On this episode, Cadillac and Donna talk about Sara Evans and her new podcast discussing her marriage troubles for the first time. Also, Brian Kelly, formerly of Florida Georgia Line, has written a song which can be best decribed as a "middle finger" to his former partner Tyler Hubbard. Plus, the Baltimore bridge incident, and some interesting theories.
| Thanks, Toby. | 08 Feb 2024 | 00:37:51 | |
Today we celebrate the life, times and music of Toby Keith. We cut the intro bed to make room for the dedication the man deserved. Hear stories from Cadillac and Donna Jack as they remember Big Dog Daddy. You'll be hearing most of them for the first time, too, because Caddy forgot to hit record for the original interview. Not the first time we've hired a forensic investigator. You get it. There's also a quick touch on the Grammy's and your favorite lavellas. So thanks Toby - this one's for you. 7704646024.
| Was she on the edibles? | 14 Feb 2023 | 00:46:05 | |
It’s Valentine’s Day on the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast and love is in the air. Well, something is in the air. First up though, Donna wants to thank all the Pod Peeps for coming to her defense and supporting her theory that dogs can learn sign language. Caddy has come to terms with it and Roscoe is making progress. Well, sort of. Hear how Roscoe may be feeling a bit overwhelmed. And, speaking of Roscoe, Caddy has some cleaning up to do on the front porch. This leads to some…interesting back and forth between he and Donna and some binge worthy Ring Video material for daughter Charlotte. As you all know, Donna has been struggling to find a Pickleball partner. So, for now, she has found an alternative means for exercising. It will be happening in the garage and Caddy will not be participating. Also, Donna adds Miley Cyrus’s new hit single ‘Flowers’ to the Hype Song Playlist. Hear the juicy backstory behind the song involving ex Liam Hemsworth. Get ‘em Miley. Some Grammy’s gossip involving Lizzo and Adelle and much, much more on today’s episode! What is the best (or worst) Valentine’s Day present YOU have ever received from a significant other? We want to know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| Park City's newest ski instructor | 09 Feb 2023 | 00:48:07 | |
Suns out guns out here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. We're getting ready for Spring Break and Donna's going skiing. Endearing and enduring stories from our lives. That's the name of the game here, as you've heard many times. Cadillac and Donna Jack kick us off down Memory Lane and on up the ski lift. We even have our own toned Ski Doula in tight ski pants. Then we talk about allegations. Not just certain allegations (cannibalism) but also the larger picture of allegations and the danger surrounding them. We look back at the only segment we've ever removed from a show, regardless of how we felt about the subjects of the story. We're an entertainment podcast (and partially music!) but we have standards. Plus, we do run into a lot of people at parties. We go straight from there, make a pit stop at copyright infringement, and keep running all the way through the future of country radio. There's a conversation about Morgan Wallen and how he inadvertently started the conversation of whether you can become an artist without the station. And of course, some highlights from the Grammy's. Paging Brantley Gilbert. Have you checked your mail today? Let us know. 7704646024.
| I swear I’m sober | 07 Feb 2023 | 00:31:03 | |
On the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Caddy has a surprise for Donna and gets a surprise of his own. But first, we get an update on Caddy’s supervision of the Rainbow Sparkles visit with Roscoe. It didn’t start off great, which made Caddy a little grumpy. Roscoe is a happy camper though. By the way, it is freezing in this studio. Also, we find out that Donna is endeavoring on a quest to teach Roscoe sign language and swears they’ve made some great progress. You decide for yourself when she details the evidence. On a much more serious note, Caddy has a gift for Donna that he gives her live on the show. She had no idea it was happening. It is particularly sentimental and thoughtful and it leads Donna and Caddy to converse on people who find themselves in a tough spot. Their advice? Just. Keep. Going. You’ve got this. What is the most thoughtful gift someone has ever given you? Text or call us and let us know. 770-464-6024.

On today’s episode of Cadillac Jack – My Second Act, find out what Caddy got Donna for Christmas. She’s just deciding to open it, and it doesn’t disappoint. Huge shoutout to Alpharetta and its fantastic restaurant scene. Caddy and Donna celebrated their wedding anniversary in the Tech City of the South at one of its many new high class locally owned restaurants. Not too long later though, Donna’s ADD medicine wears off and we get a preview of what Caddy gave her for Christmas… We’ve also got some big corrections to make. On the last segment of Dead or Not Dead we suggested someone was a little bit handsy and we were way off base, at least we think. Naturally, the conversation leads to a discussion on people getting goosed and how political correctness has changed in the last few years. Have you ever heard of the “heat button” on TikTok? A Forbes article detailed this secret feature that confirmed that they have the ability to artificially make posts go viral . Caddy and Donna put it to the test and Donna opens up her app to see what she is getting served with these days. Before we get into some revelations Caddy has about Morgan Wallen, we learn Caddy’s true age and why he is officially getting old. Any optometrists out there listening to the pod? Give us a call. 770-464-6024.
| Glitter in the driveway | 26 Jan 2023 | 00:48:39 | |
Today on the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Caddy is feeling some type of way after gorging himself at Marietta Diner. Don’t worry though…the show must go on. Have you ever noticed how the weirdest email addresses are always associated with an @aol or something else strange like that? Well, Donna has. When she is working retail she has to ask customers for their email for receipts and the like and she has heard some STRANGE ones. Are these folks not embarrassed to say them out loud?! Also, it’s time for Roscoe to get his nails trimmed, and what that means is it’s time for Rainbow Sparkles. Donna explains. If Caddy and Donna formed their own country duo, what would their name be? We hinted at this recently and it’s time for the big reveal. Both Caddy and Donna bring some suggestions to the table and let’s just say there is not a lot of middle ground. Plus, Donna brings a list of demands she would have for concert venues. At the Iowa State Fair there is a “husband calling” contest. Frankly, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Contestants are awarded prizes for the “best” holler to their husband. Caddy plays the winner and then Donna partakes with her own entry. Caddy’s ears melt on the spot. Still using that old AOL email account? Seen any strange ones recently? Let’s see who takes the cake. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| That lady had worse problems | 24 Jan 2023 | 00:37:42 | |
Today on the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast we are not giving medical advice. I repeat: we are not giving medical advice. Donna kicks us off today with some observations on people who use certain types of medicine for a purpose other than their prescribed intent: losing weight. But, there are also some…slippery side effects to those looking to take a shortcut to losing a few extra pounds. Caddy is just beside himself, but Donna has some stories to tell. Also, in recognition of the passing of David Crosby from the legendary band Crosby, Stills & Nash, we are diving in to another segment of Dead or Not Dead. We promise that one of these days we will figure out the answers before we hit the big red record button. But what is life without a little bit of drama? Also, Morgan Wallen man, you’re still recycling all the old music? Yes, we are going there again. Got some good candidates for the next Dead or Not Dead segment? Drop us a line. Text or call 770-464-6024.

