we recap Season 3, Episode 2, "Homecoming."
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is still trying to figure out the mysterious Eve (Brittany Daniel). And all Eve wants to do is bang Dawson. Both of these things almost happen in front of a live audience. But something tells us that Dawson wouldn't have gone through with it either way. Because Dawson is Dawson.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is getting anxiety over seeing Andie (Meredith Monroe) again. He invites Joey (Katie Holmes) to tag along with him on a road trip to surprise his girlfriend, but when he gets there, he notices something just isn't the same about her. And we're not talking about her high pigtails.
Jack (Kerr Smith) is being recruited by Freshman, Henry Parker (Michael Pitt) to join the football team. But Jack is concerned about the ridicule that might occur since he is openly gay.
Jen (Michelle Williams) gives Dawson some very descriptive sex advice after finding his box of condoms.
We also discuss if Dawson was REALLY in love with Joey, if "waiting for the right person" even means anything as you get older, and Jayme gives us a (very) short song break.
So, go buy your favorite brand of prophylactics (Brown Betty's) and put your hair in some "Wendy's" style pigtails (like Andie), because this week we're breaking down Season 3, Episode 2, "Homecoming."
We took a week off to deal with life, but we're back this week recapping Season 3, Episode 1, "Like a Virgin."
You guys, we're on SEASON FREAKIN' THREE!! How? Where? When did this happen?
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) meets a mysterious new woman (Brittany Daniel) on his bus ride home from visiting his mother in Philadelphia. When bus girl suddenly shows up in Capeside, our mystery woman decides to wreak some hormonal havoc on our film buff/tv show namesake.
Joey (Katie Holmes) notices Dawson avoiding her, but all she wants is to talk to him and apologize. You know, for all that stuff that happened with her dad going back to prison? After one moment of vulnerability, Joey realizes that things may never be able to be the same between she and Dawson.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is still Andie-less so he decides to buddy up with his BFF Dawson and help him find his "bus girl." After a boat accident involving Dawson and said mystery woman, Pacey comes up with a quick plan to raise some extra cash for his friend.
Jack (Kerr Smith) and Jen (Michelle Williams) have now practically become an old married couple since he moved in with Jen and Grams. After an accidental football catch and an audition to join the Cheerleading squad, both of our loveable outcasts realize that their Junior year at Capeside High might be a little bit different than they had initially thought.
We also discuss strip clubs, Bob Segar's "Old Time Rock and Roll," and how Brittany Daniel pretty much looks exactly the same in everything. So, get ready Creek Talkers because this is the year of taking V Cards! Join us as we discuss Season 3, Episode 1, "Like a Virgin."
Welcome Back Creek Talkers! We've made it to the SEASON TWO FINALE!
This week, we're recapping the most dramatic season finale in the last two seasons of Dawson's Creek titled, "Parental Discretion Advised." The title says it all.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) struggles with telling Joey the truth about her father. Will this be the end of the "will they or won't they couple of the century"--AGAIN?
Joey (Katie Holmes) confronts her father after a fire breaks out at the Icehouse. When she begins to lose trust in him again, Joey decides work with the police to get a confession.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) butt's heads with his father when the Sherrif talks poorly about Andie. So, Pacey decides to stand up to his abusive father once and for all.
Jack (Kerr Smith) becomes worried about Jen (Michelle Williams) after she tells him she's writing a paper on teen suicide.
We also talk about the new claustrophobic horror movie, "The Deep House," Richard Simmons, and what would you do if your partner murdered someone. So put on a wire because we're going to get a confession from our scheming father! But first, join us as we recap the Season 2 Finale, "Parental Discretion Advised."

Pacey (Joshua Jackson) tries to convince Andie's father to stay in Capeside so they can remain close to one another. But Andie's father--and Andie--might have already made up their minds.

Welcome Back Creek Talkers!
We've got a funeral to attend. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please download this week's episode--Season 2, Episode 19, "Abby Morgan, Rest in Peace."
Abby would've wanted it that way.
Jen (Michelle Williams) takes center stage as she's learning how to deal with the death of her best frenemy, Abby Morgan (Monica Keena). While Jen is grieving, Grams (Mary Beth Piel) tries to console her granddaughter the best way she knows how--with the power of prayer! But Jen isn't listening.
After Andie (Meredith Monroe) is suddenly asked to speak at Abby's funeral, she decides to go to the source and find out more about her arch nemesis so she can give her a proper eulogy. Pacey (Joshua Jackson) deals with his own anxiety as he tries to help out his girlfriend during this unexpected situation.
Joey (Katie Holmes) realizes that she needs to come to terms with her own issues regarding death. With Dawson (James Van Der Beek) by her side, she decides it's time to acknowledge feelings she's been pushing aside for the last three years.
We also discuss our own personal experiences with death, how #TurboTax is an amazing service, as well as a wild debate about grunge music. So, please join us as we pay our respects to one Ms. Abigail Morgan as we recap Season 2, Episode 19, "Abby Morgan, Rest in Peace."
This week, Joey's father has come up with a plan to make more money at the Icehouse by catering events. And it just so happens that Bessie's friend is getting married and needs a caterer! How convenient! Also, a night of fun ends in tragedy for one of our Capesiders. Join us as we recap Season 2, Episode 18, "A Perfect Wedding."
Joey (Katie Holmes) is trying not to have a nervous breakdown while dealing with the fact that her father is back in her life AND working as a cater waiter at a fancy wedding in town. Will Joey finally tell her father how she truly feels? Or will she just end up in a ball on the dance floor?
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is trying to keep his cool after realizing that Joey is going to Jack more and more with her problems. After an incident with a runaway bride, Jack (Kerr Smith) comes to the rescue with the bride, and with Dawson.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is trying to convince skeptic Andie (Meredith Monroe) that weddings are a beautiful tradition. After a mishap with the wedding cake, Andie realizes that she may be the bad omen.
Jen (Michelle Williams) and Abby (Monica Keena) end up having their own party on the docks after being kicked out for crashing the wedding. Unfortunately, the party is about to end for one of our Capesiders. Permanently.
We also discuss our own wedding experiences, the joy of traveling and what we're currently watching. So put on your Sunday Best, get ready to hit the dance floor and make sure you know where the bar is, because this week we're heading to "A Perfect Wedding!"

