Given the recent focus on NFTs and cryptocurrency in the art market, I wanted to ensure I talked with an art market insider who was also a leader in bringing cryptocurrency into our industry on Art Breaker.  Christina Steinbrecher is the founder and CEO of Blockchain.art, please listen to this episode to learn more about how her and her team are transforming the art world's relationship to cryptocurrency and how she went from an art fair executive to bridging the gap between Silicon Valley and the art world.

We are back for Season Two of Art Breaker, a podcast about innovation in the art world.  For this season I am focusing exclusively on art as an asset class and for my first episode I will discuss the surprising parallels between angel investing and collecting art.  I will also give my top ten rules for collecting art.   No matter why you collect or at what price point, I encourage you to follow these guidelines and collect art with confidence.

For this episode I spoke with the founder and CEO of Artfundi, Tamzin Lovell-Miller.  She is based in South Africa and previously owned an art gallery in Cape Town.  Her first hand experience as a gallerist led her to create Artfundi, which offers all-in-one art inventory and website management.  Their slogan is “Art Management Made Easy.” and I think we can all agree that is something the art world needs.

I was so excited to speak with one of my oldest friends in the art world, Hadley Powell, art advisor and owner of Powell Fine Art Advisory. We discuss how her experience as a Product Manager at Invaluable shaped her role as an art advisor and how she uses technology in her business today.