Welcome to TLP, a new show from Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. It's a new kind of manor. One with cougars.
We kick it off by talking Stetson and the Dawgs. "Ringy-ding-ding, ding dong. Just give it back to the fans!" We're thinking that he just got out of bed on the wrong side, was burned a few times or just overall is a sour grape. It's a shame for UGA.
What's better - the spare or the knight? Donna and Caddy talk Prince Harry's book deal and how many royal secrets may still be laying around.
Noma is closing in Denmark and we're all pretty upset about it. Where else will we spend $500 per plate?? It's a good segue into a segment of Dine or Dash that'll be sure to siphon up your hips. The show ends after a few moments covering nearby tornados and personal protection in general. Just… hear me out. Then call and complain. 7704646024.
| Tornadoes in Georgia leave trail of destruction | 17 Jan 2023 | 00:55:45 | |
On today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Caddy and Donna talk about the damage done in Georgia, in particular to Griffin, from the tornadoes last week. But first, Donna has something to say about etiquette for leftovers in the refrigerator. Everyone knows that there are certain courtesies that must be paid to the owner of said leftovers before one can partake in consuming. Everyone, that is, except Caddy. And the cheesecake was only so-so, according to him. On a more serious note, by now we have also seen and heard about the devastation to Georgia caused by enormous tornadoes, in particular to Griffin, a city of about 24,000 people. Caddy drove down to the scene shortly after the worst was behind us and witnessed first hand the chaos that the twister left in its path. Homes destroyed, lives lost, and communities that will take years to recover. At times, the tornado that touched down in Griffin was as much as 14 football fields wide and dragged across the Earth for 32 minutes. Caddy and Donna also talk about some misconceptions about how to prepare for a tornado, or what to do if you find yourself under a tornado watch or warning. What’s the difference between a watch and a warning anyways? What do you do if you are in your car when you see one? Want to help out?
Lastly, we usually like to end the show notes with some sort of call for listener feedback. Not today. Donate to the Red Cross HERE.
| Not your anus, but Uranus. | 12 Jan 2023 | 00:40:37 | |
On today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Donna is still on a National Championship high. Anyone else? She could deadlift a truck right now. Also, have you ever heard of UberFacts? Donna rattles off some randoms. Caddy has a wild story for the listeners about a husband whose wife goes into the jungle to take a tinkle, and when she comes back, he’s gone. Did he do it on purpose? You decide. Donna speaks…from experience. Caddy blames Jay-Z. The murder trial for Atlanta Rapper Young Thug has begun in Fulton County Superior Court. At its open, the judge bizarrely rattles off some of Young Thug’s more profane rap lyrics. Why?! How is this not jury intimidation or tampering from the JUDGE?! Caddy has thoughts, but he’ll also have follow ups when he resumes his career as a volunteer trial witness. Stay tuned for updates. Joe Don of Rascal Flatts fame and his wife Tiffany are getting a divorce. He claims she cheated on him with her personal trainer. She claims he’s deep into narcotics. It’s a mess. And speaking of messes, Todd Chrisley does a podcast with his son Chase right before Todd is due to report to prison. Chase is allowed to ask him absolutely anything. Lastly, Morgan Wallen drops a new song on his Instagram. Are his songs starting to…blur together? Caddy and Donna investigate. Should an artist’s work be relevant in a trial for a crime they have been accused of? Let us know what you think. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| DAWGS ON TOP. AGAIN. | 10 Jan 2023 | 00:37:08 | |
Today on the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, the Dawgs are National Champions…again! The critics said they couldn’t repeat. They said they had gotten complacent. Boy were they wrong. Last night, the Dawgs took down the TCU Hornfrogs in the national championship game in dominating fashion. Their victory was not only the largest margin of victory in national championship history, it was the largest margin in the history of ALL bowl games, ever! And Stetson Bennett. What can we say? The kid from Blackshear who walked on, transferred, and then came back home leaves Athens only as the 2nd winningest quarterback in SEC history and one of only two to win back-to-back national championships. Yeah…we don’t think he’ll be buying his own drinks in Georgia ever again. In other, non-sports news, Harry and Meghan are in the news again as Harry puts out his juicy new autobiography “Spare”. He does sit down interviews with Anderson Cooper and Michael Strahan. There are supposedly all sorts of juicy details about the palace, his relationship with his brother, and…losing his virginity? Well, if that sort of thing peaks your interest, the book is out today – check it out! We don’t really have a question. Just call or text us and tell us how excited you are about those Dawgs. 770-464-6024.
| Taylor Swift Stands Alone | 06 Feb 2024 | 00:32:55 | |
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! On today’s show Donna gets into another wrestling match with an elderly. But first, why can’t Caddy and Donna get on the same page? Movies, walks with dog, smoking cigarettes, etc. etc. Caddy has a list of the things (thing) that he is willing to do. Also, what a Grammy’s show! Wow. Luke Combs and Tracey Chapman stole the show with their duet of Fast Car, but the whole thing was fantastic. Joni Mitchell – wow. And Billy Joel has a new song?! However…you know it’s all about T-Swift and we’re here for it. Poor Darius Rucker though. February is not his month. Donna lays out the timeline for his recent arrest. It’s confusing. Lastly, Donna recaps another episode with an elderly involving pig tails, blankets and stolen universal remotes. All that and more on today’s jam packed episode! Chiefs vs. 49ers Sunday. Who you got?! Text or call 770-464-6024.

