Hair Care, Wellness & Conscious Beauty with Malini Ohri & Mishti30 Jul 202600:37:10

What does true beauty really mean in today's world?

In this refreshing summer episode of Back Into Alignment, I sit down with Malini Ohri, founder of Saanté Selfcare, and her daughter Mishti for an insightful conversation on how the beauty industry is evolving from cosmetic solutions to conscious wellbeing.

We explore why healthy hair is often a reflection of what's happening inside the body and discuss the importance of hydration, nutrition, stress management, and daily habits that support lasting beauty. Malini also shares practical hair care tips, the benefits of scalp massages, and explains why so many people experience hair thinning or damage after moving to Dubai due to changes in climate, water quality, heat, and lifestyle.

We also dive into how social media has reshaped beauty standards, the pressure of comparison, and why true beauty comes from health, confidence, and self-care rather than perfection. If you're looking for a more holistic approach to beauty, healthy aging, and wellness, this episode is filled with timeless wisdom and practical advice you can start applying today.

Topics covered: Hair health • Hydration • Ayurveda • Scalp care • Beauty standards • Aging gracefully • Women's wellness • Dubai lifestyle • Conscious self-care

Responsible AI: Why Accountability Matters w Elyes Elair18 Dec 202500:41:35

In this episode of Back Into Alignment, I sit down with Elyes Elair to explore the real implications of AI in our daily lives. Beyond the hype, we dive into accountability, responsibility, and ethical leadership in an era where AI is becoming ubiquitous. Elyes shares why curiosity must be balanced with caution, how AI literacy and culture matter as much as technology, and why blindly trusting outputs can be risky. As we move from experimentation to maturity, this conversation invites us to reflect on governance, sustainability, and the human role in AI. A powerful reminder: AI is not just a technical conversation, it's a human one.

Today Stefanie Antunes, Doula educator shared her knowledge about Post Partum depression and her experience with this mood disorder as she called it " Perinatal Depression", It can actually affect more than 15% of mothers.

JRP 010 Prolapse and kegels07 Mar 201900:20:53

Nav Grewal
Registered Physiotherapist-Pelvic Health, Women's Health

Nav is a Pelvic Physiotherapist serving the Toronto, Oakville, and Scarborough communities. After graduating from physiotherapy school, Nav was immediately drawn to Women's Health and decided to focus her practice in this area. Nav has worked extensively with pre and postnatal patients with pelvic floor dysfunction while collaborating with urologists and obstetrician/gynaecologists.

.

Nav believes every woman should be empowered to take care of their own health and therefore she focusses on a lot of education with her clients, as well as in the community. She works with her patients to create a treatment plan with specific goals to help improve their quality of life. She values compassion, trust, and kindness in her patient care. Her goal is to have women's health to be equally represented in physiotherapy school as well as in clinics around Canada, which is currently not the case.

.

When she isn't treating, Nav keeps active by doing yoga, spin, and planning her next mountain hiking adventure.

We went go over the following today:
1) What is prolapse, how childbirth can cause it, symptoms
2) Avoiding prolapse: using breath versus holding breath with lifting, exercise, movement; having good posture; building strength in the muscles of the core - can be done with a women's personal trainer and pelvic physiotherapist
-kegels help when done correctly
-kegels can be combined with exercises such as floor bridges, lunges, squats, body weight exercises as this is more functional than just doing them sitting around

If you want more content like this, please send us some ideas!
Thanks!
