BASS HEAVY is super stoked to present this long-awaited 75 + minute mix of bottom heavy favorites from the Aussie broadcaster and groove-master DJ NIGEL GENTRY, bringing the funk with vintage rarities, classics, and modern funk selections, featuring disco, jazz-funk and boogie jams from Herbie Hancock, Brick, Sharon Jones, Curtis Mayfield, Luther Vandross, Barbara Tucker, Etta James, The Brothers Johnson, Jamiroquai and much more.

NIGEL GENTRY is a Funk and Soul DJ originally from the UK now living in Canberra, Australia. Nigel plays a broad selection of music from the soul and funk of the sixties and seventies to the latest contemporary releases. While living in the UK Nigel hosted the Music for Modern Living Radio show on Radio Wienerwald and also DJ’d at venues across London including Hakkasan, The Pigalle Club and Café ABC in Crystal Palace.  The Music For Modern Living Radio Show was revitalised in 2017 broadcasting on the 2nd Saturdays of every month at 10am GMT and archived onward on blueingreenradio.com.  Find out more about Nigel and follow him on Instagram @djnigel_gentry

Baby K aka Kelly Webb has been involved in music, art and culture since her humble beginnings in Ohio.  Through her love and passion for music, she became the First Lady of respected DJ and Music Production School Dubspot where for many years she helped to organize and facilitate music education for thousands of students worldwide and was honored to work and learn from some of the best in the business. Currently she is working for the Lower East Side Girls Club, perhaps the best job in the world where she is Director of the Sound Studio Program, a free program for young girls 8-18 where DJing, Music Production and Radio Journalism (WGRL) is taught to the next generation in an empowering environment. She wishes to live each day like a joyous episode of Soul Train, one of her greatest influences growing up.