This week we're dealing with an ignorant teacher, a very personal poem and a much-deserved DNA facial. And Jen is now starring in her own spin-off about a girl dating a boy who is definitely NOT losing his Religion. We're breaking down one of the most talked about and most important episodes of Dawson's Creek --Season 2, Episode 14, titled, "To Be or Not to Be." aka: Jack's Coming Out Story.
Jack (Kerr Smith) and Pacey (Joshua Jackson) are in Mr. Peterson's poetry class. He's given them an assignment to write a poem about what they know. Struggling with this concept, Jack decides to write about the first thing he sees when he closes his eyes.
When Peterson forces Jack to read his poem out loud to his class, Pacey defends his new friend by making some life choices even we don't think we'd make. Especially not at 16 years old.
Now Pacey has to own up to the consequences or be suspended. Which leads to a lot of tension between him and Andie (Meredith Monroe).
Meanwhile, Joey (Katie Holmes) runs to Dawson (James Van Der Beek) for advice when rumors of Jack's poem make the rounds in Capeside.
In a totally different show, Jen (Michelle Williams) is getting closer to her new beau Tyson (Eddie Mills). After much persistence, Ty shows Jen a side of himself that his Religion would most definitely not approve of.
We also discuss our drunken nights out, denial, and really wanting a Wendy's Frosty. So, grab some paper and a pen and start brainstorming a very personal poem, because we're about to be outed against our will by the most hated teacher in Capeside! Join us for "To Be or Not to Be."
We hope you enjoy this episode and have a great weekend, Creek Talkers!

We also welcome back Friend of the Podcast, Lauren from @SwappingHorrorStoriesPod & @x99FearStreet to help us recap this bloody mess of a movie.
Tom Hanniger (Jensen Ackles) returns to his small town of Harmony after disappearing for 10 years. Prior to leaving, a crazed miner named Harry Warden woke up from a coma and decided to go on a killing spree at the mines where Tom and his then girlfriend, Sarah (Jamie King) and nemesis Axel Palmer (Kerr Smith) were partying.
After being face to face with Harry, Tom is left for dead by his friends, until he watches the town Sherrif (Tom Atkins) and his deputy gun down Warden.
Since Tom has returned to his sleepy little town, the murders are starting up again. Is Harry Warden back from the dead? Or does the new town Sherrif, Axel, have a copycat on his hands?
We're all lucky to learn that our hearts remain INTACT and NOT in some candy heart boxes after breaking down this confusing doozy! So, grab your mining gear, your favorite pickaxe and some 3D glasses and head down to the mines because we're going to party like it's 2009!

We hope nobody gets seasick, because this week, we're going out on the high seas of Capeside for the town's Annual Fishing Tournament! And Pacey's father is in it to win it! That's right Creekers! We finally meet the most abusive parent on television--John Witter (John Finn) on this week's episode, Season 2, Ep 12, "Uncharted Waters."
Pacey (Joshua Jackson), Dawson and Jack are all competing to win the tournament. That also means that Pacey has to put up with his terrible father for the weekend. Will Pacey win the trophy AND his father's love? Meanwhile, Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is struggling with his own parental issues with Mitch (John Wesley Shipp). And to top it off, he's shocked to see that his arch nemesis (and notorious girlfriend stealer) Jack (Kerr Smith) will be joining them for the weekend. Will these two finally bury the hatchet? Or will one of them be swimming with the fishes by the morning?
Jen (Michelle Williams) is helping Gale (Mary Margaret Humes) produce a news segment about teenage girls and consumerism. Joey, Andie (Meredith Monroe) and Abby are all helping out by giving interviews. But things go south when Abby (Monica Keena) decides to put down the other girls instead of building them up. Also, Joey (Katie Holmes) is beginning to feel like she's being replaced. Will she finally have that heart to heart with Jen? Or will she just be a bitch to her for the rest of this series?
We also discuss Asian Rom-Coms, SCREAM 2022, and a possible future meet up with the Jersey Devil! So, grab your fishing pole and bring your daddy issues because this week, we're risking our lives for that trophy while sailing on some "Uncharted Waters!"

While chaperoning Harley's semi-formal, Joey (Katie Holmes) realizes that she doesn't have the same feelings for Pacey (Joshua Jackson) as he does for her. And it's all because of Eddiot (Oliver Hudson)!
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) moves back home to begin working on his feature film while Gale (Mary Margaret Humes) is concerned that he needs a backup plan.
Jen (Michelle Williams) discovers that Grams (Mary Beth Piel) has breast cancer.