| The Podcast About Nothing | 04 Jan 2023 | 00:48:42 | |
We're off book here on Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. Or is it off script? Off the rails? That's probably the one. For the first time in some 300-odd shows, this episode does not have a run-of-show. We have no guidance. No agenda. It's sort of like that Seinfeld episode where George becomes a screenwriter. Have you ever read or heard about someone's New Year's resolutions and just thought… really? The inside voice is a powerful tool that we… do not use on this episode. We're calling it hot. You just want everyone to know that since Darren left in August you've been dreaming of going to Paris with Jimmy. Let's be real. We also talk about our Dawgs, Kirby Smart and why he should show us his "happy." Then there's a mention about how we're taking on Bono and avoiding tantric sex. Like I said. A podcast about nothing. Have nothing to say? Leave us a silent voicemail. 7704646024.
| Donna needs to remodel. Sally has got to go. | 03 Jan 2023 | 00:38:56 | |
It’s a good day in the Jack household. Donna’s beloved Dawgs pulled off a stunner as the clock turned midnight on New Years Eve and Caddy has zero resolutions to make. But first, we say goodbye to Sally, our beloved 18 year old pup. She has always been the honey to Rosco’s salty, and she has outlived some pretty notable folks. Who would’ve thought she’d outlive the Queen? Alas, we bid her happy trails as she makes her way over the rainbow. On a lighter note…how ‘bout them DAGWS?! UGA advanced to the national championship game to face the TCU Horned Frogs when it defeated Ohio State in dramatic fashion - at the stroke of midnight - on New Years Eve. You can’t script it any better. We go over some of the best #DawgsOnTop videos from social media. Can Stetson finally get some damn credit from Kirby? Plus, a look back at the episode immediately after Georgia defeated Alabama in the 2022 national championship. Also, a lot of celebrities and really notable people have been punching their tickets in the last few days and weeks. What gives? Pope Francis will preside over the funeral of Pope Benedict – something we haven’t seen in over 600 years. Also, Barbara Walters, may she rest in peace. She had four (!) different actors impersonate her on SNL and leaves behind an extraordinary legacy. Lastly, the big reveal for the name of the Season 4 Hype Song Playlist… All that and more on the first episode of 2023 for Cadillac Jack – My Second Act! We don’t do score predictions. We know who will win. So, text or call and let us know how many you think the Dawgs are winning the natty by. 770-464-6024.
| Sketchy as crud | 29 Dec 2022 | 00:35:06 | |
On today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, get your fill of the popular ‘Dead or Not Dead’ segment. Can you beat Donna? So, apparently, people like to dress up like characters from the popular TV show Yellowstone. That whole rugged but sexy cowboy look. Or, at least, the ladies like their men looking like that. It’s a whole thing that Donna tells us all about. BuzzFeed came out with a Top 10 ways to catch your significant other cheating article, and well, they might as well have just tagged us to discuss it. There are some damn sneaky and creative ways of sleuthing in this thing, but Donna’s not impressed. She has her own ideas you won’t want to miss. Also, Caddy adds a song to the Hype Song Playlist from 1968! It’s the oldest song added to date. Can you guess what it is? Back by popular demand, Dead or Not Dead is the segment where Donna tries to figure out whether popular celebrities in music, politics and otherwise are still alive and kicking – or if they died a long time ago and we completely missed the news. Enjoy. Have a good Dead or Not Dead character you want us to add to the next segment? Give us a buzz. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| Dry as toast, to juicy as a roast | 27 Dec 2022 | 00:49:13 | |
On today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Caddy and Donna recount their Christmas, college football NILs, and Charles Kelley new studio single about his battle with addiction. Trash bag dads. Heard of them? They are those dads that show up at Christmas with a brand new box of hefty to vacuum up the wrapping paper like their lives depended on it. Caddy is one such dad. He and Donna recount some of Christmas’s highlights and what they miss most (and least) about days of old. If you have not heard about this kid J.J. McCarthy at the University of Michigan, you ought to put a google on him. He is the undefeated football team’s starting quarterback and he inked on NIL deal just like every other big star. The difference? He is donating all of his proceeds to charity, and to date, that means $678,000 for his name and likeness. And he’s 19! Also, back by popular demand, Dead or Not Dead (not to be confused with Dead or Alive). Is this popular movie and TV star dead, or still alive? You and Donna decide. On Friday, Lady A’s Charles Kelley released his new studio single “As Far As You Could,” which is his homage to his struggles and recovery from his bouts with alcoholism. Caddy and Donna talk about the song, which Donna adds to the Hype Song Playlist, but they also talk about the uniqueness of everyone’s struggles through addiction, and what it takes to see the fight through to the end. Any funny family stories from your Christmas festivities? Share them. We could use a laugh! Text or call 770-464-6024.
| Kris Kringle's Dingle | 22 Dec 2022 | 00:52:25 | |
It's the last show before Christmas and we're scrambling. You know how the holidays get crazier and crazier the closer you get? Well, we're feeling it. Caddy and Donna reflect on shopping patterns, Christmas holiday traditions and why this year is just a little bit harder. At the end of the day we're just glad to have loved ones around us, even if it's not every one you love. (It's *almost* a good moment.) There is one note for listeners of the podcast: we are a little upset that your Christmas letters aren't that juicy. Except for that one person. Yours is plenty succulent. We also continue our conversation with Greg Barnhill. The songwriter fills us in on what it takes - and means - to be the one behind the scenes of music's greatest hits. Of course we get juicy ourselves and ask the important question - how's the money? What else? Who knows. We've all gone south. 7704646024.
| It’s not final until its vinyl | 20 Dec 2022 | 00:41:34 | |
Caddy is back! After taking a week off the podcast since…ever, Caddy is back in your feeds with a new episode featuring songwriter Greg Barnhill. Caddy kicks off the show by explaining that right now, he’s not OK, and he really just needed some time away from the show and the stress that was piling up elsewhere in life. And that’s OK! We all need some breaks once in a while, and to unplug and get away. What is important is that you are honest with yourself and honest with your family. Fortunately for the listeners, Caddy’s time away involved some relaxing time with friend and country music singer Joanna Cotten, and legendary songwriter Greg Barnhill. Caddy was kicking back and listening to a collaboration between Joanna and Greg and afterward asked Greg if he’d mind joining the show. Greg jumps on the blower with Caddy to talk songwriting and specifically, the Backstreet Boys’ new Christmas Album and the radio single from it, Christmas in New York, which Greg wrote. While they were only planning on talking for about 20 minutes, the conversation went on for about an hour and we’ll bring you Part 2 on Thursday’s pod. How do artists find songs? What inspires songwriters? What is a “hold?” All that and more on today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. What is one of your favorite Christmas memories? We want to know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| The day the roof caved in | 08 Dec 2022 | 00:45:04 | |
You know how sometimes national car manufacturers make an error so bad they have to call back a bunch of vehicles? Well, it happened to the Jacks. With the shingles. On their roof. So today's episode of Caddilac Jack: My Second Act got off to a rough and drippy start. Just call us stormy. What's the fastest way to catch a copyright infringement complaint? Donna and Caddy's new segment - the top 100 TV theme songs of all time. You'll hear a few choices as selected by YOU, in The Letter from this past week. Then we go first comes love, then comes marriage. Do you love Parker McCollumn, like Caddy, or do you love "drive your truck off a bridge" songs, like Donna? We touch both in the Hype Song segment as part of our designation as a semi-music podcast. We round up with a few segments that tease to next week, and along the same lines we talk Blake Shelton on the cover of People magazine. Do you consider yourself gaslit? We return to an original MSA topic - families tracking families. Who's in your circle? Let us know. 7704646024.
