We are back and we start this season and series with an interview between Ed and former Gloucester Rugby CEO Lance Bradley.

They chat about the challenges of running a Sports business, the difference and surprises compared to the Automotive industry; guiding the club through COVID and probably the toughest times in the teams history, the growth of Women's Rugby and the rise of Gloucester-Hartpury before discussing Welsh Rugby, the Ospreys and their stadium move and the future of the club game more generally.

A great one to finish on as Gloucester-Hartpury win their second consecutive PWR title, beating Bristol Bears in an exciting encounter down at Sandy Park. We discuss the day, the game and the after party!

We also chat about the failure of GB Sevens men to reach the Olympic games in Paris and England's impressive win over Japan in Tokyo.

Back to the league again and another defeat - this time expected as a young and much changed Gloucester side lost away to Saracens. However a plucky final 10 minutes took advantage of some sloppy Sarries play and secured a Try bonus point.

We chat through the game, whether the squad selection was the correct one is probably still to be decided, but we do have a discussion on the rights and wrongs of picking that many inexperienced players.

We also discuss the latest Red Roses win, a thrashing of Ireland at Twickenham - but ponder if the lack of any real opposition is going to harm the development of the women's game.

The guys chat about the International fixtures and results including England's easy win over an already depleted, but ill-disciplined Tonga and the latest in a long line of crazy moments that have led to a Welsh defeat. We also ask and partially answer whether Rugby needs to do more to tackle excessive drinking at games. 

We asked for your questions and you sent them in - Our favourite Food and Drink options before/after the game; How has the pitch effected our style of play? Money no object destination to watch a non-English Rugby side? The one thing we would immediately get rid of in modern rugby vs the one thing we must keep at all costs.

Gloucester suffered a frustrating defeat to Exeter despite a much improved defensive performance. We discuss the game, the positives and the failure of our attack to convert the many chances. We also discuss the first week of the Autumn Internationals including Wales' hammering by the All Blacks. Finally the guys chat about the other results in the Premiership last weekend.

The full gang back this week to celebrate Gloucester's convincing win over the Newcastle Falcons. We discuss the game, the positives and the negatives (namely whether the game plan is actually stopping us from reaching our full potential). We also do a little navel gazing and ask whether we are being too harsh on the management and the tactics. 

Finally we discuss some positive news and ideas that the club have had over the last few weeks.

Ed and Russ travelled down to Brentford for the London Irish game and were witness to one of the worst first 40 minutes from Gloucester in a long time - amazingly through tenacity, belief and a little luck the Cherry and Whites secured a valuable 25-25 draw. Ed also spent a little time on the pitch at half time, mainly on the floor as he unfortunately failed to win two flights to the Cayman Islands! We discuss the game, Ed's awful display, Bath getting stuffed by Saracens and the recently announced England squad.

Well if any game summed up the joy and suffering of a Gloucester supporter it was the Sale game last weekend. A wonderful 76 minute performance and a near disastrous 4 minute one. We chat about the game, the performances and what happened in the closing stages. We also discuss the reasons for the low attendances in the first two home games of the season, are the club getting it right with their offers and deals? 

Finally we talk through the other rugby news including Marcus Smith making it look easy against a poor Bristol side, Canada not qualifying for the World Cup for the first time and the potential for a Club World Cup.

Gloucester avoided the standard banana skin of Worcester away with a convincing victory. The lads chat about the game, their thoughts on some of the key players which even includes an apology from Ed - he is learning Russian to make it more convincing! We also discuss the shock win for the Cornish Pirates against much fancied Ealing, the brilliant end to the Rugby Championship with one of the best Test matches in recent history and the news that Saracens are getting a £32m takeover - we aren't jealous, honestly.

Fans returned in large numbers for the first time since early 2020 to Kingsholm, but Gloucester were once again defeated - this time to a resurgent Leicester team. Two bonus points and nearly a dramatic draw but in the end the visitors held on for a deserved victory. The lads chat about the game and the match-day experience, plus is the defence now indefensible? Finally we chat about the Worcester game this weekend.
