Who is the mystery meme maker @memenurseofficial? You’ve seen his memes. They've either made you laugh or offended you. Lol. We all know that nursing is not all unicorns and roses. We all know that our work isn’t just one positive life-saving day after another. It’s tough and demanding. Where do we turn for a vent? We turn to places like the @memenurseofficial profile and laugh when we find other people who can understand our reality. Food shaming is very prevalent on social media. It is something that has really made my comfort eating ride feel more like a roller coaster than cruise control, and I hope that with the wrapping of this story, if you are going through the same thing I am, you can find a little comfort in this episode.

We all have that ONE thing we always turn to in times of stress or sadness or trauma, even boredom. My one thing is food. Comfort eating helped me through abusive relationships, losing my job, and every other up and down moment in my roller coaster life. Today, I’m going to polish off this arrest story with some background about what led to my next night in jail. This episode is going to open up the first part of dialogue into my abusive relationship, and also touch on the importance of empathy, especially for those young women in the realm of domestic violence.

I was faced with the unpleasant reality that the consequences for my actions would be difficult. I had succeeded at making an impulsive and reckless decision that would throw me into a pit of very humbling reality. So, you might assume that I learned a lesson and these impulsive reckless actions ceased...think again.
