The Bros caught up with Extreme Sports Superstars Travis Pastrana and Jim York during a small break in-between races at the RWO Key West Offshore World Championship, as they returned to offshore powerboat racing after a four year hiatus. Special thanks to Anna Frazier and Tad Whitten of Mercury Racing for providing us the coolest sound stage in all the land—"Black Betty", the famed Mercury Racing Tour Truck.

Listen as the duo discusses their triumphant return to the sport to compete for World Championship glory in the hyper-competitive Modified Vee Class in the Dixxon Flannel / Channel 199 Lilly Sport Boat competitor, as well as their previous experiences in the cockpit together. The Bros talk with Adrian Barrett of Barrett Custom Marine in Lake Havasu City, AZ, who has built his business into one of the premier boat shops on the West Coast and beyond. 

Starting fresh out of high school, Adrian quickly took to the marine industry, completing Tech School and Mercury Marine school and landed his first job at Boatland in San Diego County in California. Then joined the team at DCB Performance Boats in El Cajon, where he earned the nickname "AJ", which are not initials for his name and not a flattering moniker.

Listen how he climbed through the ranks with his skill and knowledge, while also aspiring to enter the offshore racing world and joined the CRC Race Team as part of their crew, leading to his current gig of Crew Chief of the MTI Offshore Racing Teams.

The "Bros" catch up with one another after finally being able to connect after some early year events that kept both Myrick and Ray on the road and away from the podcast studio.

One of those events was a whirlwind trip to Monaco for the  Monster Energy / M CON Class 1 team of Tyler Miller and Myrick to receive their hard earned UIM Class 1 World Champion trophies, as well as being forever immortalized on the prestigious Sam Griffith Memorial Trophy, along with the other legends of offshore racing such as Aronow, Bertram, Powers, Bin Hendi, Scism, Tomlinson and Curtis, to name a few. 

Then the usual shenanigans ensue, whenever Myrick and Ray get a chance to get together for an open conversation.

The "Bros" talk with Steve Ticknor, the West Coast's premier performance boating event, the Desert Storm Poker Run and Shootout, scheduled for April 23-26, 2025. 

The long running event brings tens of thousands of people to the town of Lake Havasu City, AZ to experience all of the festivities, including the world famous Street Party on downtown McCulloch Blvd., the exciting Poker Run and the high speed, high adrenaline Shugrue's Shootout that showcases some of the fastest boats in the country. 

Ticknor, along with his partner, Jim Russell, has elevated Desert Storm to unprecedented proportions and has just teamed up with the largest unsanctioned race in the country, the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout, to become a joint Shootout circuit where particpants that run both could be crowned a National title.

After months of three-way scheduling conflicts, the "Bros" finally catch up with offshore racing champion JJ Turk–who just secured the esteemed and highly coveted honors of National Champion, World Champion and also inducted into the APBA Hall of Champions for the 2024 season. He accomplished all  of them for pulling double duty and collecting victories alongside his throttleman, Nick Buis in both Class 5 and Mod Vee classes. 

Racing for XINSURANCE and his own team, Turk Family Racing, Turk has spent most of the last season atop the race podium, collecting checkered flag after checkered flag. Now, for 2025, Turk and Buis will leave their previous boats and climb into the cockpit of the XINSURANCE MTI competitor to compete at the pinnacle of the sport, Pro Class 1.

The "Bros" catch up with one another after a busy few weeks being on the road following the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and the RWO Key West World Championship.

It has been a tumultuous offshore racing season that saw cancellations of the final two races of the regular season and even the first day of racing in Key West due to tropical storms and hurricanes that ravaged the state of Florida, as well as ongoing drama among the ranks of the racers.
