Cone's Cave – Details, episodes & analysis

I’m back with Season 6 of Cone’s Cave and since my band Sum 41 has just played our final shows I thought it’d be fitting to have a few guys from the band of my show. This week I have my great friends and bandmates Tom Thacker and Deryck Whibley on the show! As you can imagine there’s lots of stories coming your way on this episode and of coarse I touch on the end of Sum 41 and how it felt to play the last shows and how I feel now. I'm very happy this week to have a friend of 24 years on my show. I have Dicky Barrett of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and The Defiant on my show! Dicky has had Sum 41’s back and vice versa since we first met in 2000. Dicky also released Sum 41’s first album Half Hour Of Power on his label Big Rig and took us on our 2nd ever US Tour. This week I have a bandmate on my show. I have the nicest man in rock on my show, Dave Brownsound! This marks 30 years since I first met Dave in 9th Grade in Ajax where we grew up as well as 25 years since we first played in Sum 41 together. Lots to talk about with Dave obviously. Super happy to have our old friend Mike Burkett aka Fat Mike from NOFX on my show this week! We’ve known Mike since 2001 so there’s lots to talk about and not only that, NOFX is one of the reasons if not the main reason why Sum 41 was started. Mike Is one if the most interesting figures in Punk Rock so you can imagine its a no hold barred conversation. This episode is not to be missed! This week I have an old school punk legend on my show. I have Jesse Michaels, lead singer for Operation Ivy on my show! Jesse also played in other bands since his time in the 80’s with Operation Ivy including Classics Of Love, Big Rig , Common Rider and now has a new band with Rancid front man and Operation Ivy Guitarist Tim Armstrong called Doom Regulator. We talk about all those bands as well as his time in Operation Ivy in the 80’s. This one is not to be missed if you love old school classic punk and punk history!

Jaret and I met when we were both touring in 2000 when nobody knew who either of our bands were in the US, opening for Catch 22.
