11: Solo Adventuring on Two Wheels with Laura Mills: Motowaifu
Episode 11
Thursday, October 22, 2026 • Duration 59:01
“I believe in second chances”
Laura is, in her own words, a biker with a love for anime and gaming. With her motorbike, she has reached 37 countries and crossed 100,000 miles, all solo.
I was blown away by the confidence Laura exudes in her solo motorbike adventures. Hearing about these types of quests has always inspired and challenged me, regardless of the gender of the person in the saddle. Yet, I have to confess my admiration for solo female riders.
Seeing her drive to the interview on her bike and being around her energy was just delightful. I felt this motherly and sisterly energy around her, but I also know that I could probably rave with her in a heartbeat.
I loved meeting this free spirit in her maturity and softness. In her sharing of early life traumas, she reflects that honest blend of vulnerability and strength of the human condition, without being bitter or resentful. Hearing more about her early life and that impact felt human and real. This is the kind of truth-sharing without blame that I am deeply grateful for. There is a lot we can learn from this human!
One particular moment from our conversation and her solo adventure moved me to tears: her meeting someone from a country that we, coming from the UK, would judge as harsh and difficult, and that person warmly shaking her hand and embracing her with “Welcome to my country”.
That’s at the very heart of what I want for myself and others: to see each other as people of equal value. Not to judge and fear, but instead come from a place of open-heartedness and curiosity.
She has inspired my family so much that my middle child has now gotten her CBT and is riding her very own red motorbike. I’m still trying to find the time to upgrade my big bike licence and get myself on the road. The inspiration’s there and, when I get to it, I shall be celebrating Laura’s influence in this story. 👀 Watch this episode of Biting Lemons:https://youtu.be/pe_CFCMWoSQ
10: Neurodiversity & Sex Positivity with Marianne Banda
Episode 10
Thursday, October 15, 2026 • Duration 59:01
“I know my kinks to a T” Virgin Island Season 2 contestant Marianne Banda is much more than her participation in the Channel 4 show. She is an actress and a singer/songwriter with a spice of ADHD.
Such an open-hearted, authentic, clean and clear communicator, Marianne Banda was a joy to meet. She taught me with grace some terms about race and let me in on her experience of being brought up in South Africa, which I greatly appreciate. I found her balance between humour and grounded humanity really lovely.
Talking about your sexuality and sex life with a stranger in a bath isn’t your everyday experience but she rose to it with zeal. This is Marianne: a joyous ray of sunshine who wears her heart on her sleeve and has a lot to give.
She feels life deeply, through the lense of neurodiversity and I know that this isn’t an easy ride at times. We dive into her transition to the UK, her parents' relationship and the impact upon her, race and neurodiversity and of course, Virgin Island, the cast and crew and what an amazing experience this was for her sexual awakening and sense of self. P.S. I want to apologise for my feet appearing in the camera shot. I know there are some who find feet rather unappealing and I am sorry when they emerge out of the water. For those that loved it.. Enjoy! In this episode, Marianne mentions the Loop Experience earplugs that help cancel background noises. They can be a life-save for neurodiverse people or people with anxiety, whether it’s at a festival, a party, a concert or a walk through a big city. 9: My Breast Cancer Journey and Trusting In God with Hazel Gaydon
Episode 9
Thursday, October 8, 2026 • Duration 01:13:11
“I went up to the mirror, opened my gown and thanked my breasts” Hazel is a mum to four, one of which is Beth herself. She has been married to her husband for 57 years and together they have seen 11 grandchildren grow up before them. Hazel is a singer, author and counsellor living in East Sussex.
My mum. Just saying that brings a swell of tenderness. Having her step into the bath with me felt like such an honour and also like stepping into a very exposed place. Our relationship is good, loving, steady… and yet nearly half a century of shared life means there are layers, silences and old family patterns that could easily tug at us.
But at this moment, we chose something different. We chose to sit together, open to whatever might rise, trusting that we could meet it with dignity, with grace, with the kind of courage that only grows between two people who have lived a lot of life side by side.
It felt like a soft rewriting of something old.

