It's part two of our chat with Grammy Nominated musician and airhead enthusiast Hans Christian. When we last were together our conversation was rudely interrupted by poor phone service from our local telco—Yelcot. Alas, we were able to re-establish a phone connection a few days later and we’ll pick up the chat and get into some good airhead conversation, as promised. On tap we'll visit with Hans about refreshing his R50/5 and we’ll get some tips from him on relining the tank, touching up the frame and repairing the seat hinge on the frame among other topics. His motorcycle career started in earnest in the early 70’s as a mechanic at BMW of Denver, followed by a long successful tenure at San Jose BMW. Chris helped lead the San Jose BMW race team to numerous victories, establishing BMW and the 247 platform as more than a humble touring machine. He later launched CC products and became a leader in aftermarket parts and development for BMW and other brands. Chris eventually came full circle and purchased San Jose BMW, which is still a family run dealership today.
