So the GRAMMY-nominated member of the Grand Ole Opry just called Tug & Scott to say he wanted to come visit with us again on the Braves Country Podcast!  

For nearly two decades, multi-platinum MCA Nashville recording artist Josh Turner has been one of Country Music’s most recognizable voices, selling MILLIONS of records and amassing BILLIONS of global streams…  

And he just released his 10th studio album - “This Country Music Thing” - so we’re proud to have our buddy join us again at the Braves Radio Network Studios to talk Braves Baseball *and* Country Music…

We’ll talk about the Braves and why he moved to Georgia, his Greatest Hits Tour, and we’ll even play a couple of tracks from his new album, including one called “Down In Georgia” and the first single "Two Steppin’ On The Moon”...

Military Brat from Virginia who went to the College of William and Mary! You
know him from movies like Zoolander, Starsky and Hutch, and the voice
of ‘Remy’ the rat in Pixar’s Oscar-winning movie, Ratatouille; and from TV Shows
like Parks and Recreation, The King of Queens, The Goldberg's and even an
appearance on Seinfeld!

This October, he’s bringing his stand-up comedy home to the South on
his “Effervescent” tour which features some very special stops throughout
Braves Country; Wednesday October 18th Patton Oswalt returns to the 40 Watt
Club in Athens, Georgia and he stops by the City Winery in Atlanta on Friday
October 20th and Nashville on Saturday October 21st.
Oswalt is returning to Athens to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of his first
comedy album, “Feelin’ Kinda Patton” which was recorded at the 40 Watt Club.
And we hear that the Mayor of Athens is going to present him with the Key
To The City!

Everything about the Devon Worley Band makes you think of the South! Big classic guitar riffs and a soulful female lead singer belting out anthems! They’ve even shared the stage with bands like Whiskey Myers and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Fresh & Raw Tour is BACK at The Shack! We are turning up the volume and bringing the Nashville music party to you Saturday 9.16 from 6p-9p. This Nashville singer/songwriter concert will feature NBC's The Voice finalist and hit singer/songwriter Barrett Baber and current viral Nashville singer/songwriter Taylor Goyette. GRAMMY winning Nashville rocker Mike Farris calls home to Braves Country from Oslo, Norway while on tour…

Farris got personal on his last record, “Silver & Stone” on Compass Records. The title referred to his wife Julie's wedding ring, and the album is a celebration of their 25+ years of marriage and her steadfastness in sticking by him through his years struggling with addiction and alcoholism. 

Now sober for many years, Farris has the energy and conviction of a man saved, a stack of anecdotes and life experiences that would make most people’s heads spin, and a soulful vocal delivery reminiscent of Sam Cooke or Otis Redding. 

Last month, Farris released his soulful rendition of the Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ classic, “Honeysuckle Blue” for the upcoming album “Let’s Go Dancing: a Celebration of Kevn Kinney” on Tasty Goody Records. It’s fantastic; and we play the single half way through this episode…

This Tennessee-born Rocker is known for his Soul-Singing and his major label band, The Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies - but you might not know he’s a life-long fan of the Atlanta Braves and that he's coming to Mableton, Georgia on October 7th for a special “Triumph In Life” Concert…

Jack’s Cheesecake is a Watkinsville, Georgia based bakery that delivers beautiful, delicious, award-winning Cheesecakes! 15 year old owner-operator Jack Leach is a talented young man with autism who excels in playing basketball and making cheesecake. Jack is a two-time Georgia Special Olympic Basketball Gold Medalist and a huge fan of the Atlanta Hawks, Georgia Bulldogs, and of course - the Atlanta Braves! We met Jack and his Dad, Brent recently at a Braves Game and after hearing their inspiring story, we had to invite them to the Braves Radio Network Studios to tell everyone in Braves Country about Jack’s Cheesecake! Jackie Raye was raised in Athens, GA. attending North Oconee HS and grew up a #Dawgs fan though her dad coached at Georgia Tech. She grew up not dancing and acting but practicing taekwondo. As a teenager Jackie changed paths and started focusing on the arts. She was accepted to TCU's elite theatre program and after graduating she moved to NYC.
