| Hewitt Tomlin KNOWS Strength Coaches Deserve Better | 04 Nov 2025 | 00:19:23 | |
Hewitt Tomlin turned a simple insight as a college quarterback into a global performance platform. At Johns Hopkins University, he and his roommate James Peters saw teammates juggling paper workout packets while carrying iPhones in their pockets. That moment sparked TeamBuildr, a platform built to make coaches more effective, athletes more accountable, and performance programs more connected. Today, TeamBuildr powers more than 5,000 programs worldwide, from high schools to the Denver Nuggets and Tennessee Titans. Bootstrapped and independent, the company has grown to 50 employees and nearly $10M in annual revenue. For Hewitt, the mission is bigger than business. TeamBuildr helps coaches prove their value, align departments, and elevate strength training as the most important classroom for confidence, health, and performance. Or as Hewitt puts it, “Wherever athletes and coaches train, we want to be there.” Hewitt’s mission is to transform the weight room into the most impactful classroom in every school and community. Through TeamBuildr, we equip coaches with powerful tools to program efficiently, track progress, and connect training with wellness and performance. By elevating the role of the coach and democratizing access to strength training, we are building a future where confidence, health, and resilience are within reach for everyone. | Amanda Carpenter KNOWS Exercise Beyond Calories and Heart Beats (Healthy for Life Series part 3) | 04 Feb 2025 | 00:39:30
Dr. Amanda A. Carpenter, PT, CProT, CEAS, is transformational life and leadership coach. __________________________ Amanda is a transformational coach, author, speaker, and the CEO of IAH.fit, a platform dedicated to helping individuals achieve holistic wellness through innovative fitness solutions. With a compelling personal story and a dynamic approach to personal growth, Amanda's work resonates deeply with entrepreneurs, leaders, and anyone seeking to navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience. You can learn more about Amanda through her LinkedIn profile. Amanda’s message is clear: resilience is not about avoiding challenges but about using them as a platform for growth. She recounts moments of profound struggle that shaped her perspective and taught her the value of self-awareness. Her coaching philosophy centers on the idea that transformation begins with embracing vulnerability and committing to personal growth. “When you lean into discomfort, you discover your true strength,” Amanda shares. This principle is not only central to her coaching but also a guiding light for her clients who seek to lead with authenticity and courage. One of Amanda’s key insights in this episode is the distinction between reacting and responding to life’s challenges. She encourages leaders to cultivate mindfulness and intentionality, enabling them to respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively. Amanda also highlights the significance of aligning actions with core values. By staying true to one’s principles, she believes leaders can inspire trust and foster meaningful connections. This authenticity, she asserts, is a cornerstone of effective leadership. Through her engaging storytelling and actionable advice, Amanda invites listeners to reframe their challenges as opportunities for growth. Her practical strategies and relatable anecdotes provide a roadmap for navigating adversity while staying grounded in one’s values. Resilience is not innate; it’s a skill that can be developed through intentional practices like mindfulness and self-reflection. Take Action: Identify one recent challenge and reflect on how it has helped you grow. Journal your insights. The Power of Vulnerability Vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness. Embracing it fosters genuine connections and personal growth. Take Action: Share a personal story of growth with your team or community to inspire authenticity. Respond vs. React Thoughtful responses, grounded in mindfulness, are more effective than impulsive reactions. Take Action: Practice pausing before reacting in a challenging situation this week. Reflect on the difference it makes. Aligning Actions with Values Staying true to your values builds trust and strengthens leadership. Take Action: List your top three core values and assess how your recent decisions align with them. Turning Setbacks into Setups Every setback holds the potential for a comeback. Reframing challenges as opportunities fuels resilience. Take Action: Reframe a current obstacle as an opportunity and outline steps to leverage it for growth. Connect with Amanda A. Carpenter IAH.fit Website https://iah.fit/ LinkedIn Profile https://www.linkedin.com/in/amanda-a-carpenter Amanda’s insights challenge us to embrace discomfort, lead with authenticity, and turn challenges into opportunities for growth. Pamela has lived in Orange County for 35 years where she began her career as a nurse specializing in gynecology and oncology. With many years of conventional medical experience, Pamela brings a unique strength to her practice of Functional and Chinese medicine in that she is able to integrate these various medical disciplines to assure a comprehensive approach for her patients. Upon the advice of a friend, Pamela visited a naturopath and was quickly cured using nutrition, acupuncture and herbal therapy. Her recovery was so remarkable that she was compelled to return to school to learn how she could combine Functional and Chinese medicine with her conventional medical experience to help those with difficult health challenges regain their health and vitality. Today Pamela is board certified by the Metabolic Medical Institute (ABAAHP) to practice functional medicine and licensed to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine by the state of California (LAc). Additionally, she has continued her education in the field of Functional Medicine, a branch of conventional medicine that utilizes laboratory testing and other modalities to identify developing conditions before they become disease. After a comprehensive 3 year training program through Metabolic Medical Institute which is vetted through George Washington and Stanford Universities, she was awarded a board certification in the practice of Functional medicine. Her education in all disciplines is ongoing which allows her to take advantage of the latest advances in all areas of healthcare. | Michael MacDonald KNOWS "You Become What You Sing About All Day Long" | 23 Jan 2025 | 00:35:02
Michael MacDonald, Founder of iah.fit IAH Radio https://ask.iah.fit/iah-radio In the upcoming "Healthy For Life" collaborative book, my chapter, "You Become What You Sing About All Day Long," emphasizes the transformative power of words and music in shaping one's life. Inspired by my sister Shannon's personal statement, I explore how crafting a personal anthem can elevate one's inner frequency and influence the surrounding environment through entrainment. I share my journey from writing songs that trapped me in pain to realizing the power of words in shaping reality. By mastering Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Time-Line Therapy, I learned to rewrite my story and help others do the same. The chapter guides readers in creating their personal song, using silence, automatic writing, and rhythm to align their intentions with their desired life. I highlight the science behind intention and singing, showing how they can manifest change. This journey led to the creation of iah.fit, a platform that uses Resonance-Frequency Music™️ to empower individuals. The chapter concludes with a call to embrace the magic of words and music to transform one's life. DrinkLMNT.com/fitcare