Brace yourselves Creekers, because this week we FINALLY find out which one of our lucky couples got LUCKY!
When Chris (Jason Behr) and Abby (Monica Keena) discover a mysterious note, they decide to perform their own twisted game of "Clue" with our Capesiders. However, she never lets them know that they're a part of the actual game. Will Abby make it through the week alive? We're pretty sure she doesn't die in this episode BUT, we just hope SOMEBODY slaps her again!
Andie (Meredith Monroe) notices that Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is suddenly acting cold towards her. Is it a fever or is he just ignoring her because of all the studying he has to do because Andie has finally taught the kid how to do homework? Or did they have sex and now he's concerned about their future?
Joey (Katie Holmes) and Jack (Kerr Smith) are acting extremely uncomfortable with one another since he posed nude for her. Is it because she saw everything under his hood? Or was it because he couldn't get past First Base with one of the prettiest--and tallest--girls from across the Creek?
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) and Jen (Michelle Williams) continue on with business as usual with the movie after he crawled into her bedroom window for a hot make-out sesh. Will their friendship become muddy now since they both crossed a line? And what line did they actually cross?
We also discuss Asian Rom-Coms, Glory Holes and lockers from our adolescence. So go write an ominous letter to a loved one, leave it on the ground somewhere and pray to God Abby Morgan finds it! Because she's got the answer to this and MORE on this week's episode titled, "Sex, She Wrote."

**NSFW WARNING** This episode features LOTS and LOTS of frank SEX talk! Listen without earbuds if you dare!
Welcome Back Creek Talkers!!
This week, our Capesiders are all dealing with their raging hormones! But only one pair did the deed. We won't find out WHO until next week so STAY TUNED! This is also the episode where Joey and Jack recreate that pivotal scene from Titanic. But it's not what you think...
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is having major issues with his new script. He feels that it's much riskier to NOT have the teens in his movie have sex. But his new producer Jen (Michelle Williams) thinks otherwise. When Dawson crawls into Jen's window one night, he's decided that he needs real life motivation to make his movie a lot more believable. But will Jen go along with being his new muse? We're pretty sure she's ok with it.
After accidentally ruining her art project, Jack (Kerr Smith) offers to pose for Joey (Katie Holmes) as her nude model. When the topic of sex comes up, Jack describes his very first sexual encounter and is unable to hide is extreme excitement.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) and Andie (Meredith Monroe) have sex on the brain, and they think it may be time to take the next step in their relationship. When the two of them end up in bed together at a B&B, they both realize that they're getting cold feet--and blue balls! Is sex the right path to choose? Or will this ruin their chances at a healthy relationship?
We also discuss sex, sex and MORE sex! So grab whatever it is that turns you on (we hope it's our podcast) and join us! Because we don't care about our High Risk Behavior! We're always living on the edge!

This week we've got a big old Sophomore Class President Election and everyone is in the running! But who will win? And who will fight the dirtiest? This week we're breaking down Season 2, Episode 9, "The Election."
Andie (Meredith Monroe) decides to snag Joey as her running mate to run for Class President. When her opponents start a smear campaign against one of them, things become a little less about politics and a lot more about being an absolutely disgusting human being--(COUGH COUGH Abby COUGH COUGH).
Joey (Katie Holmes) is still finding her footing after her breakup with Dawson but is somehow finding her way closer and closer to Jack (Kerr Smith). As she tries to get Jack to open up more about his personal life, she starts to understand just why he wants to keep his mouth shut.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is realizing that he's been dealing with his life issues as an adult and not like the 15-year-old that he is. When Jen (Michelle Williams) becomes his "regression sponsor, Dawson starts to realize he needs to figure out his issues more from the heart and not from his big head.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) stands by Andie as her campaign manager. When things become a little too close to home for Andie during the election debates, he discovers that she may not be the only one being so upfront about her life. Pacey, being a victim of the school rumor mill himself, tries to help Andie in her situation. But will it be enough?
We also discuss "stealing" moments, anger regression, and how relatable Gale is this week when it comes to how she deals with stress by cooking and cleaning.
So grab your Clinton biography, bury all of those deep dark secrets and join us for a debate because this week we're running in an Election!

We hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday and everyone is fully rested. Because we're back this week discussing Season 2, Episode 8, "The Reluctant Hero." AKA, the episode where Jen has a sorta, kinda threesome.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is struggling to find a balance with his father, Mitch (John Wesley Shipp) since moving out of the Leery estate. Also, after discovering good news about his film, he attempts to ease into a friendship again with Joey, until she breaks the news to him that maybe she's too busy to waste her time on all of Dawson's dreams.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) becomes hyper aware of his potentially horrible future when even his guidance counselor tells him there's no hope for him. When Andie (Meredith Monroe) invites Pacey over for a lesson in learning, the two of them learn to work through a tough situation together when it comes to Andie's sick mother.
Jack (Kerr Smith) finally gets the balls to ask Joey (Katie Holmes) out on a "dat"--"there's no full moon," he tells her. Joey learns that she has more in common with the new busboy than she ever did with her lifelong best friend. Will they end up watching the Weather Channel together? Something tells me there's another storm coming...
Jen (Michelle Williams) is trying to be a normal teenager by having F-U-N every night of the week. When she feels like Dawson is being judgmental about her current behavior, she invites him out to a party so he can attempt to have fun himself. After finding Jen in a sticky situation, his attempt at being the hero goes terribly wrong.
We also get into some fun tangents about alien life forces, Harrison Ford, and what the hell H.E.A. stands for.
So, find the most comfortable seat in your house, turn on the Weather Channel, and listen to the static noise that is Creek Talk Podcast and join us because we've got a really F-U-N episode this week!

