Beloved Ones, hello + blessed solstice. I am writing to you after a stunning Solstice morning, preparing my ritual for Rauhnächt and spending time in visioning space with the Ancestors. I feel their proximity closer than ever before, the long night ahead full of memory + celebration.

Yesterday, on the Anniversary of my paternal grandmother’s death, we had a traditional Irish Funeral to lay my maternal grandmother’s body to rest. Usually I associate this time of year with Capricorn’s grandfatherly presence, but somehow, I feel my grandmothers are making their mark on this threshold as an opening of sorts. I cannot deny their presence amidst the proximity of the Ancestral Realm, and the ways they have carved their name into the tree of Life + Death as One.

My experience of Winter Solstice is changing. As mother night spreads her wingspan to its fullest extent, the embrace of darkness seems like a homecoming. I feel quite moved by this moment, as if the doors between the worlds have been cast wide open, and the presence of so many beloveds in spirit are able to come pouring in. What a gift. Working with the Ancestors truly changes the experience of Death in such deep, profound, and mysterious ways. May you feel that eternal presence as a soul friend.

This week, the Spirit of Capricorn is certainly here to meet us at the entrance of the Solstice. Mars makes determined movements through Capricorn, as the Sun + Moon cross that threshold together with Venus soon to follow. It is certtainly a vibe shift, but perhaps a welcome one at that. I always find Capricorn’s steadfast spirit to be so refreshing, a careful guide for our footsteps as we enter Winter’s visioning cave.

If you have been here for previous years of the Altar of Stars Capricorn Szn readings, you’ve likely heard me use my favorite phrase that my ancestors shared with me many cycles ago; ‘what does it take to build a world?’ — this is what Capricorn wants us to sit with. And yet, counter to what our hyper-materialist Capitalist society might say, the tangible action in response to this question is only half (if not less than) the true work of worldbuilding.

As the bringer of Winter, Capricorn initiates us into Deep Time; legacies that extend across generations + lifetimes. To truly build a world, we must be so deeply in touch with this expansive vision, that we can hear the guidance of our Ancestors speaking through the fire. The work of Capricorn, in my opinion, is True Listening. It is an attunement to the cycles of creation that requires our receptivity; only from there can our actions be informed, resolved + determinant. To lean back into the support of the Elder Powers that truly know how to build a world, we must learn how to really listen.

And so, I feel this particular end-of-year threshold is equal parts receptivity + intentional, decisive action. The listening comes first ~ the choices follow.

This is the vision of Sagittarius. Arrows pointed skyward, we are invited to remember the technology of our imagination as essential for the world we wish to live into. This New Moon is ALL ABOUT it. Dreaming as an essential worldbuilding skill.

I’m going to share a ritual this week that a friend reminded me of via Danica Boyce. I have practiced it within its more traditional Ancestral roots of Alpine + Germanic origin, the ritual of Rauhnächte, or 13 nights of wishes. My loves, I can’t believe we are already approaching the threshold of Scorpio season this week. We have another New Moon occuring at the crossroads, the day before the Sun enters a new sign territory. This happened in September with the Virgo New Moon / partial eclipse occuring the day before the Equinox!

This time, Sun + Moon meet at 28* of Libra, the day before Scorpio season begins. However the tone has changed, the story unfurls a new layer…

Persephone has spent the past month learning the terrain of the Underworld, landing after a process of descent. Now, somewhat familiar with the territory, she is presented with a choice. Hades offers her a pomegranate to satisfy her hunger, an extension of kindness in a moment of isolation. If Persephone accepts, knowingly becomes Queen of the Great Below.

In doing so, she must embrace her dual nature. She must turn towards herself fully, holding her grief as equally vital to her joy. For she knows, they belong to each other.

This, I feel, is the energy of the New Moon in Libra. On Tuesday Oct 21, at 8:25am EST, the luminaries conjoin in the very last degrees of Libra, in the 3rd decan. This territory corresponds to the 4 of Swords in the tarot. An image of rest, yes, but also one of intentional respite.