8: Unbox Life & Experience More with Barbara Carrellas
Episode 8
Thursday, September 24, 2026 • Duration 01:13:05
“Energy Orgasms are for Everyone!”
Barbara Carrellas is an author, sex/life coach, sex educator, university lecturer, workshop facilitator, motivational speaker and theatre artist, specialising in Tantra and holistic sexual exploration.
Barbara Carrellas is a big name in her field: a pioneer whose work has spanned decades, sparked originally by the AIDS crisis of the 1980s and carried forward with unwavering devotion. Over the years she has written books, taught around the world and changed countless lives through her exploration of joy, pleasure and freedom in the mind, body and heart.
I had the privilege of sharing a bath with Barbara at the cusp of her latest book launch, a moment that felt both intimate and historic.
In this episode, we return to where it all began: the roots of her work, the experiences that shaped her and the character behind the teachings. We explore what matters to her and how she unboxes life in all its forms. She offers a rare glimpse into her long‑term lovership with Kate Bornstein, a relationship that has held depth, creativity and devotion for many years.
This is a beautiful episode to deepen into the woman behind an extraordinary body of work and behind an exciting new book for anyone who wants MORE THAN.

7: 14 Million Steps, One Incredible Journey with Kit Birks
Episode 7
Thursday, September 10, 2026 • Duration 01:18:45
“I walked 4,989 miles to prevent a suicide”
Solo adventurer and mental health activist Kit Birks is the first person to have walked the entire length of Europe. Doing so, she has raised over £100,000 towards suicide prevention.
I was so excited to welcome Kit into the bath with me. What an incredible human!
My favourite type of human actually: my people are those who have met the cliff edge, maybe fallen off a few times but learnt to grow wings and fly back to help those who also find themselves on the edge.
As she shares so openly and with such grace, Kit has had a very human experience of meeting oneself through mental health challenges and addiction, which impacted her entire early life.
Having met rock bottom, she found her way to climb up the ladder and rediscover herself in a whole new way. Not only that, she turned her story around so much that she ended up on the most incredible, powerful solo adventure: being part of the change towards and support for a better world.
This is clearly her first of many more adventures and I, for one, feel changed by observing her efforts. Suicide is a leading cause of death for young people aged 15-29 in Europe. In 2021, it accounted for 18.9% of all deaths in this age group on the continent in 2021, surpassing traffic collisions. Men remain roughly 3.7 times more likely to die by suicide than women, though women report mental health problems at higher rates.
These statistics ask us to not stay silent and to speak out, for ourselves and for others. Kit’s story is proof that every corner can be turned. Every life is precious, every life counts.
If you or someone you know has been affected by any of the issues raised in this episode, help and support is available. Samaritans: 116 123(free, day or night, 365 days of the year) / https://www.samaritans.org/?currency=EUR
6: Living From My Own Centre with Kerry O'Sullivan
Episode 6
Thursday, August 27, 2026 • Duration 01:07:34
“I was on the floor begging for mercy” Kerry O’Sullivan is a mother, partner, author, shamanic and tantric practitioner, who just moved to Wales to start a whole new adventure. Get ready for an unapologetically woo episode!
For some, this episode may sound like a touch of madness; for others, it may feel like a foreign language. And then there will be those who resonate instantly — for whom this conversation feels like a safe homecoming. Whatever your response, one thing is undeniable: in this bath, there is JOY. There is gratitude for life. There is reverence for something larger than us.
It was easy for me to relate to much of what Kerry shares: this is a space I feel comfortable in. But I also know how potentially triggering this kind of sharing can be. So my first invitation is simply to pause and ask yourself: Why? What part of you reacts, and what might that reaction be protecting?
My second invitation is to honour the bravery of every guest who gets into this bath. Whether we agree or not, can we choose, with a generous heart, a respectful response? These conversations are not about consensus. They are about courage.
This episode lit up the room. I felt lifted by it in real time, and re‑watching it now, I feel the same. I hope you do too.
What stirred in you? How do you experience life in your body? Would you ever choose a plant‑medicine journey in the jungle?