We're back in Capeside this week and the gang is pulling an "All-Nighter" for their midterm exam.
We meet a new weekly bad boy at Capeside High named Chris Wolf (Jason Behr) who has eyes for Jen (Michelle Williams). Will Jen fall for his obvious f-boy ways? Or will she pull the wool over this wolf's eyes and play him before she gets played?
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is giving Joey (Katie Holmes) her space in order to get over their breakup. But all Joey wants is to get back to being friends again. Dawson doesn't agree. Will their mounting tension come to a head while being trapped together all night? Dawson screams at a little girl. So you do the math.
After the gang takes a break from studying to take a purity test in Jane Magazine, Andie (Meredith Monroe) discovers the truth about her current love interest, Pacey (Joshua Jackson) and his sordid past with a certain teacher.
We also get into dental work, our Christmas plans, and the actual difference between drip and instant coffee. Fun stuff!
So, grab your favorite device that you listen to our podcast with because we're pulling an ALL-NIGHTER to cram the newest episode of Creek Talk into our skulls!

We're taking a hard left turn this week and celebrating the holidays by recapping our favorite horror movie--SCREAM!
Written by the creator of Dawson Leery himself, Kevin Williamson and Directed by the "Father" of Freddy Krueger, Wes Craven, #Scream revitalized the horror genre in the 90's by mixing horror and comedy in a smart and savvy script with sharp dialogue that kept the audience on the edge of their seats.
Spawning three sequels, with a brand-new story being released on January 14th, Scream is considered a genre classic that truly changed the way horror movies were being made in the late 90's and even still today. The film just celebrated the 25th Anniversary of its release and continues bringing in a new audience with each new generation that discovers the creepy Ghostface killer.
So grab your jiffy pop, your cellular phone and of course, your voice changer, and settle in with a VHS for a very different, and very fun episode of Creek Talk!

Get ready because this week we're gonna cut loose and dance our faces off like all of the teenage sinners in Footloose! Put on your Sunday best because we're going to the school Dance!
Andie (Meredith Monroe) convinces everyone to attend the school dance on Saturday. Nobody really wants to attend a school sponsored event, but when she suggests that dancing can lead to sex, our repressed crew decide that maybe going to one school dance might not be so bad after all. However, she may be eating her words when she discovers Pacey (Joshua Jackson) dancing with someone other than her. And it's not the electric slide!
Joey (Katie Holmes) is starting to feel guilty for kissing Jack (Kerr Smith) during the full moon. She wants to tell Dawson (James Van Der Beek), but her sister tells her she did nothing wrong. Will the proverbial shit hit the fan once she's confronted by BOTH of her suitors? I'm pretty sure Joey is going to wish she sat this dance out!
Jen (Michelle Williams) decides to join her old friends after Andie and Dawson play matchmaker and set her up with Jack without their knowledge. Will Jen and Jack end up making a love connection? I'm pretty sure we can say that much is true.
We also discuss our thoughts on school sponsored events, our shared love for The Wiggles, and how Peacock really needs to start airing some 90's TNBC Saturday Morning Shows! So, grab your dancing shoes, some ice for that right hook, and make sure you're dancing with your date and not the hot girl in the hallway, because we're going dancing!

There's a FULL MOON RISING this week and all of our favorite Capesiders are REALLY going through it!
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is dealing with his "house of despair" as he witnesses both of his parents having separate date nights under his own roof! Will Dawson confront Mitch & Gale about their marriage issues? Or will he be calling Miss Jacobs, "Mommy" soon?
Joey (Katie Holmes) HATES a full moon because she says, " it makes everyone crazy." Will she end up going crazy over new guy in town, Jack (Kerr Smith) and he lays one right on her? Or will he end of killing over a dozen lobsters? We're kind of thinking it's both.
Jen (Michelle Williams) is on the outs with Abby (Monica Keena) again! So, instead of wallowing, she decides to pull out some of her old New York ways and take fisherman Vincent up on his date offer. Will things get too frisky for this high school student and future lawyer? I think I just heard Grams come home...
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) decides to FINALLY ask Andie (Meredith Monroe) out on a REAL date. Somehow their wires get crossed and he ends up at Andie's house where he meets her mother for the first time. Andie literally gets her wires crossed and decides it's time to spill some secrets regarding her family.
We also discuss our favorite beers, the "Biggest Party Night of the Year" and what we're both Thankful for! So, climb the closest ladder and sit on a shingled roof with us as we put our earbuds in and ENJOY the latest episode of Creek Talk Podcast while we look out for the Man in the Moon!

This week we're back in Capeside! And we heard we're not the only ones who have returned. Miss Jacobs herself is back and she's burning some necessary bridges, so she doesn't have to ever step foot in this town again!
Meanwhile, Joey (Katie Holmes) picks up a new trade as an artist while trying to figure out her path in life. Dawson (James Van Der Beek) doesn't take her new interest seriously and this causes serious relationship drama. Will Joey's new "hobby" be the end of the "will they-won't they couple of the century?" We think this sort of helps it along a little bit.
Jen (Michelle Williams) decides to get out of the house on a Saturday and go shopping with her new BFF, Abby Morgan (Monica Keena). When Abby calls dibs on Vincent--a hot older fisherman they meet at the Icehouse --their relationship starts to take a turn when he tells Jen he's not interested in her snobby friend. I mean, who didn't see that one coming?
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) turns back into a puddle of mush when he runs into his Ex, Tamara while out with potential new love interest/sparring partner, Andie (Meredith Monroe). Will Pacey try to get back with his old flame? We can only hope not because it's gross and totally illegal!
We also discuss our previous weekend plans, crafting and wine consumption. So, grab YOUR favorite alcoholic drink, sit by a warm fire, and jump into a BRAND-NEW episode of Creek Talk with us!