“Let yourself get still. Turn to face yourself fully.”

This is the message I’ve been hearing from my guides. Let the dust settle, so you may see yourself truly and honestly. Let the mind soften, so that you can drop into the waters of the heart. There is Truth, waiting for you, there. <3

The Third Decan of Libra reminds us that rest + stillness are VITAL parts of the decision making process. That if we only busy ourselves with constant action and doership, we do not actually allow for the truth of our Heart to be heard, and thus to guide us true. There are dreams, visions, and insights waiting for us in that inner sanctuary, but we must get still enough to listen.

It is challenging right now, to spend time in the heart. Overwhelming, to say the least. And, if we are only ever coasting on the surface, we have split ourselves into half-truth. We are fragmented, disembodied, cut off from the reality of BEING. The origin of truth lives in the heart. We must turn to face ourselves fully to see it. This week brings a heavy dose of slowness, along with a reality check that we can't always move at the pace we're accustomed to. Or at least, that it's not always helpful to.

Mercury stations retrograde on Monday April 1st at 27*, and will subsequently move backwards thru the entire constellation of Aries over the next 3 weeks. We are collectively hitting the rewind button on our thinking process, returning to the place we began with a (hopefully) curious heart.

With ALL of the other Aries energy already in the mix (Chiron, North Node, Sun and soon to be Moon on the eclipse), it's safe to say Mercury is bringing a real reality check to the ways we've been thinking about our life, the visions or plans that have been emerging - in an efforts to slow us down and reframe HOW we're going about those things. It's likely going to feel a bit frustrating or friction-ey, if we don't give way to the process. Temper urgency with presence + deepening curiosity.

It's not about WHAT you're doing, but HOW you're doing it. Take this time to get curious with your usual thought + movement patterns, as these next few weeks invite us to reframe them. What if we did it a different way? What if we took another path towards the same place, how would it change the outcome? The medicine is to SLOW DOWN. There's nothing to DO right now. Self-observation and repatterning our process is key.

Wow, what a humble reminder of the wisdom of the Eclipses.

The karmic portal of reality opens, revealing all of its timeless wisdom. Sense impressions from past experience, unprocessed memories, unconsious patterns — all rising to the surface to be seen, known & understood.

As I always say, to see is to free it. As we turn the light of awareness into the shadow, those patterns and hidden wisdom beneath the surface begins to be set free.

Illumination begets liberation — yet awareness alone is not enough. We must be willing to not only look, but truly see ourselves within the shadow; the way we have shaped ourselves around it, how it has formed a facet of our Self. We must be willing to acknowledge with deep compassion for our humanness, for our ability to survive life’s more challenging circumstances that have created certain coping mechanisms or patterns in us. Especially relationally, because this first eclipse is in Libra.

Relational trauma gets healed through relationship. So, if your relational space feels super sticky right now, its probably because some BIG karmic sludge is beginning to move. Give yourself and others the grace to take space, and check back in later in April. This is a time for the deep internal spelunking that allows for our more vulnerable parts to reveal themselves to us, so that we may understand and offer them healing compassion to grow from.

It can be a LOT to not only have all of our deep inner-relational sh*t come up to the surface, but THEN to also be witnessed by others. It doesn’t always serve the process to be all up in it with one another — know when to take space and give your own process some breathing room.

In the meantime, be gentle with yourselves and each other. Mercury is in the shadow of its upcoming retrograde in Aries, beginning April 1st — just in time for the second eclipse in Aries, a week later on the 8th. It’s a murky time.

Don’t try to figure it out right now. Give yourself permission to set it down, rest, and be present with yourself. Put your plans on hold. Take a moment of pause from the urgent pace of life. Offer your inner world the presence it deserves — and make space to process some of what emerges. Lean on whatever practices are most supportive for you. And be kind to one another. <3

Wheel of Samsara — life is anything but normal.

This week, we enter the shadow of eclipse season. We are in the vestibule; the space between cycles, the liminal territory where anything is possible.