⚠️ Trigger warning: There is reference to child sexual abuse in this episode. Please care for yourself as you listen.
“Are you here to kill me? I haven’t decided yet.” Psychosexual trauma specialist and leading voice on intrafamilial child sexual abuse, Beaver Meadow advocates for incest and sexual abuse survivors. She teaches giving and receiving consent and questions the systemic misunderstanding that shapes survivor and perpetrator outcomes.
I met Beaver only once in person, years ago, under the warm light of southern Spain. We didn’t exchange life stories then, just a brief, human moment.
Later, when our paths crossed again online, her posts began appearing in my world. They had a way of halting me mid‑scroll. Something in me stirred each time: curiosity, discomfort, recognition. I’ve learnt to treat those sensations as invitations rather than warnings. To pause. To ask: What is this touching in me? What wants to be understood?
I wanted to sit with Beaver in that same spirit, to hear her story and to understand my own responses to it. The journey she takes me on is one I’m still digesting.
After we stopped filming, she shared a moment from her past. Sitting with her father, a man convicted multiple times for sexual offences against children and asking him why he was attracted to children. His answer centred on their lack of body hair.
Later that year, when a client pressured her to remove her own body hair for his preference, she agreed and immediately felt the weight of that choice. She vowed never to do it again. In that moment, the meaning behind her name, Beaver Meadow, unfolded with a new kind of clarity.
This conversation is tender, confronting and necessary.
Beaver, thank you for your courage, your steadiness and your willingness to let us into the deeper layers of your story. I look forward to continuing this conversation: about how we, collectively, can stay more awake, more compassionate and more honest about the realities that shape us all.

4: Raising Teenagers with Rachel Richards
Episode 4
Thursday, July 30, 2026 • Duration 01:01:13
“Be curious, don’t be scared, it has to start with us.”
Rachel was the first stranger to climb into the bath with me. The first person to enter this odd, intimate little space without knowing me at all. That alone felt like an act of trust.
The way she arrived, open‑hearted, curious, unguarded, felt like a gift.
Our conversation didn’t unfold like an interview. It unfurled like recognition. Rachel speaks with a kind of grounded brightness, a steadiness threaded with joy. She radiates the kind of presence that makes you feel instantly safe, instantly seen. She fit into the soul of this project as if she’d been carved into it from the beginning.
In a season where I’m raising three teenagers and learning daily what it means to hold on and let go, Rachel’s voice (through her own podcast and through this moment together) has been a quiet compass. A reminder that community is not optional. It’s oxygen.
Rachel, thank you for stepping into my world with such generosity. You’ve left ripples.

3: All things gender with DK Green
Episode 3
Thursday, July 16, 2026 • Duration 01:16:55
“I was magnificent. I thought, I’d tap that.”
Having DK in the bath with me felt like such a gift: a generous offering of time, knowledge and presence. So many people want to understand gender more deeply but feel awkward, shy or unsure where to begin. Gender, with all its limbs and layers, can feel like unfamiliar terrain.
And then there was DK: grounded, kind, clear and willing to meet every question with patience and wisdom. The perfect person to sit with all the curiosity you lemons send in. Honestly, we could have talked for hours. My list of questions was nowhere near finished.
DK, thank you for stepping into this space with such clarity and heart. You are a powerhouse in the gentlest, most impactful way.

Charlie arrived with a kind of openness that immediately softened the room. There’s a gentleness in the way she speaks, a tone people too often misread, but if you sit with her for even a moment, you feel the steadiness beneath it.
This is why I want us to linger longer with one another, to move past the snap judgments and meet the human waiting underneath. And Charlie… She is luminous.
She talks about her time on Channel 4, the echoes of her upbringing and the quiet strength of her marriage to her remarkable husband. She lets us into the tender corners of her life and it feels like being trusted with something precious.
This conversation was a balm on a busy week. I hope it lands softly for you too.
