Radulich in Broadcasting has a great reputation for providing tremendous podcast content in the Entertainment world. Now, they bring their myriad of shows to the W2M Network. Prepare for great things from Movie and Metal Music Reviews to Comic Book talk and more.

Mark Radulich has been an internet personality since 2004 with his Progressive Conservatism blog. He then took that blog to the airwaves and created a podcast for it. It then changed to PC Live. After that, he brought out the 411mania Ground and Pound Radio as well.

Finally, Mark would partner up with another 411mania alum, Sean Comer, to create the movie franchise review podcast Long Road to Ruin and then Robert Cooper to create the metal album review podcast, The Metal Hammer of Doom. Robert Winfree took over the MMA show and then added his own podcast, Everybody Loves a Bad Guy. That’s when the Radulich in Broadcasting Network was born. Joining Winfree in having their own podcasts were super fan’s Jesse Starcher (Source Material) and Jayson Teasley (From the Cheap Seats). The RIB has also partnered with The Casual Heroes for wrestling shows and the occasional movie related podcast. Finally Winfree and Radulich added a weekly movie review show to the ever growing lists of podcasts on the Network.

Don't forget to give that Radulich in Broadcasting Network Facebook page a like to stay up on top of all the great podcasts that they have to offer. You can find them at your convenience on blogtalkradio.com, Stitcher, TuneIn Radio, or iTunes! Just search "radulich" to subscribe to the network

Comic Stripped: Hercules - The Thracian Wars/Hercules (2014)

samedi 19 juillet 2025Durée 01:14:30

We present our comparison of Hercules: The Thracian Wars to Hercules the 2014 movie starring Dwayne Johnson!

Hercules is a Radical Comics character who has appeared in two limited series, The Thracian Wars and The Knives of Kush, both written by Steve Moore with Cris Bolsin as the artist. The Jim Steranko "Hercules" from the cover of the first issue is also featured in solid bronze as the first in the Radical Toyz product line. Radical Toyz commissioned sculptor Chris Ingram to bring to life the art that represents Radical's flagship title.

The story takes place in barbarian Thrace, in Northern Greece. Hercules and his companions are hired by the Thracian king, Cotys, to train the Thracian army into one that excels in ruthlessness.

Hercules is a 2014 American action-adventure fantasy film directed by Brett Ratner from a screenplay by Ryan J. Condal and Evan Spiliotopoulos. It stars Dwayne Johnson as Hercules, a self-proclaimed demigod who is hired to lead the armies of Thrace into battle against a warlord. Ian McShane, Rebecca Ferguson, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan, and John Hurt also star. The film is based on Steve Moore's graphic novel Hercules, specifically the limited series The Thracian Wars.

Hercules was released by Paramount Pictures on July 25, 2014.It was one of two Hollywood-studio Hercules films released in 2014, the other being Lionsgate's The Legend of Hercules. The film became a box office success, earning $244 million on a $100 million budget, and received mixed reviews from critics, with some praise for Johnson's performance and the action sequences, though the screenplay and plot received criticism.

Damn You Hollywood: Mufasa - The Lion King (2024)

mardi 31 décembre 2024Durée 02:04:33

Robert Winfree and Mark Radulich present their Mufasa The Lion King 2024 Movie Review!

Mufasa: The Lion King is a 2024 American musical drama film directed by Barry Jenkins from a screenplay written by Jeff Nathanson. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures, the film is photorealistically animated and serves as both a prequel and sequel to The Lion King (2019), the remake of the 1994 animated film of the same name. Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Donald Glover, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, and John Kani reprise their roles from the remake; new cast members include Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Tiffany Boone, Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiwe Newton, Lennie James, Anika Noni Rose, and Blue Ivy Carter in her feature film debut.

Development on a prequel to The Lion King was confirmed in September 2020, with Jenkins attached to direct and Nathanson finishing a draft of the script. Pierre and Harrison were announced as the voice cast in August 2021, followed by further casting between September 2022 and April 2024. The film was officially announced when its official title was revealed in September 2022 at the 2022 D23 Expo announcement. Production on the film slowed down in July 2023 due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. The film is dedicated to James Earl Jones, who voiced Mufasa in the 1994 film and the remake, died before the film's release, and whose voice is heard briefly during the opening titles.