When we let our minds get out of the way, we can see the true nature of this moment, and all that it holds for our soul-level process in this life. There are massive karmic implications to eclipse cycles, as they allow us to work out all of the karmic sludge we've been carrying for lifetimes, or for generations.

Give yourself permission to not have it all figured out right now. Check back in around mid-April, after the eclipses have worked their alchemical magick on you. And most importantly, make space to truly process & purge whatever arises in this time. It is bigger and older than just this moment.

THE MOON // THOTH TAROT DECK — PISCES

This week brings a time of transition, as we integrate the Pisces New Moon and begin to prepare for Eclipse Season! In this space, there is a sense of timelessness, a liminal nature that only Piscean wisdom can truly help us understand.

It is the porousness of the veil between form & formlessness, the subtle sensitivity to our more-than-human reality. If we attune ourselves to it and listen intently, we can feel all of the many ways that unseen forces are swimming through the landscape of our shared reality.

In that, there is a need to process some of the more dense energies that are moving through the field -- so that they aren't only being processed through your own individual mind & body.

Take time this week for Prayer in whatever form suits you. Hold ritual space, make offerings, connect with your more-than-human allies. This can resource us and prepare for the karmic process that the upcoming eclipses are ushering forth.

What would it look like if we took our Magick seriously? If we gave as much credit to the unseen world, as we do the seen & tangible? These ways of knowing and sensing into the more-than-human world were second-nature to our ancestors, yet we have lost this powerful ability to dream with the Earth.

This week, as Saturn and Mercury meet in the temple of the Sun at 9* of Pisces, there is the possibility for reawakening this sense of magick, that allows for imagination to re-enchant our reality. To take our visions and dreams seriously, and consider the potential of the formless coming into form through our DEVOTION to dreaming.

Stay open on February 28th to any kind of “aha” moments, visions, dreams, sacred imaginings that carry within them the potential for a long-term vision to emerge. Commit to the process of dreaming these visions into being, on a longer timeline than you can see from Earth-bound reality.

The Sabian Symbol for this Cazimi moment is “an Aviator in the Clouds”. There is always more than meets the eye. Allow yourself to drift above this earthly realm, long enough to remind yourself of the possibilities that exist in the liminal, imaginal spaces. Sometimes it can be a sacred practice to have our head in the clouds, long enough to find a dream waiting to be REALIZED. <3

“The Gaelic languages, however, still reflect this older worldview, possibly because the Gaelic-speaking regions of Ireland and Scotland were remote, rural, and not heavily influenced by the modern world until recently. 

The Irish word for “nature” is dúlra, which contains the stem dúil, meaning “element” or “created thing.” This root word is the first syllable in the Irish word for Creator: Dúileamh (pronounced “dool-yev” and always spelled with a capital D). 

What is fascinating is that Dúileamh does not contain the root word for “create.” There is another word for that. It also does not contain the word for God. Or Father. Or Almighty. Or Supreme. 

The most basic translation for Dúileamh would be something like the “Being of the Elements” or the “One Who Is in the Elements” or the “One Who Is the Elements.” Could it be that the life, consciousness, and soul of every created thing is the One Who Is in Them — the Dúileamh? Even more intriguing is another meaning for dúil. This facile Irish noun can also mean “desire,” “fondness,” “expectation,” or “hope.” 

Try thinking about all this for awhile. Several curious questions may occur to you: Who is fond of whom? What is fond of what? Who desires whom. . . or what? What or who hopes, expects, yearns . . . and for what? for whom? Caught in this web of elements, nature, and created things, the most logical explanation is that the Creator longs for creation and is fond of creation, even as creation longs for the Creator and is fond of the Creator. 

Created things long for each other and are fond of each other in some mysterious way. We are caught in a crazy web of fondness, affection, yearning, and expectation. Everything yearns for everything! If we took this seriously, we might go mad! 