We're positive that the first 30 minutes of this episode will have you salivating!! And you'll be thankful for it--trust us.
We also discuss our favorite (and not so favorite) things about Thanksgiving, that fast food chain known for their pickle brined chicken, and why Christmas brings up so many emotions for one of our hosts.
So grab your boxed stuffing mix and your uncooked turkey because we're on the hunt for an available oven!! We gotta get this bird COOKED before our horrible relatives arrive to cause even MORE family drama! That's if they don't leave as soon as they get here...

It's Early Release Day and this week we're recapping Season 6, Episode 17, "Sex and Violence."🔞
We're nearing the end of the series and it's starting to make us upset! 😨
But this episode proved why the show needed to end because the writing just got so...odd.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) hires Joey (Katie Holmes) to be his new assistant in the midst of them rebuilding their relationship. Things go sideways when Pacey realizes that Joey is not built for corporate America.
Dawson (James Van Der Beek) pitches his coming-of-age film, but his idea ends up becoming something completely different.
Jen (Michelle Williams) and CJ (Jensen Ackles) start having issues in the bedroom that Jen is oblivious to.
This episode was not a very memorable one, but we had fun recapping it!
We hope you enjoy the episode!

This week we're learning how to budget fake money while trying to make sure our sister's disgustingly dirty restaurant isn't shut down by the health department AND trying to go to high school at the same time! And we're still trying to figure out why Jack is never at school. This is Season 2, Episode 3, titled "Alternative Lifestyles."
Besides having to deal with her chaotic sister AND the Icehouse, Joey (Katie Holmes) begins to wonder where her life is headed. It's a very serious question to ask yourself at 15. You're still in high school, you still have time to go to college, you're basically just learning how to drive, but yeah, sure, start worrying now about things like you're already 35 and living in your parents' basement. Will Joey figure out this internal dilemma by the end of the episode and then NEVER think about it again? All signs point to yes.
Jen (Michelle Williams) is on a mission to win Dawson (James Van Der Beek) back. After they're teamed up together on a school project, Jen decides she's going to become the bad girl she once was and try to seduce Dawson while she has all of this alone time with him. She seriously wants this guy back after breaking up with him last season. Jen is fun this season, but just like her terrible haircut, she has even worse taste in men.
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) and Andie (Meredith Monroe) are teamed up, conveniently. And once Pacey gets a taste of doing ANY kind of schoolwork, he throws a fit and yells at Andie like she's a child. Will these two future lovebirds make up? Or will a certain someone who appears at the end of the episode (cough :Tamara: cough) once again come in and take advantage of a 16-year-old CHILD? Not this storyline again...
And for real, why is Jack (Kerr Smith) always at the Icehouse and never in school with everyone else?
We also discuss embarrassing moments in school, how Jayme reads all of her books, and how to dress comfortable while still being lazy. This is a fun episode Creekers. So, grab a mop and your sluttiest dress because we're heading out to seduce our ex for no other reason than to stroke our own egos! But first, we need to stop at our sister's restaurant to clean everything before the health inspector shows up! And we hope we have time to shower!

This week, we're driving right into Season 2, Episode 2, titled "Crossroads" with our learner's permit and a brand new speedboat! Who needs land when you can drive on water!?
Pacey (Joshua Jackson) has a case of the "Molly Ringwald's" when his best friend, Dawson (James Van Der Beek) completely forgets his 16th Birthday. Pacey practically sings himself "Happy Birthday" right in front of Dawson, and he STILL can't seem to remember what day it is. Instead, Dawson decides to make this day all about himself, which is pretty standard for Dawson Leery.
Pacey decides to take some advice from Jen (Michelle Williams) and make his own memories--without ANY of his friends. Not even with Jen who gave him the idea.
Meanwhile, Jen becomes besties with the Big Bad Betch of Capeside, Abby Morgan (Monica Keena). Jen is now a very depressed and very angry teenager and will apparently do whatever dare necessary for a ginormous bottle of champagne. Jen also confides in Abby that she's still in love with her ex. After hearing this, Abby decides that this is the perfect opportunity to try and break up Dawson and Joey so Jen can reclaim her "Forrest Gump." Will their plan work? Highly Doubtful.
During a study session at Joey's Shack, Dawson sneaks a peek in her private journal and reads a few entries that he doesn't seem to find very supportive of his movie making abilities. It's not even like she called him ugly. It was about his directing style. This turns into a whole gaslighting situation towards Joey. Again, sounds like Dawson Leery.
Over at the Ice House, we meet Andie's brother Jack (Kerr Smith) who Joey (Katie Holmes) hires on the spot with ZERO training whatsoever. Who is Jack? And why does Joey trust him so quickly? I think it's because she wants to go make up with Dawson in the pouring rain...
We also discuss our past Birthdays, our personal stories of getting our driver's licenses, and dealing with pandemic depression. It's a tangent heavy episode Creek Talkers, but stay the course. Focus, pay attention, don't go over the speed limit, and you too just might pass your driving test! And if not, just do it another day bc we have A LOT to talk about!

