212: 10 Money Ironies that will completely change how you see and spend your money
mardi 28 octobre 2025 • Durée 41:32
You've been told that more money means more freedom, that success brings security, and that buying what you want will make you feel better.
But what if everything you believed about money... is wrong?
In this episode, Paige peels back the curtain on 10 deeply ironic truths about money — moments where what we expect from spending, saving, or earning completely contradicts what we actually experience. These aren't abstract theories; they're the hidden emotional patterns that can quietly sabotage even the smartest, most successful women.
From why your daily latte might be dulling your joy to why earning more could be making you feel less safe — this episode is a must-listen if you've ever found yourself confused, disappointed, or thinking, "Why doesn't this feel as good as it should?"
Whether you're just starting to shift your money story or you've already hit your biggest goals, this episode offers a mirror, a mindset shift, and a moment of relief. Because it's not just about what you have — it's about how you experience what you have.

Grief doesn't just show up as sadness—it shows up in your focus, your energy, your relationships… and your bank account.
In this deeply compassionate episode, I'm joined by grief counselor Edie Alvarez to explore the intersection of loss and spending—and how unprocessed grief can quietly shape your financial decisions in ways you may not even realize.

-
Edie's favorite tools to interrupt emotional overspending when you're grieving

114: Feel Harder, Suffer Less
mardi 12 septembre 2023 • Durée 40:06
Are you feeling? Or are you suffering? Most of us think that we are feeling our feelings, when in fact we are resisting our feelings which creates uncessary suffering for ourselves. When we lack the ability and the willingness to feel our emotions, we end up just creating more of it for ourselves. But what if your feelings weren't something to run away from, but rather something to run towards? What if they weren't an inconvenience, but rather a superpower? What if they weren't a hindrence, but rather the ticket to getting everything you've ever wanted? The harder we feel, the less we suffer.
In this week's episode of The Money Love Podcast we are diving into one of my favorite topics, emotions. We're talking about the difference between feeling and suffering, why we create unnecessary suffering for ourselves, how to stop doing that, and how to shift our mindset around our emotions so that they are something that we begin to embrace rather than avoid. This will no doubt be an episode that will challenge you and have you thinking about your feelings in an entirely new light. Enjoy!
Questions from episode:
- Am I feeling or am I suffering?
- What emotion am I not feeling and what other emotions is that avoidance creating?
- How am I creating unnecessary suffering in my life right now?
- Do I want to sit with the truth of my life right now, or do I want to escape my life?
- What's the one emotion I most fear and how would my life look drastically different if I ran towards that emotion and created it on purpose?

113: Girl Math
jeudi 7 septembre 2023 • Durée 34:01
In this week's episode we are breaking down the latest viral social media trend... girl math. I'll be sharing my thoughts on the trend and why although it's a cheeky concept, it can actually be quite damaging to our self concept, relationship with money, and spending habits.
I'll also be offering my best tips and tricks to combat our brains tendency towards this mental gymnastics so that you stop justifying purchases that you know aren't in your long-term well being. Enjoy!

Questions to Ask before a purchase:
- Have I planned this ahead of time?
- Do I have the money for it?
- Am I trying to cope, or buy something that can't be bought?
- Am I winning on the value exchange? Am I going to get more value out of this than what I'm going to pay for it?
- Is my future self going to be glad I made this purchase?
- Am I evaluating (is no even a possible outcome)? Or am I just trying to justify a spending choice I know isn't in my best interest?

110: The Arrival Fallacy
mercredi 21 juin 2023 • Durée 47:47
Do you struggle to enjoy the journey? Are you telling yourself that you can't feel safe and secure until your debt is paid off? Do you believe that you will finally have financial status when you're making six figures? Are you someone who is delegating your happiness and purpose to the achievement of a future goal or until the acquisition of a certain item? If so, you could be falling victim to the arrival fallacy, which is the false assumption that once we reach a goal or milestone we will experience lasting happiness and fulfillment.
In this week's episode of The Money Love Podcast, we are diving deep into the arrival fallacy. We are breaking down what it is, how it rears its ugly head within our finances, why our human brains fall victim to it, and also Paige will be sharing her five best tips to help you enjoy the journey, rather than being focused on the destination. I can guarantee this is something that you've done in the past (or are even doing now with a current goal) and this episode will be a needed reminder that happiness is available to you now. Enjoy!

109: Being Committed to Confusion
mercredi 14 juin 2023 • Durée 41:19
Do you struggle to make decisions? To you find yourself feeling confused a lot? If so, you could be commited to confusion. Many of us indulge and stay stuck in confusion, becuase confusion feels safer than forward progress. When we are confused we don't have to make hard decisions, we don't have to learn new things, we don't have to be a beginner, and we don't have to risk anything. While it seems noble and valid to be commited to confusion, it's not serving you in life or with your finances.
In this week's episode of The Money Love Podcast we are breaking down the emotion of confusion. Paige will share with you why confusion is an indulgent emotion, why we become so commited to confusion, and her 5 best steps for getting yourself out of confusion for good. This episode will be one that will encourage you to break free from confusion and start moving forward to the results you want most. Enjoy!

108: A Letter From Me To Me
lundi 5 juin 2023 • Durée 37:37
Do you struggle to do what you say you're going to do? Are you constantly making grand plans and setting ambitious goals only to then find yourself struggling to nail the day-to-day actions required to make those goals a reality? If this sounds like you, then I am excited to share with you one of my favorite tools for remaining in integrity with yourself, which is a letter from you... to you. This is a letter that is written from "pre-frontal" you to "lizard brain" you and it's one of the most effective tools I've found for keeping myself focused and on track toward accomplishing my truest desires.
By the end of this episode of The Money Love Podcast, you will have all the details you need to create a letter yourself. I'll be sharing what this tool is, when to use it, why it's so effective, what to include in your letter and I'll also be wrapping up the episode by reading an example of a letter (that you can borrow). Enjoy!