| A word and a third | 06 Dec 2022 | 01:13:54 | |
Caddy needs help. With the TV. And Door Dash. OK so he needs some tech help from time to time. Who doesn’t? Caddy intros the show with a few stories though, none the less. T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have been sidelined at ABC after news of their affair broke. ABC News President Kim Godwin said that while their personal news wasn’t in violation of any company policy, the network is trying to "work through what's best" for the organization. Whatever that means. The conversation leads to the topic of cheaters and Caddy poses the question “Is cheating ever OK?” Donna’s answer may surprise you. Next up, we are earning our country music cred on today’s episode. Donna explains the origins of Luke Combs and Miranda Lambert’s new duet, ‘Outrunnin’ Your Memory’. The topic will help to explain today’s show title, as the conversation progresses to songwriter credit and who gets what in royalties. Also, Caddy adds a Morgan Wallen song to the Caddy & Donna Hype Song Playlist and he and Donna discuss the upcoming ‘One Night at a Time’ tour. You guessed it: Donna is a verified fan. Speaking of playlists, Caddy and Donna reveal their 2022 Spotify Unwrapped top songs and artists. You may be surprised at Caddy’s…Donna wasn’t. Lastly, as we teased on the last episode, we get into the greatest (and catchiest) TV theme songs of all time. You know, that song or jingly that tugs at your heart and overcomes you with memories from your childhood. We’ve all got them – and we want to thank everyone who sent theirs into the My Second Act Tip Line. Agree or disagree with Caddy and Donna’s take on cheaters? We want to know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| If you have to ask what jazz is, you’ll never know. RIP, Dad. | 29 Nov 2022 | 00:44:12 | |
Caddy opens today's episode of the Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast by informing listeners that his dad passed away this last Wednesday, November 23rd, after a long illness. Fortunately, Caddy was able to be by his side as he took his last breath. He went his way – on his own terms – and we are thankful for that. Caddy and Donna talk about his life, and he what he meant to the entire family as a father, father-in-law, grandpa and so much more. Caddy recounts his father’ love for jazz music and art, and Donna talks about his role in her life, and the memories they shared that she will cherish forever. They talk more generally about the loss of loved ones, and how we handle and manage the grief. It’s never easy – but remembering all the good times helps get us through it. In fact, Caddy takes us back to May 27, 2020 and the now infamous “Zoom in on the wooly booger” episode, which recounts his “take-your-son-to-work” experience on the road, with his traveling salesman father. If you’ve never heard it, it’s worth a listen. For only the second time in their 300+ episode run, Caddy and Donna will not have a Thursday show this week. They will be traveling to North Carolina for memorial services. They do however, give listeners a little preview of what’s coming up in the next episode: an homage to some of the greatest TV theme songs of all time. Those jingles that as soon as you hear that first note – you instantly know what the show is. Some of them, bring with them a flood of memories, too. What theme song takes you back more than any other? Leave us a message and let us know. We’ll share some of your favorites on the next show, December 6th. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| The greatest turkey event in Thanksgiving Day history | 24 Nov 2022 | 00:51:46 | |
So far so good here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. We just have one question: are these things loaded? It's Thanksgiving Day here on the show and Donna starts us off by reminding everyone to take a beat. If you are spending time with family or another meaningful moment, and you get the urge to get up and clean, or move, or work, take a beat. Let the environment sit for just a few more minutes. You'll be glad you did. To fulfill our obligation as a "semi" music podcast, we quickly move on to Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen. Bruce says he'll be attending Taylor's concert(s) and wants her to know: she's welcome on E Street any time. Then we get heavenly. Then we take a break. Now go eat some turkey and tell it on the mountain. 7704646024.

| Sounds filthy. Go on. | 22 Nov 2022 | 00:48:37 | |
On today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Caddy and Donna get into the backlash from the Taylor Swift/Ticketmaster pre-sale fiasco. Donna opens a show with a funny story about a friend (who shall remain nameless) who fell asleep at the opera and ended up sitting in the handing cap spot. How did this come to be? Oh, and somehow we meander into the continued conversation about Caddy’s bedside manner again. Dead or not…alive. The segment continues. We had to, as Donna left a lot of names up in the air on the last one, so we’re back to tie up some loose ends. Poor Ticketmaster…I guess. In the aftermath of the just awful job managing the rollout of pre-sale tickets for Taylor’s upcoming tour, the CEO went on the public circuit tour to apologize and blame market demands and…Taylor Swift’s immeasurable success? Come on man. Taylor apologizes to the fans, too. We still love you. Don’t forget to hit up the grocery store before Thanksgiving, and Caddy has some advice: volunteer to bring cranberry sauce to the party. It’s the only Thanksgiving staple whose price has actually gone DOWN since the inflation boom of 2022. We’re you one of the lucky few who made it through the T-Swift ticket queue? Seriously? Tell us what it was like winning the lottery. Text or call 770-464-6024. And take us with you.
