Jessica Elizabeth Davenport - Strictly Elizabeth + Terminal 9
Saison 18 · Épisode 15
vendredi 20 juin 2025 • Durée 01:07:13
THE JEREMIAH SHOW FEATURING Jessica Elizabeth Davenport
My special guest today is Artist-Architect Jessica Elizabeth Davenport, Founder & Creative Director of Terminal 9 and the visionary creator of the music project Strictly Elizabeth.
Jessica’s practice resides at the intersection of genres and mediums, blending punk and pop, experimental film and architectural imagination, and autobiographical depth with mythic scale.
Building Worlds at the Intersection of Music, Film & Architecture
Strictly Elizabeth is the multidisciplinary world of Jessica Elizabeth
Davenport.
Terminal 9, a sonic-visual universe that merges music, memory, and design into emotionally charged acts of transformation.
Rooted in personal reinvention, Jessica’s work is shaped by profound contrasts: she was born into a cult, raised by working-class immigrants, and tragically widowed at the age of 35.
These collisions of identity, grief, place, and purpose have formed the emotional core of her work. After relocating to California, she found a creative renaissance in the West Coast's light, landscape, and psychic space—an influence that permeates the poetic futurism of Terminal 9.
The full 3-volume Terminal soundtrack is out for digital streaming on August 21st. Every Thursday leading up to the full album release, a single will be released, introducing a different incarnation of Strictly Elizabeth.
This Thursday, June 19th, you’ll be introduced to the Rap Crew and the song “Princess Palace”.
You can check out the music video on YouTube. Be sure to sign up for the Strictly Elizabeth newsletter for more information about performances, screenings, and pop-up events featuring Comic Songbooks, available exclusively at the merch table at the show.

THE JEREMIAH SHOW Featuring Anaïs Reno, The Lady of The Lavender Mist
It started on a train in the rain...
When vocalist Anaïs Reno burst on the scene in 2021 with her debut album, Lovesome Thing: Anais Reno Sings Ellington & Strayhorn, delighted listeners were surprised to learn that she had recorded it a year earlier when she was just 16 years old – undoubtedly, because very few people her age have the vocal chops, musical maturity, and ability to interpret song lyrics with such emotional depth!
Talkin’ Broadway said, “With her grace, gravitas, serenity, and prodigious skills, one can proclaim that the work of Anaïs is impressive without any added qualifier/caveat like ‘for someone her age.’”
Now, four years after releasing her debut recording, she has once again tackled the Great American Songbook with her newest album, LADY OF THE LAVENDER MIST, a collection of widely known love songs (with a couple of surprises).
A native of New York City, Reno is joined by a rhythm section of heavy-hitting East Coast players, including guitarist PETER BERNSTEIN, bass player DAVID WONG, and drummer JOE FARNSWORTH. She is also joined on one tune by a special guest, her mother, the classical violinist JULIET KURTZMAN, who co-produced the album with Reno.
New album out now:
“Lady of the Lavender Mist,” featuring Peter Bernstein available on Club 44 Records

A New York-based chef, instructor, and recipe developer, Nini Nguyen was a frontrunner on Top Chef Season 16 in Kentucky.
Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Nini combines her Vietnamese heritage and NOLA flair into a unique cooking style. Early in her career, she started as a pastry cook at restaurants like Coquette & Eleven Madison Park. She later moved into savory cooking with the touring pop-up, Dinner Lab.
She also has a knack for teaching and mentoring other cooks. She expressed this passion by working at Cook Space, a recreational cooking school in Brooklyn, where she developed the culinary program.
As a naturally curious person, Nini’s favorite pastime is roaming through markets in different cities, tasting, smelling, and squeezing all the fruits and vegetables she can get her hands on. Since appearing on Top Chef, Nini has kept herself busy collaborating with chefs, hosting private events, and starting a pop-up dinner series.
Her first book Đặc Biệt: An Extra-Special Vietnamese Cookbook, was released in August 2024 under Knopf. In 2024, Nguyen won the debut season of Last Bite Hotel on Food Network.
For Lia, Who Wanted To Fly - Story By Cameron Walker, Music By Djauthentic
Saison 18 · Épisode 11
samedi 24 mai 2025 • Durée 01:27:46
THE JEREMIAH SHOW Featuring the short story by Cameron Walker:
"For Lia, Who Wanted To Fly" with accompanying music soundtrack by Djauthentic, also known as Dylan Johnson.
In a dozen luminous stories, award-winning author Cameron Walker brings readers to the water's edge, where the known world collides with magic and with the mysterious depths of the human heart. ...Here, a pandemic turns children into sea creatures, a baker kneads unusual pie crusts during a California mudslide, and a young man sets off to see the world in a flying coat. Lyrical and dreamlike, How to Capture Carbon navigates the complexities of a changing climate and the transformative power of loss — and of love.
The accompanying soundtrack to the stylized story is from visionary musical artist Dylan Johnson, also known as Djauthentic.
Dj explains:
"My music in the show today tells a story about being locked in the dark for so long and slowly trying to come forward to find the light. It was always there, but I was too blinded to see it. It’s about losing a lot of things and still looking forward. Accepting mistakes, understanding I’m human, and remembering that knowledge is power, and once you collect more keys in your journey, they will unlock your ultimate superpower. Always treat people with kindness: I haven’t, and it’s killed me. Going with the flow will save your life. That’s where you hold all control. I hope you enjoy my new music. "
Djauthentic's tracks include:
When I Was Young, All On My Own, Mi Madre, Losing My Mind, Take Me Home, and Miss You Featuring BSCOG