An old Gaelic blessing says, “You are the pure love of the moon, you are the pure love of the stars, you are the pure love of the sun. . . and the dew. . . and the rain . . . and (finally) you are the pure love of each living creature.”9 The Scottish Highlanders bless each other with expressions like these: “The love and affection of the moon be yours, the love and affection of the sun be yours, the love and affection of the stars be yours,” and on and on, including other natural elements until: “The love and affection of each living creature be yours.” 

It strains our modern sensibilities, and triggers our calloused cynicism, to entertain the thought that we live in a loving and affectionate universe. Imagine how your life would change if you believed this.

Imagine how you would have to change your life if you believed this. The Elements. The Love and Affection of the Elements. The Pure Love of the Elements. The Being-of-the-Elements. The One-Who-Is-the-Elements. 

Once in a workshop on Celtic shamanism, we were considering these Gaelic words, and a woman in the group sighed, “Oh, I wish our culture had words like these.” Another participant quickly responded, “Wouldn’t it be great if our culture had ideas like these?”

This week brings a huge tone shift to the collective field of reality, as the axis of Virgo/Pisces gets activated with the dance of Sun & Moon. This axis turns our attention to the multidimensional nature of Healing & Service in the world.

How do you offer yourself in service to the collective human family, that actually energizes and nourishes YOU in return? Reciprocity is the nature of true service, that creates a feedback loop of mutual care; giving and receiving in the same act.

‘Service’ in the capitalist frame can insinuate giving ALL of yourself in order to be worthy of existing — without the birthright of also receiving in return. It is not selfish to receive care, it is vital. Our human capacity requires it, if we are to truly be of service in sacred reciprocity with all of life. Reframing the notion that we must give in order to be worthy of receiving is necessary to truly be resourced and serve in the world from a place of true balance.

This is where Virgo’s self-care rituals come into play; carving time out of your day to be present with yourself and connected to your own individual experience is deep medicine, and allows us to more clearly negotiate the balance we hold internally. In a way, it is our responsibility to ourselves & others to check in and understand our own needs in this way. Virgo corresponds to the Hermit tarot card, which reminds us of the necessity of alone time, to resource our capacity and truly move from a place of resource when turn towards the world.

Just make sure your self-care rituals aren’t actually just ways to disconnect / protect your personal life experience from the larger experience of humanity’s very real suffering. If you feel overwhelmed, absolutely take what you need — however, modern-age self-care mentality can very quickly serve as avoidance of turning towards the world with real care regarding the collective human family’s experience. Self-care without collective care is only half of the picture; at a certain point, it becomes self-interested and self-serving, only. No one is free until we are ALL free. If your self-care rituals act as total distraction mechanisms from this truth, you’re missing the point. Know when to pull back, and when to continue onwards, turning towards the truth of our SHARED reality.

Saturn will be closely opposite this Full Moon, which asks us to still identify our boundaries within the larger pool of human experience. Noticing where our heart feels open to the world, and where it feels closed. Negotiating where & when its right for this balance to pulse. Making sure we don’t cut ourselves off from the larger web of humanity completely — yet also not getting exhausted from being too immersed in collective suffering that we can’t tell where our own experience ends, and the rest of the world begins. Boundaries are necessary, yet in excess, they isolate us from the larger web of collective belonging.

If you are feeling depleted by the weight of the world’s suffering, take some time to Hermit and resource yourself. Part of our responsibility as members of the human family is that we also take care of ourselves, just as we show up in service to healing others. Small acts of kindness go a LONG way — healing takes so many forms, radical and simple.

Happy New Moon in Capricorn!! I wanted to offer a little gift for you all to take into deeper practice with this Lunation, that comes from the Ancestral Lineage Healing work that I hold with folks in 1:1 space!

This is the predecessor step to the larger Ancestral Healing work. It is a simple assessment of the 4 blood lineages, without necessarily seeking to establish connection yet. For ritual safety reasons, its best to maneuver that deeper connection work in the presence of a practitioner, as sometimes the waters are more muddy than you expected. Or, things might be really quite well & wonderful, which you might find from this assessment practice!