This week we're back in Capeside and we're starting off November with Season 2, Episode 1, "The Kiss." This Season Premiere picks up right where we left off in the Season 1 Finale. With Joey (Katie Holmes) and Dawson (James Van Der Beek) discovering that they like to make out with one another. Oh, and they might actually have REAL feelings for each other. But, will this move from friends to teen lovers be too much for our "Star-Creeked" lovers? Or will they just go with the flow and ride it out like every high school romance? I'm thinking Option C--Where they overthink their new relationship to the point where the audience is screaming for them to break up. Yes. I'm going with Option C.
Jen (Michelle Williams) is grieving her Gramps death pretty hard. So much so that she cut off all of her hair and is now hiding it for continuity reasons. She's also pretty harsh to her Grams who is dealing with her husband's death much differently than Jen is. Meaning, Grams isn't sitting by the Creek all by herself "cursing the world" or inviting herself on other people's first dates.
Meanwhile, the town "black sheep," Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is trying to change up his persona a little by getting a new 'do. He meets new girl in town, Andie McPhee (Meredith Monroe) while impersonating a police officer. Which is pretty unlawful, if you ask me. But they begin to form a fun bond where they like to be really rude and sarcastic with one another. You know, forming a really "healthy" relationship. And knowing Pacey's history with being attracted to sarcastic, spunky teen girls, my guess is that they'll start dating...
So grab your hair dye, your un-needed passport, and make sure you're wearing your summer best in the middle of winter (because we DON'T like continuity in Capeside!) and JOIN US as we break down Season 2, Episode 1 of Dawson's Creek!

A Very Special Halloween Episode--HALLOWEEN:H20 (1998)🎃🔪
29 Oct 2021
02:48:53
Happy Halloween Creek Talkers!!
Before we head into Season 2 of Dawson's Creek, we thought we'd give you a palette cleanser this week and recap one of the best (or worst) Halloween movies from the late 90's--HALLOWEEN:H20! For Halloween, of course!
We love a fun connection to Dawson's Creek, & we love a good Kevin Williamson flick! And this one stars Jen Lindley herself, Michelle Williams! It also stars Josh Hartnett, LL Cool J, and of course, everyone's favorite FINAL GIRL, Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode.
We also have a very special guest this week! We invited Lauren from Swapping Horror Stories Podcast & @x99FearStreet on Instagram to help us break down this Michael Myers mess! And I think we can all agree that we all have A LOT of fun with this one! Our heads were rolling with laughter by the end of the episode. Hahahaha.
So grab your mask, a butcher knife, a hot mechanics jumpsuit, and an old jalopy & JOIN US as we discuss how easy it was for Michael Myers to locate his sister who was in hiding for 20 years! But more importantly, just how weird Adam Arkin's mouth is. CHILLS!
Happy Spooky Season!!

Welcome to our Season 1 Finale episode Creek Talkers!
We can't believe it's over! We feel like we JUST started this whole thing. And we feel so bittersweet that the magic of Season 1 is now over and we get to dive right into everything brand new with Season 2! But before we do that, let's discuss this hectic finale episode.
The theme of this week's episode is "Cliff-Hangers!"
While Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is pretty much nonexistent in this episode, and Jen (Michelle Williams) is dealing with the death of her grandfather (I mean, we all saw it coming...) we're given more time with the "will they or won't they" couple of 1998--Dawson and Joey, (James Van Der Beek and Katie Holmes).
Joey is given a HUGE opportunity to go to France for a year. A FULL YEAR! On a FULL SCHOLARSHIP! However, she's not even sure why she was chosen considering she took Spanish this year. But on top of trying to make that life altering DECISION, it's her father's birthday! In case you forgot, Joey's father is in prison for drug related crimes and she pretty much resents every bone in his body. Bessie reminds Joey that it's her turn to go see Mike Potter this year and she better be ready to take that FOUR HOUR trek to the prison yard! But more importantly, she better make sure she knows what time visiting hours are before getting on that Greyhound! I'm just saying, make sure you know these things before taking such a long drive. To a prison.
Meanwhile, Dawson is dealing with some major decision making of his own. He's finally seeing his best friend, Joey, as someone more than just a friend. He wants to tell her everything he's thinking, but instead, he decides to throw tantrums and have long, continuous monologues that just confuse Joey even more. Typical Dawson.
By the end of the episode, we'll have our answer as to whether or not these two move forward with their budding romance or not. My guess is, they do. Because I've seen the show.
So say your prayers, "Our father who art in prison," get your bus ticket ready, and get comfortable, because we're going to jail this week with some major life decisions to make. But we've got 4 hours to think about it, so I think we'll be ok!

Welcome Back Creek Talkers! We're only ONE episode away from the Season 1 Finale! Where did the time go!! But before we get there, we have to breakdown Episode 12 of Dawson's Creek titled, "Beauty Contest."
This week, Joey (Katie Holmes) against her better judgement, signs up for the Miss Windjammer Pageant. She sees this as an opportunity to win some extra cash for a college nest egg. All she has to do is sing a little, wear a pretty dress and walk in heels! It's A LOT better than some of the other options in Capeside, according to her.
Jen (Michelle Williams) decides that this is a great opportunity to bond with Joey, the only other girl in her vicinity, so she coaches her on all the ins & outs of #BeautyPageantLife. Things such as, rubbing Vaseline on your teeth, walking with a giant dictionary on your head, and singing one of the saddest songs known to man in front of all the rich people in town! Jen is still feeling icky from her breakup with Dawson, who seems to be throwing digs at her left and right. Will helping Joey distract her from her ex? Or will it just bring her closer to his toxicity? I'm pretty sure we all know where this is going. (EYE ROLL)
Meanwhile, Pacey (Joshua Jackson) decides to piss his father off even more by entering the Miss Windjammer contest--emphasis on the MISS. He wants to find a place of his own and leave his rotten family in the dust, but he has zero dollars to do so. So, in Pacey fashion, he figures that the best way to earn a little cash is to enter the contest as its first ever male contestant. Will Pacey be the first Male Winner of the town's longest tradition? Or will he just end up being a part of the town's rumor mill once again? I mean, he does a pretty decent Braveheart impersonation, so, we'll see.
With Dawson (James Van Der Beek) filming the pageant for the local news, is he starting to see his best friend as possibly...more than just a friend? We're talking about Joey not Pacey. While being enamored by how beautiful Joey is in full glam, he decides to tell her about his new feelings. But will Joey accept his advances? Or will she just go home and sing "On My Own" alone in her bedroom again?
We also discuss why we started this fun little podcast, how we first met, and we get A LOT of our aggressions out in the first 20 minutes of the show. So grab your Vaseline, a mic and some war paint, and you BETTER be standing up straight! Because we're signing up for a Beauty Contest this week and we're NOT HERE TO LOSE!