| Let's get dizzy. | 17 Nov 2022 | 00:35:04 | |
Grab the Dramamine and Fireball, it's time for the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. We start off strong and passionate by talking Taylor Swift and the cutting edge Eras tour. Donna breaks down the new method of selling out stadiums with credit cards, presales and very long waiting lists. It's a marketing style that we think will be the new norm now that Swifties have proven the concept. Then we hear from @Jesus and Marvin Gaye, except Marvin isn't verified. So who knows. From there we go to Dolly Parton, $100 million and what qualifies for the Jeff Bezos something-something award. How long would it take YOU to give away the money? We also introduce a brand new competitive segment to the show - Dead, or not Dead? So tune in and play along. On today's episode of the Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast, Donna brings the receipts. Reuben and Rita - it happened, folks. Thanksgiving is always a good time for college kids (and parents) to reunite in the middle of the chaos of first semester. Donna opens the show talking about missing Olivia, who is in her first semester at the University of Tennessee, and who she hasn’t had home since August. Then Caddy and Donna get right back into the afterglow of the CMA Awards. Caddy in particular got a lot of questions from the listener line (call or text 770-464-6024 anytime!) that he wants to address. In particular, was Maren Morris there? After her blowup with Brittany Aldean, did she show up? The answers is yes, sort of. Caddy explains. Donna’s longtime friend Allison joins the show to validate Donna’s truly bizarre story about their mutual friend Rita and her high school…husband, Reuben. Donna has known Allison since 5th grade and Allison was in the room for most of Rita and Reuben’s shenanigans. In fact, she was actually in the wedding! So yes, the story is true, and we know you are here for all the juicy details. Crazy high school stories. Got one? No way it can top Rita and Reuben…right? Call or text 770-464-6024 and let us know!
| The 2022 CMA Awards with the Jacks | 10 Nov 2022 | 00:38:42 | |
On today’s special episode of The Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Caddy and Donna sit down to discuss last night’s CMA Awards. The 2022 CMA Awards night was hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning and was full of highlights, funny moments and recognitions of artists we lost this year. Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood opened up the night by paying homage to Loretta Lynn. There were definitely some snubs, but for the most part, we think the right folks walked away with the hardware. Listen to Caddy and Donna’s takes on their favorite moments! And the winners are… ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR Luke Combs SINGLE OF THE YEAR “‘Til You Can’t” – Cody Johnson ALBUM OF THE YEAR “Growin’ Up” – Luke Combs SONG OF THE YEAR “Buy Dirt” – Jordan Davis featuring Luke Bryan FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR Lainey Wilson MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR Chris Stapleton VOCAL GROUP OF THE YEAR Old Dominion VOCAL DUO OF THE YEAR Brothers Osborne MUSICAL EVENT OF THE YEAR “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” – Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde MUSICIAN OF THE YEAR Jenee Fleenor, Fiddle MUSIC VIDEO OF THE YEAR “‘Til You Can’t” – Cody Johnson NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR Lainey Wilson What was YOUR favorite moment from the awards show? If you have been wondering why Rita Martin married a man named Rubin she met at the skating rink, then this episode of Cadillac Jack – My Second Act is the one for you. Buckle up. But first, Donna sees some crazy things when she is working retail at the store. The other day a Spanish speaking *only* family came in to do some shopping. While Donna doesn’t speak Spanish, she still thought she could be helpful. Apparently though, all she was doing was insisting they buy a cat. Meow. If you are listening to this on upload day then you will not have watched the CMA Awards show yet! Donna and Caddy give a little preview of the night and promise a recap in your podcast feeds by noon Thursday. Of course, a big shout out to the Georgia Bulldawgs who rolled over Tennessee on Saturday. Stetson Bennett is going to need to add some extra minutes to his phone plan though. Oh, Rita Martin. What did she see in Rubin oh so many years ago at the skating rink? Donna teased this story last week and you knew Caddy wasn’t going to let her shelf it. He brings it back up and Donna spills the beans. Send us your reactions to the CMA Awards show. Surprises? Favorites? Let us know. Call or text 770-464-6024.
| Three tickets to paradise | 03 Nov 2022 | 00:58:37 | |
We start this Halloween episode with a recap of black cats, questionable costumes and 2 pm traffic. One question off the top - when did Halloween costumes become so… short? Then we take it to Esther and her two CEOs. Do you think we are doing too much for our kids? Can we fix it by asking them to stir the pancake batter? Cadillac and Donna Jack chime in. Then a few quick hits, like daylight savings, Dolly Parton and Eminem. Which leads us to the next segment: Where do you get your news? If you're like 10% of Americans, your answer is Tik Tok. Donna gives some advice on how to tell the slides from the noodles. We go from there to parenting and round it up with some Judd news ourselves. Don't miss the tour! Once you're all tuned in and ready for action, we hit the ground running. That's right. Ben Burnett calls in to talk Election Day, politicians and how to commit tax fraud. Just kidding…right? Who knows. Take a listen, then come back next week when it's time to face the music. We'll see just how close Ben's predictions were to being right. Get your betting slips in now at 7704646024.
| Those that have done good, and those that tried | 01 Nov 2022 | 00:51:50 | |
As the Jack family continues to mourn the passing of Mr. Al, they’ve had some conversations about the afterlife, heaven, and many unanswerable questions. Like, who gets into Heaven and when you’re in, who do you hang out with? If you were divorced on Earth, do your kids still split time with each parent? Or, as Caddy suggests, is everyone just at peace with each other? In other news, Elon Musk is now the owner of Twitter and he is cleaning house. He wants to remake the social media behemoth to, in his mind, be more inclusive to people of all walks of life and encourage more free speech. However, in his first full 24 hours on the job, usage of the “n word” jumped 500%. Coincidence? Or just more people exercising their “free speech?” Vince Dooley was a damn good dawg. The longtime football coach and Georgia icon passed away shortly before the Georgia-Florida game on Saturday. Kirby Smart opened up his post-game press conference by talking about Coach Dooley and why it was important for his team to dedicate the game to their late coach. Going back to the introductory segment, who is Coach Dooley hanging out with in heaven now? Bear Bryant? Are they smoking cigars? Better not tell Barbara. All that and much more on today’s episode. Friend of the show Ben Burnett joins the show on Thursday. Tune in! Do schools expect too much of girls with strict dress clothes? Shouldn’t the boys be expected to control themselves? If you have any thoughts on the subject, let us know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| Remembering Mr. Al | 27 Oct 2022 | 00:45:26 | |
Howard “Al” Rowe, 102, of Smyrna, passed away October 19, 2022. Al lived by example, serving God and loving those around him. He was a proud, sincere, and patriotic father, grandfather, great-grandfather and companion. On this episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act, Caddy and Donna share stories and remember Mr. Al. It’s not all tears on this show. Appropriately there are some laughs and smiles and chokes and jokes. And yes, even a Morgan Wallen discussion. We love you Mr. Al. This one’s for you.