My suggestion is to move through this initial practice of the assessment as leaned-back as possible, not seeking to necessarily engage and wake up all of the history along each bloodline, yet to simply WITNESS what is there.

Make note of what you find in regards to the state of being for each of your lineages, and if it feels like you’d like to dive deeper into connection with a specific bloodline, do so in protected ritual space, or with the help of a practitioner!

Friends! This week, in honor of Ancestor Szn, I wanted to share an episode that focused more heavily on connecting with the beloved dead. More specifically, I wanted to share some insights on how to do so with ritual safety in mind, as well as potential pitfalls, complexities, and needs for discernment when connecting with Ancestors in general.

This teaching is NOT a criticism by any means. But, as someone who’s been a practitioner of Ancestral Lineage Healing work for many years, it feels like there’s a responsibility to share the nuances involved in this work. Ancestors have become a HOT TOPIC in new age spirituality, and there’s a lot of romanticization I’ve been noticing on the interwebs. The danger here is that we don’t also acknowledge the very real dimensions of Ancestor work that are messy, complicated, and not super ritually safe.

PLEASE NOTE: this episode is truly JUST an introduction to the very complicated territory of Ancestral connection + healing work. It is by NO MEANS a complete road map of the territory. Please do not take this teaching as a ‘how to’ and apply it to your own work. I say this because I have learned the hard way MANY times over the years, of how this work can very easily go wrong, and cause real harm. That’s part of the reason I’m sharing this episode!

This New Moon in Sagittarius is like the Great Hawk Spirit, soaring just high enough to see the horizon line. What does the Dawn bring? What Song of Self will you sing?

In a way, this Lunation DEMANDS that we stop playing small, and move towards embodying a more authentic expression of Self. Because the world NEEDS us to live more unapologetically into our Truth. We all rise together.

Who are you NOW, in this moment? Give acknowledgment to every past version of yourself, that has contributed to the embodied wisdom that you know carry. The week leading up to the full moon in Gemini packs a powerful punch. A reminder to check in with our own capacity, before blazing full speed ahead. Saturn meets us at the doorway between Scorpio & Sag season, reminding us to move slowly and intentionally. Balance this fiery spirit with watery tenderness & deep presence.

There is wisdom in checking with our body’s capacity to bring forth the visions and desires we have into the world. We are constantly negotiating between spirit & soma. The force of drive & inspiration is strong — just make sure you give your body enough time to catch up with the process. Slowness is good medicine.

The full moon itself brings a beautiful moment of breakthroughs and inspiration. Pay attention to what is coming up this weekend; it is a powerful hint along the trail of your becoming. A divine bread crumb! Follow the trail throughout Sag season — there is more to come. Move slowly & intentionally; remember it doesn’t all have to happen at once!

Scorpio Season has been nothing short of intense, and we enter Sag season with quite a bang. This moment asks us to cut away the excess, to manage intensity and hone this power with precision — for the good of all.

The full moon in Aries this week brings deep relational truths. How we navigate the space between self + other. It is the work of lifetimes, generations of relational repair. The shadow of Libra + Aries runs DEEP in our collective psyche, burrowed by punitive justice systems and religious dogma of ‘good vs bad’.'

Friends, here we are. The final week of Eclipse season, thus the final week of Virgo season. There is a LOT of astrology moving through this week, culminating to the big Solar Eclipse in Virgo, the day before the Equinox. It is, INDEED, a threshold.

A mythological peek at the week ahead;

The Winged One receives a word from the wise, a nod from Father Time in the spirit of creating clarity. It is a sword to cut through the fog. Hermes crosses the threshold, carried by a gust of Wind, catching messages from Underworld stirrings + Skyborn insights. Truth is Truth. As above, so below; as within, so without. We must use our tools to see clearly; Mirror + Sword.