Welcome back Creek Talkers! This is our 11th episode of Creek Talk! Where did the time go!? This week, we're breaking down Episode 11 of Dawson's Creek titled, "The Scare." We also have a first this week--OUR VERY FIRST GUEST!! Our good friend Becky joins us to help us recap this cheez whiz filled episode, and it just so happens to be her favorite episode as well! We love that! It's Friday the 13th and Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is loving every minute of it. He's pranking everyone around him and with his parents out of town, he decides to have a seance at his house to honor his favorite day of the year. Pacey (Joshua Jackson) meets a strange, older woman named Ursula who decides to join him and the crew for a night of scares. Joey (Katie Holmes) is becoming a little irritated with all the scares Dawson is throwing her way, that she begins to enjoy the attention that a mystery man gives her while she's having a moment alone from the chaos. Could this man be the infamous "Lady Killer" that's been making the news lately? We don't know! Jen (Michelle Williams) starts receiving threatening notes and phone calls and when she finds out it's not her ex that's behind it all, she begins to think that someone is actually trying to really scare her! We also break down the difference of being a "Dumper" and a "Dipper," whether Jen had a costume change, and we discuss the high camp this episode is SERVING us. We would like to thank #KevinWilliamson for creating the "Scream" franchise. Because had he not, we would never have gotten this episode! So grab the closest butcher knife, or maybe a stalk of celery, and tuck in for a night of SCARES because we got A LOT to talk about!! For real, we left NOTHING OUT!

Welcome Back Creek Talkers!! It's our 10th Episode of Creek Talk Podcast! When did this happen?? We're discussing Episode 10 of Dawson's Creek titled, "Double Date" this week. And boy was this a CHAOTIC episode! For ALL of us!
Dawson (James Van Der Beek)and Jen (Michelle Williams) are trying to become friends again after their ridiculously overdramatic breakup. Dawson tells Jen he thinks it would be fun to go on a double date with her and Cliff (Scott Foley). The only problem is that Dawson is still in love with his ex. YIKES! He asks nerdy Mary Beth (Meghan Perry) to be his beard so he can use her to get back at Jen. But, Mary Beth isn't clued in on Dawson's plan. How do you think this is going to end? My guess would be NOT WELL!
Story B has Pacey (Joshua Jackson) and Joey (Katie Holmes) teamed up as partners on an extra credit biology assignment where they have to study the reproduction rituals of snails. I'm sad to say that I never learned that in high school. The two end up ripping each other a part the entire episode, until the very end when Pacey decides that he just might like the girl from the wrong side of the Creek. Will Joey accept her frenemy's advances during this very early episode of the series? I think you all know the answer to this one. You pass biology!
Stephen & Jayme love a good tangent and this episode could fill a Creek! We talk about our favorite fall outfits, Lucifer sculptures, and how much we miss having lunch together in the office basement.
So if you're looking for a deviant lab partner while hunting for snails in your local creek, or you need a date to the town carnival this Saturday, we are happy to fill the position! Make sure you charge up your phone because we're giving you an Extra Special episode of Creek Talk this week! And by Special we mean VERY LONG.

Welcome Back Creekers! It's our 9th episode! We're back discussing episode 9 of Dawson's Creek titled, "Road Trip."
Join us as we breakdown this very TOXIC episode! There's toxic ex-boyfriends. Toxic Masculinity. Toxic Ice Cream! Toxic Makeup Departments! It's all TOXIC this week!
Billy (Eion Bailey) is back in Capeside-- did he ever really leave?--to get Jen back. Again. Fortunately, she's no longer too "weak and vulnerable" to be manipulated by a piece of trash like Billy. Instead, Billy decides to try to get inside Jen's head by taking Dawson (James Van Der Beek) on a road trip to Providence so Dawson can FINALLY feel the touch of a REAL woman. At least that's what he tells the girls. Pacey (Joshua Jackson) decides to tag along. Well, because he really doesn't have a storyline this week.
Meanwhile, at Capeside High, Joey (Katie Holmes) is having her own man troubles with this week's Guest Star, Warren Gary (Eric Balfour). When Joey pretty much turns down this sorta, kinda, hunk by telling him she'd never sleep with him even if it would mean the end of world hunger, he goes all toxic male on her and tells the whole school they slept together! Joey would never! Jen (Michelle Williams) decides to ban together with Joey to get back at this creep for trying to ruin Joey's stellar reputation! GIRL POWER!
The episode ends with a tub of Breyer's Cookie Dough "ice cream" surrounded by 100 lit candles in a tiny room filled with wicker furniture. DISGUSTING!
We also discuss the "other" Guest Star of the week, Nina (Melissa McBride) and how the makeup department wasn't doing her ANY favors in this episode. The legal drinking ages across the United States. And finally, when did Wawa stop selling deli meats?? It's a real struggle. IYKYK.
So gas up your convertible, plug in your AUX cord, and put on the NEWEST episode of Creek Talk Podcast because you are in for a LOONG RIDE on life's highway! But before you go, make sure you hand in your Math homework. It's the right thing to do!

