Belonging: Conversations about rites of passage, meaningful community, and seasonal living
Becca Piastrelli
Frequency: 1 episode/18d. Total Eps: 152

Welcome to Belonging, a podcast that explores being alive in the age of loneliness. Becca Piastrelli is your host and guide on a journey of courageous reconnection as we explore topics like rites of passage, cultivating meaningful community, seasonal and cyclical living, and what it means to be a good ancestor in these times. She has thought provoking conversations with friends, teachers, elders, and ancestral medicine keepers to help support you in bringing more meaning and connection to your life. She also pops in here and there to share updates and learnings from her own story because we were meant to do this together - cosmically holding hands as we walk the spiral of life. You can expect to be challenged by new (or old) ideas, face your beliefs and what systems informed them, get curious and brave to tell the truth about the deeper, harder things, and feel comforted in the knowing that you don’t have to navigate it all alone.

End Emotional Outsourcing with Béa Victoria Albina
Season 2 · Episode 142
mardi 28 octobre 2025 • Duration 56:35
On this episode, I am joined by Béa Victoria Albina, a trained nurse practitioner, master certified life coach, somatic experiencing practitioner and author of “End Emotional Outsourcing: How to Overcome Your Codependent, Perfectionist, People-Pleasing Habits.” Béa coined the term ‘Emotional Outsourcing’, which describes our co-dependent, people pleasing and perfectionistic habits and how these behaviors cost us our joy, authenticity and true connection to self and others. In this episode, we talk about the cost of chronically and habitually outsourcing our sense of safety, belonging and worth. We dive into the root of these behaviours from a cultural and historical perspective and Bea shines a light on how we were trained up to be disconnected from the earth, magic and our own inner wisdom.
Tune in to hear more from us on:
- How emotional outsourcing can influence all aspects of our lives and sense of self
- The true cost of people pleasing, perfectionism and codependency, and its root causes
- How shifting to a place of trust is a liberating experience, and how to do this
- Trad-wife culture and how to explore femininity as a gateway to empowerment
- Emotional outsourcing in a facilitator role and finding acceptance and surrender in the process of facilitation
- How to learn the body’s language through somatic experience and understanding where survival patterns come from
- Managing text message overwhelm as a recovering people pleaser