| A story of faith | 25 Oct 2022 | 00:57:27 | |
Today on the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, we talk to a family who has every reason to feel resentment after a tragedy in their lives, but instead, decide to walk by faith. It makes all the difference, folks, and we are proud to tell their story. But first, before we get into it, Donna has a few things to say. Do you know those moments when you get stuck in a conversation with someone that you’ve really got no business being stuck in a conversation with? How do you get out of it? Donna has figured it out and she is here to fill you in. Also, my oh my has Harry Styles done it now. After he and Olivia Wilde’s tryst was discovered by Jason Sudeikis with the help of an Apple Watch, Caddy and Donna talk about how wild the story is and the acceptable limits of “snooping” by people. People: keep your Fitbit under lock and key. Donna give her take on the new T-Swift Midnights album and reviews some of her favorites on this week’s segment for the Donna & Caddy Hype Song Playlist. Caddy chimes in (he’s not a fan of the cussing) and they talk about her song writing style and her inspirations. Even more on the album in the next episode on Thursday. When an electrical fire at their business, Heirloom Market Co., upends the lives of Laura and Justin Gibson, they turned to faith and a community they loved to get them through a hard time in their lives. Caddy visits the scene of the fire and talks with Laura about the day that would change her life forever. She recounts seeing the smoke in the distance, but not thinking much of it, until she got the call that her business was indeed gulfed in flames. She and Caddy also talk with Trinity Christian Football Coach Kenny Dallas, about how his football team ran to the scene of the fire and helped the fire department contain the blaze. In the end, time after time, the community came through for the Gibsons, they plan to rebuild, and faith will see them through. Lastly, Caddy pays his respects to Leslie Jordan, with the late breaking news that tragically, he was killed in a car crash on Monday. He was a candle for all of us during the pandemic, and he will be dearly missed. We would love to hear how faith has gotten you through a tough patch in your life. Drop us a text or give Caddy a call at 770-464-6024.
| Olivia Wilde, Dolly Parton and why we may lose the podcast | 20 Oct 2022 | 00:48:06 | |
Do you fool around? If so, you'll want to listen closely to this episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act.
Is she blonde? Or newly blonde? You ever see a haircut that just makes you go… silent? Well, it happened to Donna on a trip this weekend. We cover how to react in those situations and end up in Dollywood. No, really.
Then we spend a few minutes on the Jason Sudeikis, Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles. What's worse: serving someone papers outside church on Easter? Or while their performing on stage? Olivia Wilde, Cadillac and Donna Jack swap stories and compare. It also includes some importance guidance for those who like to fool around while wearing Apple Watches. We just have one thing to say: be careful.
The show does return to Beauty and the Beast for a bit of trivia to fulfil our designation as a semi-musical podcast. (See what I did there?) And to really end the quota we take a look at Breaker Breaker One-Nine and what really gets one co-host going. It's the segment that really might kick the podcast off the airwaves. (As if- remember Episode 70?)
We do give a ring to General Lee John and return his message. It's not 23 years, it's 23 seasons. Capeesh? Don't shoot your musket this way General John. We know you're listening. Now go back to bed!
That's all we've got. Trust your hair. Hold it tight. Then give us a call. 7704646024.
| Lean in close | 30 Jan 2024 | 00:28:45 | |
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! We’ve got Alan Jackson, Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift news for you today. What more do you need? But first, Alex Murdaugh was in the news again this week when he made a motion for a new trial. Apparently, the County Clerk may have not been able to keep her mouth shut throughout the trial and one of the jurors says that she may have influenced their decision to convict. However, the judge denied his motion. Can you imagine if we had to sit through another trial?! The news sure does make Caddy miss his unpaid jury consultant days. He wouldn’t have put up with that garbage from the County Clerk. Also, Taylor Swift: is she going to make it to Vegas in time for her beau’s football game? The Super Bowl, that is. She will be in Japan for a concert the day before. Aviation experts everywhere are crunching the numbers to see if she will be able to make it back in time. There was a very strange story about three Chiefs fans who froze to death on a back porch. Caddy and Donna weigh in. Alan Jackson, Morgan Wallen and much more on today’s episode! Thanks for tuning in. Are you more or less likely to watch the Super Bowl because of the T-Swift drama? Let us know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| Fudge is gone | 18 Oct 2022 | 00:37:21 | |
Jason Aldean sold out his show in Nashville and was joined on stage by a friend who may or may not be regretting her appearance. Find out who on today’s episode of Cadillac Jack – My Second Act. Donna got to see all 3 kids this weekend in Tennessee. It gave her some time to be mom again, give advice, answer questions, and just spend time in their presence. You never know how much you’ll miss it until you do! That said, it was exhausting, and she slept like a baby for the first time in a while. Speaking of Tennessee…am I right Alabama?! What a game! While Donna and Charlotte didn’t get to see it in person (Wil did), they did get to spend time on campus during one of the more memorable Saturday nights in Knoxville in quite some time. Rumor had it that Morgan Wallen was staying at a hotel just down the street. Donna convinced Charlotte to go investigate. Meanwhile, Charlotte suggested it just might be a good time to check on Wil, who was actually IN the stadium, witnessing the goal posts getting torn down and carried down to the river. While he didn’t answer his phone at first…he’s fine and has a hell of a story to tell now. Chip in to the GoFundMe campaign! Jason Aldean was back at Bridgestone Arena. Sold out crowd, of course, and he surprised the crowd when some of his fellow country music stars joined him on stage. Find out which one of them may be getting some blowback from her appearance now… All that and more on this exciting new episode of Cadillac Jack – My Second Act. Go Vols! Who looks better in orange – Caddy or Donna? You decide. Text or call 770-464-6024 and let us know.
| We're sorry Lorne Michaels | 13 Oct 2022 | 00:31:31 | |
Tough day at the office here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. We start the show with copyright infringement and end it with, you guessed it - more copyright infringement.
October 10 was World Mental Health Day and we have a bone to pick with our employers. And society. And Microsoft Outlook. This episode comes out at midnight, and if you're listening at 12:05: you're part of the problem. (Just kidding. Never stop.)
Really though Donna starts us off by talking workplace boundaries and what most people can do to check in on each other.
The Jacks move from there into parenting and social media, but not the way you expect. It's a thoughtful conversation about expectations, example-setting and being the better person. And ps - there's nothing special about Bennett Woods.
We head almost straight into today's Hype Songs to fulfill our obligation as a semi-music podcast. Donna has some Noah Thompson all the way from Kentucky. Caddy brings along a lifetime achiever - Alan Jackson. This ain't your mama's Jackson. Then we touch our country notebook with some news about Kenny Chesney, Kelsea Ballerini, Blake Shelton and friend of the show Calista Clark.