The Goddess departs Her solar throne and enters the Witch’s cavern, bringing medicine through the process of distillation. Tears of a Maiden, Beating of the Heart; transforming raw feeling into insight. Something clarifies and the fog begins to clear; the spell is broken. The Full Moon / Total Lunar Eclipse that kicks off this week is ALSO the initiator of one of my favorite ritual observances in the Vedic Calendar; Pitru Paksha, the Fortnight of the Ancestors.

Every year during the month of September, the Full Moon initiates the observance of Pitru Paksha; the ancestral fortnight. This specifically follows the WANING phase of the moon, from fullness dissolving into its New Moon state (on Sept 21st)

Hello beloveds, how are you doing out there? This week is a BIG one, so much shifting + churning in these primordial waters. Eclipse season hath arrived, and with it, many celestial elders making moves in the skies. A changing of the guard, ushering a threshold to be crossed.

On Monday, Saturn regresses backwards into Pisces, signaling a cycle returning. Time folds in on itself, Past + Future becoming one in the chrysalis. Make note of what was up for you in March + April of this year, during our last eclipse season, at a time when Saturn was passing the very last degrees of Pisces where He is now returning. A full-circle moment, an opportunity for closure. Loose threads being tied, slowly, one by one. Notice your relationship to time, liminality, and focusing creative energy.

On Tuesday, Mercury ENTERS their exaltation in Virgo. This is the scythe, the tip of the sword, with exacting poignancy. This is resource amidst the murky storm ahead. This is the wisdom of the Hermit, carrying a glowing lantern into the fog-filled night. Focus your attention. Reduce distractions as much as possible. Make space to LISTEN deeply, to the quiet whispers of wisdom from within. The Ancestors lean in closer, offering guidance in dreams and waking. The more time + attention you can give to stillness, the better you will be able to HEAR THEM. Become still like a pond. Let your mind unclench like a fist, opening softly.

And then, NEXT Sunday, Sept 7th is our first official Eclipse of the season. It is exact, the sun + moon opposing one another, the Earth in between them, eclipsing the MOON. A dark red shadow cast across the face of our beloved Grandmother; The One Who Sees into the Night Realm. This is illumination from within, the kind of confronting truth that Liberates.

The Moon will be in Pisces, with the Eclipse peaking at 2:08pm Eastern Time on Sunday, Sept 7th. Make time for spaciousness here, if you can; for deep listening. Let yourself get still. The inner-sight comes from within. There is the possibility that things will feel very strange, the Web of Wyrd weaving past + future as one. The present moment holds all potential realities. USE DISCERNMENT. It is likely to feel a bit foggy, uncertain, unclear. Let the storm pass and do not try to figure out which way is UP right now. Turn your gaze within. Light a candle, some incense, and listen.

Eclipses are NOT the time for manifestation, spells, or requests. There is Heyoka medicine here; the upside-down, the not-quite-sound. Center yourself in the Spine + zip up the Subtle Body. Enclose your energy as much as possible. Use discernment with anything that enters your space; get curious as to what you cannot see fully. Clarity will come in time; this is not a moment for answers. Hold the questions lightly.

Hello beloveds. Wowee. Here we are. The Home Stretch. This moment is the center of the infinity loop, where past cycles converge with future dreams. Can you feel the friction? It will be creating fire soon enough, and once it starts, change will come swift + true. You are more ready than you know.

This week, Mars + Saturn challenge us to confront our desires + perceived limitations. Structural Oppression lives in each of our bodies in unique ways. Neptune softens the edges by reminding us that we are not alone against the world in all of this; there are greater forces participating, if we open ourselves to their heartening collaboration. Do not underestimate their quiet wisdom.

My friends! How are we faring out there? Are ya winnin’, son? In all sincerity, I hope you are feeling well + held by something sustaining, in the wake of that Virgo New Moon. The precision of Virgo’s blade came true + deep once again, revealing the center what needed to be made visible in order to move more intentionally. I am very grateful for the humbling truths that emerged under cover of the Dark Moon’s care.

