#4 | 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐰 | Lisa Kipps Brown

Episode 4

jeudi 5 janvier 2023Duration 47:37

Send us a text

Who is Lisa Kipps-Brown

Lisa helps entrepreneurs solve big picture problems with disruptive strategic thinking and no gobbledygook. Author of the books Disrupt Your Now and Boomer Cashout, she’s a refreshing change in a world full of self-proclaimed experts who throw jargon around like candy.

Her father was blind, which ironically gave her a natural advantage. Every day she watched him do things that anyone would think he shouldn’t be able to do: operate a lathe, ride horses, play basketball, own a business, and even mow the grass. She absorbed a different way of thinking and wasn’t even aware of it.

Lisa is a pioneer in business use of the web and started her web & marketing strategy company in 1996. When few people knew what Amazon was and two years before Google existed, she was already reimagining businesses and even sold an online business right before the dot-com bubble burst. Other achievements include saving companies from bankruptcy and tripling CARES Act funds for rural communities via innovative matching gift card campaigns.

Lisa’s straight talk combined with a natural talent for transforming basic ideas into disruptive strategy & valuable collaborations has people like Forbes 30 Under 30-listed blind PhD chemist Dr. Hoby Wedler calling her a “cognitive powerhouse.” Steve Sims, author of Bluefishing, says she’s a unicorn who bridges the gap between digital natives and digital immigrants.

Introduction to Conversations with Roberto

Season 1 · Episode 1

mercredi 5 octobre 2022Duration 00:29

Send us a text

Intro of "Conversations with Roberto".

Creating better products and brands through empathic Curiosity, Innovation and Insights.

Welcome to Conversations with Roberto podcast.
Here I sit down with top entrepreneurs, innovators, designers, and thought leaders.

And I do my very best to unpack actionable and valuable insights to help you build better product, and sustainable brands, and have fun doing it.

Why I do this
I believe that I have an obligation as a Designer to develop better-designed, more sustainable, higher-quality products & experiences.

The daughter's test
Before I take on a job or project, I go through The daughter's test:
When my daughter is 13 years old and asks me: "Dad, did you design and created valuable and better products for all of us? Or did you create wasteful items?
If the answer is yes, and I'm proud of the problem I solve, I'm more than happy to take the project.
If the case is no, and I don't see value to the business, people, and world, I respectfully decline or help find a better solution.

Topic
To talk about the power of Design & Branding.

Especially to learn what it takes to build better, innovative solutions and purposeful businesses.

 Format
Conversations with Roberto is a weekly show on the mayor Podcast platforms and YouTube.
The goal is to keep the episodes short and sweet, with an average of 21 Minutes.

Audience and what can you expect
I believe the audiences that will profit the most are Founders, entrepreneurs, and intrapreneurs who want to make products and experiences that matter and elevate their brand to play bigger.