Welcome Back Creek Talkers! It's our 8th episode! We're back discussing episode 8 of Dawson's Creek titled, "Boyfriend." Join us as we breakdown this very triggering episode dealing with toxic ex-boyfriends, girlfriend's who just aren't that into their current boyfriend's, and what sleep exhaustion can do to an overachieving High School student in the 90's.
Jen (Michelle Williams) is in total shock when she see's that her ex-boyfriend, Billy (Eion Bailey) comes to town. Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is having multiple meltdowns trying to deal with his current girlfriend's ex who is also STAYING with him! Joey (Katie Holmes) is suffering from total exhaustion while dealing with her new baby nephew. And Pacey (Joshua Jackson) just wants to go to a beach party and get laid.
We also discuss how we would react if our current s/o ex just randomly showed up. Stephen gives out his VERY EASY Margarita recipe. And Jayme tries to understand why Dawson doesn't have a screen in his bedroom window. Especially living near the "Creek."
So, if you've worn out your VHS copy of "The English Patient" trying to get your cranky child to fall asleep, may we suggest playing all 2 hours and 17 minutes of this episode of "Creek Talk Podcast?" We are tested and proven to help all infants and toddlers to zonk out within 5 minutes of hearing our soothing voices!

Hey Creek Talkers! It's our 7th episode! We're back discussing episode 7 of Dawson's Creek titled, "Detention." Join us this week as we breakdown this homage of the 80's comedy, The Breakfast Club.
Our Core Four are all stuck in Saturday detention. Dawson (James Van Der Beek) threw a basketball at Pacey's face because the words "Oompa Loompa" drove him to it. Jen (Michelle Williams) literally said the word "bitch" during a class discussion. Joey (Katie Holmes) beat up the school "stud" for sexually harassing her--yet he got off Scott free! And Pacey (Joshua Jackson) got caught with his pants down in the boys locker room.
We also meet Abby Jacobs (Monica Keena). The girl everyone loves to hate at Capeside High. She stirs up some drama between our crew with a little game of Truth or Dare. Did she REALLY get detention for having an ecstasy fueled orgy during school hours in the boys locker room? We're pretty sure that would be cause for expulsion. We're not buying it, Abby!
We also discuss rage blackouts, why being a hoarder can pay off in the long run, and if Oompa Loompa's originated from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or the Wizard of Oz. We're really not sure...
So grab the nearest basketball and break your best friends beak with it because you've just got yourself ALL DAY SATURDAY DETENTION! Which is actually perfect because now you can binge our podcast! It's a win/win!

Hey Creek Talkers! It's our 6th episode! We're back discussing episode 6 of Dawson's Creek titled, "Baby." Join us this week as we breakdown one of the more heavier episodes of season one. Bessie (Nina Repeta) is getting closer and closer to her due date, but something tells us that her baby is about to celebrate their birthday earlier than expected! When Bessie's truck breaks down, her phone dies, and the ONLY ambulance in town is not even CLOSE to arriving at their little shack in the woods, the only other option is to have her baby at Dawson's (James Van Der Beek) house. Which only makes sense. While Jen (Michelle Williams) and Grams (Mary Beth Piel) disagree on organized religion and if there really is a God, they're beckoned by Joey (Katie Holmes) in the funniest, most sardonic monologue we've ever heard come out of her precious little mouth, to assist with the birth of her sister's baby. Meanwhile, Pacey's (Joshua Jackson) relationship is about to become nonexistent! A student overhears Pacey talking to Dawson about his secret affair with Miss Jacobs (Leanne Hunley) and decides that a Pyramid type scheme would be the best way possible to get his hot pipin' tea out across all of Capeside. You tell five people, then they tell five people, and so on, and so on and so on... And THAT'S how you get your English teacher fired. We also discuss our thoughts on having children and when, if any, is the right time? We also get a little emotional while relating to one of our Core Four. So grab someone's baby, if you're not already about to go into labor, or go to a City Council Meeting and break up with your significant other, and get ready to enjoy this week's episode of Creek Talk Podcast!

Hey Creek Talkers! It's our 5th episode! We're back discussing episode 5 of Dawson's Creek titled, "Hurricane." Join us this week as we breakdown one of the most emotional episodes of season one.
A hurricane is coming through Capeside, and his name is BOB! Almost everyone is hunkering down at the Leery household while the storm passes through town. So what does one do when you have a house full of people? You tell your spouse about your two month long affair! Gail decides to let Mitch in on her little secret. Dawson is fighting his own personal demons this episode (what else is new?) and taking them all out on Jen. Why? I think it has something to do with his own insecurities and pretty much the fact that he's the most selfish person on this planet. Joey is caught involuntarily eavesdropping on her friends, AGAIN, and pretty much get's vomited on verbally by her bff. We also have some fun, and slightly racist encounters between Grams and Bessie and Bodie.
Down at the beach, Pacey and his brother, Deputy Doug, are holed up at Miss Jacob's ginormous beach house. She hates storms and they just so happened to be at the right place at the right time. Will Pacey's jealousy get the best of him? And will Doug finally find out the truth? Oh, not about Pacey and Tamara, about his own identity (The man loves Bette Midler for crying out loud!).
We also discuss our own thoughts about cheating while in relationships, the history of wicker furniture and does loving Musicals really make you gay?
We don't wish bad weather on anyone, but we got a loooong one this week Creekers! Maybe a storm will come through your town and you can chill out on your sofa with a cocktail and some white bread with ketchup and enjoy this week's episode of Creek Talk Podcast!
