Ep. 128 - Glenn Holland - Growing off The Grid

Episode 128

dimanche 7 février 2021Duration 39:59

When Glenn Holland grew his medical cannabis he did so with his invention - Ganjagrid. The Ganjagrid is a plant vibrator that can be programmed with sound files from the grower.  In Glenn's case he recorded his heartbeat, and had some interesting results when he used it to grow his own medical cannabis.  This invention promises to have several interesting applications for growing both cannabis and other plants.

Ep. 127 - Glenn Holland - Cannabis for Lung Cancer

Episode 127

lundi 1 février 2021Duration 01:00:02

A couple years ago seemingly healthy Glenn Holland coughed up some blood tinged sputum that concerned him. After trips to a couple of doctors his diagnosis came back with that dreaded word - cancer. His doctor told him he had non-small cell adenocarcinoma that had spread to his lymph nodes and was at the fairly critical stage three A, so he didn't have much time to research or pursue nontraditional methods. Fortunately he was able to get in to a clinical trial for a new immunotherapy drug. Glenn credits that drug along with chemo & cannabis for helping him beat lung cancer.

Ep. 23 - Doug Bench - Former Judge Used Cannabis to Treat/Reverse His Advanced COPD

lundi 1 avril 2019Duration 47:32

Doug Bench, a former OH judge, was diagnosed with advanced COPD in April of 2015.  His doctor gave him 20 months to live.  Doug was content to go home and watch his horses while waiting to die, but thankfully his wife, Jan, was not.  While researching essential oils that could help Doug with his condition she learned about THC oil.  She broke the law to bring Doug THC oil back from Colorado, and asked him to try it.  Doug initially refused because cannabis was illegal in his state, and he was afraid he would get high.  His wife eventually convinced him to take it, and he's now living proof that cannabis works.

Doug and Jan started an an organization called Rethink Green with a mission "to help people rethink  what they know about cannabis. We do this through research, education,  advocacy, and recommending the best products. Cannabis is a medical  miracle—and everyone should have access to its amazing benefits."  The offer live seminars on cannabis and the endocannabinoid system and will soon be releasing an educational webinar series.

BONUS Ep. 22 - John Odermatt - The Long Reaching Affects of a Drug Conviction

Episode 22

jeudi 28 mars 2019Duration 31:13

John Odermatt, host of the Felony Friday podcast (part of the Lions of Liberty feed), chatted with us for today's episode.  On his podcast John exposes the failings of the criminal justice system.  As part of that process he interviews people who have spent time in prison.  Many of those interviewed have done time for drug related charges.  We briefly discussed how John got started in podcasting and the liberty movement.  Afterwards we took a deeper dive into the long reaching affects of a felony drug conviction.  I learned that it's not as simple to move on with life after a drug conviction as one might think.

We hope you'll find today's episode thought provoking - especially if you've had the good fortune of not spending time on the inside of a jail cell.

Ep. 21 - Shaaron Honeycutt - Breast Cancer survivor and cannabis user

Episode 21

lundi 25 mars 2019Duration 47:19

Shaaron Honeycutt didn't just survive breast cancer she THRIVED!  She's in the best shape of her life.  (And considering she's been a yoga instructor for decades, that's saying something!)  Shaaron took an alternative route to treating her breast cancer choosing adjunctive therapy, including CBD oil, and opting out of radiation and chemotherapy.  But she didn't immediately consider incorporating THC into her treatment regimen until she was prescribed anti-depressants.  She hated the way they made her feel, so she began researching something that could help her depression without making her a zombie.  That's when she discovered THC and other components of the cannabis plant could treat her depression naturally.  It took some trial and error to find the right combination, but now that she's found it, cannabis has made all the difference with her mental and physical well being.

Shaaron is a recruiter by trade, and has recently started her own recruiting company for the cannabis industry.  It is after all the fastest growing industry in America.

It's great to see her take a personal tragedy, and turn it into a victory.  She not only beat cancer, she's stomping it into the ground.