That's about it to wrap us up. Of course, second to last word gives us the E. Please don't listen to this show Lorne Michaels. But if you do, call us. 7704646024.
| I’m getting hot just thinking about it | 11 Oct 2022 | 00:44:18 | |
On today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Caddy and Donna take a shot at Taylor Swift. Come at the queen, you best not miss. Donna opens the show about dads at the airport. Have you ever noticed that they walk really fast, especially when there is a mama with a gaggle of kids and 12 suitcases struggling behind him? Before bringing this subject to today’s episode, Donna did some (unscientific) polling, and it is definitely a thing. Caddy offers a defense on behalf of the men. Kelsea Ballerini burst onto the country music scene a few years back when her debut single "Love Me Like You Mean It" reached number one and made her the first female artist to accomplish the feat since Carrie Underwood in 2006. However…we are finding out now that the “help” she received from Taylor Swift in search of stardom may not have just been given out of the kindness of T-Swift’s heart. In fact, quite a bit of money may have changed hands. Fair of foul? Caddy and Donna discuss. On that note, what celebrity makes the most money per post on their Instagram? We bet you won’t be able to guess. Morgan Evans, Ashley McBryde, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and much more on this country music heavy episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. Thanks for tuning in! Let’s continue Donna’s poll. Does your husband carry his weight at the airport? Text or call 770-464-6024.
| RIP Loretta Lynn | 06 Oct 2022 | 00:37:40 | |
On today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Donna and Caddy pay homage to a country music legend and icon. Right before Caddy and Donna started recording today’s pod, news of Loretta Lynn’s passing broke and changed the whole script for the show, as it should have. Loretta was and is a country music icon. Caddy and Donna share their very personal stories and connections with the superstar and what she meant to not just country music, but the entertainment industry as a whole. We sure hope Donna can help Caddy find that picture. If she can, you know where you’ll be able to see it Saturday morning… Caddy shares a story only Caddy can share about the measures he took to gas up his depleted car the other day. When he says he was on “E”, we mean the needle had moved past it and was resting nicely on the dashboard. He made it back home though, and find out what he brought back with him. We suspect he may have some regrets when it comes time for Donna to do some holiday shopping! Ashton Kutcher, country music and so much more on today’s episode of pod. Thanks for tuning in! Have you ever run out of gas before you could make it to the filling station? Tell us what happened! Text or call 770-464-6024.
| This world has gone mad | 04 Oct 2022 | 00:43:05 | |
So the question is, when you try on a pair of pants in a dressing room, do you have the decency to put them back if you don’t buy them, or do you just leave them there for someone else to put back? Donna explores the answer to this one with some recent real life experiences she’s had with a dude who just couldn’t make up his mind. Ever been on a date that went wrong quick? Well, have you ever been on a date and the dude drove your car into a river? Yeah, that happened recently, and Caddy and Donna talk about how the dating world has changed and kids just don’t use some damn common sense. Oh yeah, and Donna talks about the one time she went on a blind date. You won’t want to miss this story. Husky or stocky? Let’s go Georgia sports! Hell of a weekend with UGA, Georgia Tech, Braves and Falcons all walking away big winners. Which is more than we can say for Aaron Rodgers, JJ Watt and Tua Tagovailoa… Let us know your worst first date story. We’d love to share it on an upcoming episode. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| Even the bathrooms are bigger in Texas. | 29 Sep 2022 | 00:49:04 | |
Bring in the dancing hooves, it’s the 300th episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. Do you need another reason to believe how much smarter and more refined women are than men? We’ll give you one- Urinal troughs. Caddy and Donna kick us off with a little potty talk and what it means when someone walks in on you. With or without the trough. We’ve seen the future, and it’s Harry Styles. Harry is pioneering a new way of touring and we think it’ll change the game. Find out why, and why that means that us in the major metros will be the ones hitting the road. Music is now our PRIMARY category in Apple Podcasts, so we basically spend the entire second half of the show talking tunes. Winona, setlists and, yes, more Harry Styles. Then a bit of housekeeping. We find out what Door 14 is, where Crossfit Chris is and how to handle a lesson in Disney kindness. All that and more on Show 300. What’s 301? Let us know. 7704646024.
| Look at the shoes I’m wearing. Look how cute I look. | 27 Sep 2022 | 00:45:00 | |
Donna Choate has a low tire. It is regularly low, in fact, even after attempts to fill it. So, Donna made her way over to one of those oil change and new tire in-and-out drive thru shops. Unfortunately though, Donna didn’t drive through. Hear the story on how the mechanic ended up behind the wheel and Donna and her heels were guiding him in and out of the pit. We hope he still has a job. On a more serious note, Caddy shares the story of the Cherokee Casket Company in Griffin, GA, and the recent Community Service award they received. Cherokee Casket is one of the only casket companies in the world that makes caskets exclusively for children, and after the massacre in Uvalde, Texas, they sent 19 custom caskets to the families of the victims at no charge. It is a touching story and Caddy shares with listeners the little things they do to make a tragic event in families’ lives a little less heavy. Ever been arrested for making terroristic threats if your college football team didn’t beat their opponent? Me neither, but a young lady at the University of Utah just got cuffed for it and her mama CANNOT be happy with her right now. Oh, and Utah won anyways. I repeat: If you want Caddy to run the Mayor’s Corporate Challenge 5k you MUST text or leave him a voicemail and encourage him. He is on the fence. 770-464-6024.