This week brings a different type of energy, one that will likely bring focus to our own Heart in a big, passionate, expressive way. Venus enters Leo on Monday, and proceeds to aspect EVERY major planet that is currently sitting at the first degree of their respective signs. Here’s the lineup;

The New Moon in Virgo, occurring at the wee morning hour of 2:06am EST on Saturday August 23rd, presents an opportunity to ask our people directly.

The Sun + Moon step across this threshold together, merged at 0* of Virgo. This lunation will be conjunct the Fixed Star Regulus, the Heart of the Lion. It is a sign of courage (coeur-age), quite literally — often associated with noble leaders or those that guide from the righteousness of Love. (Given their egos do not become conflated, and their pride leads them towards revenge. This is the weak spot of any great ruler).

Regulus denotes the start of the Lunar Mansion Magha in the Vedic System. The symbol of this Nakshatra (Lunar Mansion) is a royal throne or palanquin of the Ancestors. Major astrological signatures in this Nakshatra allow for direct connection with the Ancestors, and signal an opening to receive the blessings of our most venerated forebears, and perhaps their support for these times.

I say it again ~ the powers of this celestial place are real. Think of it as a doorway to the Ancestral realm (it literally is from a Vedic perspective.) I did not consciously choose the path of Ancestor work, they asked me to directly. I would not be here if it was not for their guidance. Magha Nakshatra is a temple of communion with your people. Go there. They are waiting, I promise you.

Sweet ones, we have a MIGHTY week ahead of us. On all levels, the Astrology at hand is meant to support us in retrieving power from the hands that seek to make us feel powerless, as a function of Empire. We’re so back, baby.

And, getting there can feel like a thunder-clap. We are in the thick of SO much density right now, I’m sure not only at collective levels but also reflected within. There are truly two questions that part the sea of the moment, and it rests in the difference between “There’s nothing I can do” and “What CAN I do?”

The play-by-play; Mars enters LIBRA on Wednesday, the sign of its Detriment. The warrior is in exile, convinced of their own powerlessness in the face of overwhelm. The invitation; remember who you are. Remember all the ways you resource yourself, in conflict + beyond.

A feeling of powerlessness leads us to believe we no longer have CHOICE. This is the retrieval of power as a means of re-membering sovereignty, agency, and personal choice. Keep going.

Within the days following Mars’ ingress into Libra, the warrior will make an immediate Trine to the newly initiated Uranus in Gemini. This is windy, unpredictable energy. Velocity may intensify on whatever change is here. Hold onto ya butts.

Then, Mars makes an opposition to the very retrograde, fallen Saturn in Aries. I don’t love the look of this; two Malefics in territories that they have a hard time navigating. It feels potentially reactive, brute, and inflammatory. Beware of excess Fire element, within + without. We might see this at collective and/or personal levels. Remember; immaturity and reactivity are opportunities for growth. Do what you need to hold fast to your values + regulate your nervous system. This too shall pass.

The weekend brings a BIG, powerful Full Moon in Aquarius, to remind us of what the f*ck we’re really doing here. Aquarius moon will die on the cross of humanity, a rebel with a cause. So may we remember the point of this disruption, and not get pulled into the flash of drama. Ground into your role in the great web of relations and claim your place in the family of things, as mary oliver says.

the full moon will be making aspects to BOTH Antares and Acumen, the heart + stinger of the scorpion. This lunation has an undercurrent of extreme martial energy, which comes as no surprise with the newly ingressed mars in libra. It will also be making a T-square to Lilith + Vesta in Scorpio, and sextile to Ceres in Aries. The goddess asteroids are assembled in all Mars-ruled signs, family. This is RAGE as a sacred agitator. Let yourself go there.

I go by Dré (they/them siad/iad) and live on the ancestral lands of the Patwin, Miwok, and Nisenan tribes in "California". I am a racialized white, queer and trans, neurodivergent, person with chronic illnesses. Outside ceremony work, I am a social worker, and live with my wonderful wife and two perfect cats.

