It’s Valentine’s Day on the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast and love is in the air. Well, something is in the air.

First up though, Donna wants to thank all the Pod Peeps for coming to her defense and supporting her theory that dogs can learn sign language. Caddy has come to terms with it and Roscoe is making progress. Well, sort of. Hear how Roscoe may be feeling a bit overwhelmed.

And, speaking of Roscoe, Caddy has some cleaning up to do on the front porch. This leads to some…interesting back and forth between he and Donna and some binge worthy Ring Video material for daughter Charlotte.

As you all know, Donna has been struggling to find a Pickleball partner. So, for now, she has found an alternative means for exercising. It will be happening in the garage and Caddy will not be participating.

Suns out guns out here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. We're getting ready for Spring Break and Donna's going skiing. 

Endearing and enduring stories from our lives. That's the name of the game here, as you've heard many times. Cadillac and Donna Jack kick us off down Memory Lane and on up the ski lift. We even have our own toned Ski Doula in tight ski pants. 

Then we talk about allegations. Not just certain allegations (cannibalism) but also the larger picture of allegations and the danger surrounding them. We look back at the only segment we've ever removed from a show, regardless of how we felt about the subjects of the story. We're an entertainment podcast (and partially music!) but we have standards. Plus, we do run into a lot of people at parties. 

We go straight from there, make a pit stop at copyright infringement, and keep running all the way through the future of country radio. There's a conversation about Morgan Wallen and how he inadvertently started the conversation of whether you can become an artist without the station. And of course, some highlights from the Grammy's.

On the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Caddy has a surprise for Donna and gets a surprise of his own.

But first, we get an update on Caddy’s supervision of the Rainbow Sparkles visit with Roscoe. It didn’t start off great, which made Caddy a little grumpy. Roscoe is a happy camper though.

By the way, it is freezing in this studio.

Also, we find out that Donna is endeavoring on a quest to teach Roscoe sign language and swears they’ve made some great progress. You decide for yourself when she details the evidence.

On a much more serious note, Caddy has a gift for Donna that he gives her live on the show. She had no idea it was happening. It is particularly sentimental and thoughtful and it leads Donna and Caddy to converse on people who find themselves in a tough spot. Their advice? Just. Keep. Going. You’ve got this.

Caddy and Donna celebrated their wedding anniversary in the Tech City of the South at one of its many new high class locally owned restaurants. Not too long later though, Donna’s ADD medicine wears off and we get a preview of what Caddy gave her for Christmas…

We’ve also got some big corrections to make. On the last segment of Dead or Not Dead we suggested someone was a little bit handsy and we were way off base, at least we think. Naturally, the conversation leads to a discussion on people getting goosed and how political correctness has changed in the last few years.

Have you ever heard of the “heat button” on TikTok? A Forbes article detailed this secret feature that confirmed that they have the ability to artificially make posts go viral . Caddy and Donna put it to the test and Donna opens up her app to see what she is getting served with these days.

Have you ever noticed how the weirdest email addresses are always associated with an @aol or something else strange like that? Well, Donna has. When she is working retail she has to ask customers for their email for receipts and the like and she has heard some STRANGE ones. Are these folks not embarrassed to say them out loud?!

Also, it’s time for Roscoe to get his nails trimmed, and what that means is it’s time for Rainbow Sparkles. Donna explains.

If Caddy and Donna formed their own country duo, what would their name be? We hinted at this recently and it’s time for the big reveal. Both Caddy and Donna bring some suggestions to the table and let’s just say there is not a lot of middle ground. Plus, Donna brings a list of demands she would have for concert venues.

At the Iowa State Fair there is a “husband calling” contest. Frankly, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Contestants are awarded prizes for the “best” holler to their husband. Caddy plays the winner and then Donna partakes with her own entry. Caddy’s ears melt on the spot.