| I don't want to get wet or bloody | 22 Sep 2022 | 00:31:28 | |
Today on the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Caddy and Donna discuss why Adam Levine is…well…a dirtbag. He has been in the news recently because he “crossed the line,” in his words, with an Instagram model - Sumner Stroh – 20 years his junior AND asked if she would be OK if he named his new baby Sumner. The one that his WIFE is currently carrying. Caddy and Donna discuss whether or not he was serious, if it matters, and his poor wife and what she is going to do. According to Donna, David Beckham is in her Top 5. And, she said she would have stood in the line, just like him, to pay her respects to the Queen if she had been a Brit in England. Caddy? Not so much. He is not really into that whole “queuing” thing. He would have taken the fast past though. Or at least signed the guest registry. Either would have been fine. Some hot new hits on the Spotify hype song play list and much, much more on today’s episode! Jury is still out on whether Caddy is going to run in the Mayor’s 5k. Think he should? Send him some encouragement. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| The magic of Luke Combs | 20 Sep 2022 | 00:39:30 | |
Luke Combs gets rowdy on college game day. It paid off. And the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act is here for it. But first, Donna has been a bit tired lately. So much so, she has been trying sleep apps she has found while scrolling the App store at night while lying awake in bed. The research may have paid off, and she’d here to start the show with a recommendation. Part of the reason Donna may be so tired is she had to deal with Caddy on a roundtrip…together…in the same car! Long time listeners of the show will know that that is something the Jacks just don’t do. However, it happened when they recently made a 4.5 hour drive to Asheville to visit Olivia and Wil. A little Jack family reunion if you will, now that they have two living in Knoxville. They all survived, with Charlotte’s help on the trip back home. Have you ever wondered why the ATM, or the check out person when using your debit card, gets to see your balance when its negative?! Or is it just Caddy? Well, regardless, Caddy has a bone to pick and you are just going to have to come along for the ride. Making a guest appearance on the podcast is Alpharetta Mayor Jim Gilvin! He joins the show to talk about the upcoming Alpharetta Mayor’s Corporate Challenge 5k and the new PR he is about to set. Donna also tries to convince Caddy that he should join the Mayor and well, let’s just say Caddy has a conflict. Should Caddy run in the Alpharetta Mayor’s Corporate Challenge 5k? Let us know what you think. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| Cold sweats and open tabs | 15 Sep 2022 | 00:46:29 | |
Throw out your run-of-show, it's a fly-by-the-seat episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act.
This week had curriculum night and Donna has broken into a cold sweat. It's not (entirely) because she's worried about what tabs were left open.
We've also decided to name the Cadillac and Donna Jack Institute of Learning Top 100 Colleges and Universities. So, let us know if you're interested in topping the list and also your marketing director's cell phone number. We stay on the topic of colleges for awhile and all the opportunities available to students today.
Caddy moves on to talk about one of the most powerful charitable events he'd ever witnessed. No jokes here- it's a pretty cool story.
We touch on all that and a bit of tunes to fulfil our designation as a semi-music podcast. Give it a listen and let us know your best jokes. 7704646024.
And new podcast name we call it - Thoughts in My Head.
| Stoners vs. Drinkers | 24 Jan 2024 | 00:45:05 | |
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! On today’s show Donna describes how she sold the vest off a man’s back. But first, have you ever walked into a Starbucks and someone was just…drinking coffee? Most of the time, you’ll see someone on their phone, laptop or reading a book. Well, Donna spotted an older gentleman who was just sitting back and enjoying a cup of joe. Imagine that. Have we become too busy to just slow down and take a look around? Speaking of too busy: Caddy is finding it…difficult to get in some piano practices before his big show. He has plenty of good excuses though, or so says Caddy. Also, you won’t want to miss this story about how Donna literally sold the vest off a man’s back unbeknownst to him. We all know Donna is a great salesperson, but this is next level. Lastly, we have a conversation about Elle King’s recent “performance” at a Dolly Parton tribute concert where she showed up absolutely hammered and frankly, embarrassed herself. Who was at fault? When do you know you have a problem? Have you ever had to apologize to someone for your actions the night before while in the cups? Let us know and for what. Text or call 770-464-6024.
| Oh my god! My water broke. | 13 Sep 2022 | 00:34:45 | |
On the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast today, Caddy and Donna share some observations and funny stories about the Queen and her underlings. But first, have you been to a college football game recently, looked around in the bleachers, and wondered where the heck these people came from? Donna opens by discussing dramatic change in attire the young kids are wearing these days to the games. Certainly a lot different than when she was a young Evan Williams mule on the campus of the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs! Over the weekend we saw a lot of tributes on TV to Queen Elizabeth, may she rest in peace. Caddy and Donna have a little chat about the latest, the new royal lineage, and Britain’s new King. They also talk about some gaffs by former American Presidents and First Ladies in their encounters with the Queen. As always though, Her Royal Highness always had a great sense of humor. Anyone watch any football over the weekend? Did you catch Texas A&M and Notre Dame going down to Appalachia State and Marshall?! My goodness. I mean, good for these smaller schools for showing up to play, but how embarrassing would it be to be an alumni of one of the losing schools? Again, Go Dawgs. I know Donna is not the only one who has been caught sneaking something into a football game. Any of our listeners out there have their own humorous experience to share? Text or call us. 770-464-6024.
| Fan of the phone | 08 Sep 2022 | 00:43:42 | |
We have the Thursday blues here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. There's been some breaking news about Freddie Freeman. The problem is that the news is giving us trust issues when it comes to believing radio hosts. Awkward. (I wouldn't want to be Bobby Bluetooth right now.)
We keep it rolling with a few more sports highlights (odd) before going into the Country Music Association award nominations. We fulfill our obligation as a semi-music podcast to talk Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning and all other things CMAs. We just want to know - who is going to sit with Maren Morris?
Then Kanye West shares a little too much about Kim Kardashian, so nothing new in the entertainment sector.
If you get a missed call, no voicemail, what do you do? Call back, text or do nothing? If you responded with option A, what was the last small animal you tortured? Let us know. Just don't leave a VM. 7704646024.
| Things that Donna thinks in her head | 06 Sep 2022 | 00:49:37 | |
On today’s episode of the Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast it’s all country music and Georgia Bulldogs. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. Donna opens the show as she often does with some advice for all parents, and it really comes down to this: hug your kids! Especially dads with their girls and moms with their boys. They need it. They may not know they do, but they do. Caddy tests the theory. Sorry Charlotte. HBTFD?! Caddy recaps his adventure with Second Wind Dreams and Mr. Parker down to Mercedes Benz Stadium to see the Dawgs absolutely throttle the Oregon Ducks. Caddy got to see the Dawgs in all their glory in person on the 50 yard line. Row 1. Go Dawgs. Maren Morris has put her money where her mouth is. In 24 hours she has helped to raise over $100k for trans youth in crisis. This is all in response to the ongoing fiasco with Brittany Aldean (Tucker Carlson is involved now, too) and her perceived anti-trans social media post. Donna and Caddy discuss why this story just won’t go away. Donna shares one of the things she loves most about Caddy on today’s episode. What is one of your favorites things about your spouse? Call or text 770-464-6024 and let us know!