In 2020, An Mórrigan introduced Herself to me as "Mór" in Her she-wolf form while I was in the midst of graduate school, my Saturn return, and the COVID-pandemic. I responded to Her call, took up Irish Paganism, and have been devoted to Herself and Her sisters ever since.

I am an active current student at the Irish Pagan School, am a graduate of The Mórrigan Intensive through The Mórrigan Academy 2023, and am currently in a 1:1 Ogham mentorship. During the Mórrigan Intensive, A Bad asked me to be Her oracle and An Mórrigan asked me to get involved in public Pagan spaces.

After a year of internal work and much resistance, while feeling Her talons gripping me ever harder, I pushed myself to start doing oracular divination for others and started an Irish pagan social and ceremony group, Gort Na Mórrigna, in 2025.

Medium: an individual held to be a channel of communication between the earthly world and a world of spirits

I am honored and blessed to be able to interact with others' ancestors and be able to share messages to their living descendant in ceremony. Ceremony is one of the most incredible experiences I have gotten to have in this life, and I do not take any interactions for granted. Your trust in me is deeply respected and cherished.

Divining with the Ogham is both the experience of being a channel for the spirit of each fid (letter), as well as simply being a fly on the wall as I get to hear elders speak amongst themselves in conversation.

WOW y’all, it’s been quite a Summer. Looking at the Astrology for this week, this one is no exception. We enter LEO season and kick it off with a BIG, bold New Moon (very on brand if I say so myself). The Astrology of the week is in many ways THE HEART OF SUMMER. (Leo reference to the heart included…)

Looking at the Fixed Star aspects this Lunation is making across the skies, one stood out to me in particular. Swimming underneath the surface of our very Solar world, glimmering lights and illusions of materiality ~ is the Great Sea monster, Cetus. The star in the nose of the beast, Menkar, will be making an aspect to this New Moon from underneath the Earth as Luna rises that day.

This felt SO significant to me, as I was already getting the sense that not everything is as it seems with this lunation in particular. Leo energy can be very Solar, very visible, very focused on what we can see + know with our OUTER eyes. But I had the distinct sense when looking at the full scope of the sky, this New Moon also asks us to sense + see with our INNER-sight.

As Above, so below. As within, so without.

There is a mirroring available here. A kind of visibility that extends into the Great Below, the unseen realms usually hidden from view. The Luminaries (Sun + Moon) will be sitting together in the part of the sky ruled by this Solar light AT HIGH NOON, yet directly opposite the sky sits the Lord of the Underworld, Hades. From the Great Below, something speaks of Truth unseen. We must listen deeply to know what it means.

The New Moon at 2* of Leo will also make exact aspects to the newly ingressed Uranus in Gemini, plus Saturn + Neptune in Aries. It’s a whole Air + Fire power play.

My suggestion; take time on Thursday to REST, LISTEN, OBSERVE. Make space in your inner world for whatever illumination wants to occur. Listen intently to your own inner-sight. Pull tarot cards, attune your senses to the unseen undercurrents that are moving through here.

The Culmination of this Lunar Cycle will return on IMBOLC 2026, at the beginning of February. THAT holds significance IMO, as a ritual time traditionally associated with being impregnated with creative life force. Something is BURGEONING within, and the seed is being planted right now. This will likely play a pivotal role in the 2026 astrology overall. Pay attention to what comes up this week, and on the LEO CAZIMI next week. Breadcrumbs on the trail.

Hi friends ~ I don’t have much to share this week by way of written words. Feeling tired and taking time to do the necessary work of adjusting to the changing container of the moment. Slowing down as much as I can, creating space for presence + capacity for kindness.

Mercury stations Retrograde on Thursday this week, bringing us into a 3 week reflection process on the stories that shape our identity. Everything is changing, if you can’t tell. As within, so without. This transit comes at a timely moment to check-in with what is most ESSENTIAL within ourselves, and shed the excess stories that are no longer helpful.

I’m truly sick of self-promo when there’s so much else going on, so this is the LAST CALL for joining the upcoming cohort of LIVE GROUP ASTROLOGY MENTORSHIP!