Mufasa: The Lion King premiered on December 9, 2024, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and was released in the United States by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on December 20, 2024. The film received mixed reviews from critics and has grossed $328 million.

TV Party Tonight: Heels (Season 2)

vendredi 27 décembre 2024Durée 01:28:14

Jesse Starcher and Mark Radulich present their Heels Season 2 TV Show Review! Heels is an American drama television series about professional wrestling created by Michael Waldron that premiered on August 15, 2021, on Starz. In November 2021, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on July 28, 2023. In September 2023, the series was cancelled after two seasons.

Season 2 of Heels, the Starz wrestling drama series, continued to explore the complex world of professional wrestling while expanding on its behind-the-scenes production challenges, casting changes, and eventual cancellation. While the season delved deeper into the themes of family dynamics, loyalty, and the blurred lines between real-life identities and wrestling personas, its production history offered equally compelling narratives.

Heels Season 2 faced significant hurdles during its production, largely due to delays stemming from the pandemic. Originally greenlit shortly after the first season’s modestly successful run, production faced multiple setbacks before finally resuming in early 2022. Filming took place in Atlanta, Georgia, the same location used for the fictional town of Duffy. The production leaned heavily on authenticity, working closely with wrestling consultants and choreographers to ensure that the in-ring action remained realistic and compelling. Several scenes were shot in real wrestling venues, adding to the gritty, small-town wrestling atmosphere the show is known for.

The show’s creators, including Michael Waldron (Loki, Rick and Morty), continued to emphasize authenticity in their portrayal of the indie wrestling scene. The writing team focused on balancing the physicality of wrestling with the deeply emotional struggles of the characters, drawing parallels between the scripted nature of wrestling and the real-life performances people put on to navigate their personal lives. Season 2 also aimed to tackle broader themes like the commercialization of wrestling and the sacrifices required to achieve success, both in and out of the ring.

Heels Season 2 premiered on Starz on July 28, 2023, with episodes released weekly. This traditional release schedule aimed to build anticipation and engagement, but some fans lamented the lack of a binge-watch option, which had proven successful for other streaming platforms. Despite the weekly schedule, viewership numbers struggled to meet expectations, a factor that likely contributed to the show’s eventual cancellation.

While Heels may not have had the longevity fans hoped for, its second season cemented its reputation as a heartfelt and authentic exploration of the wrestling world. The show’s commitment to telling emotionally resonant stories, paired with its dedication to accurately depicting indie wrestling, earned it a loyal fanbase and critical praise. For many, Heels stands as a testament to the power of niche storytelling and the enduring appeal of stories that spotlight the underdog spirit. Even in cancellation, Heels remains a meaningful piece of television, offering a rare glimpse into a world that is often overlooked by mainstream media. The series’ exploration of themes like family, identity, and ambition resonates far beyond the wrestling ring, leaving an impact that fans will carry with them long after the final bell has rung.

The Merry Gentlemen (2024) Alternative Commentary

mardi 24 décembre 2024Durée 01:27:36

Jonas Radulich, Lilly Radulich and Mark Radulich provide The Merry Gentlemen 2024 Alternative Commentary.

The Merry Gentlemen is a 2024 American Christmas romantic comedy film directed by Peter Sullivan, and starring Britt Robertson and Chad Michael Murray. The film follows a Broadway dancer who stages an all-male, Christmas-themed revue in hopes of saving her parents' small-town performing venue. It was released on Netflix on November 20, 2024.

Mark Radulich is joined by his two kids, Jonas (10 years old) and Lily (13 years old), for a special family commentary track on The Merry Gentlemen (Netflix, 2024). In this heartfelt and insightful episode, the Radulich family sits down together to discuss the film's themes, performances, and overall impact, blending humor, personal anecdotes, and unique perspectives. The movie, a contemplative holiday drama that explores themes of redemption and second chances, resonates differently with each member of the family, creating a rich tapestry of commentary.

Jonas, with his boundless curiosity and sharp observations, focuses on the film's characters and their actions. He asks thoughtful questions about why certain characters made specific choices, sparking discussions about morality and forgiveness. His youthful perspective brings a fresh lens to the story, allowing Mark and Lily to reflect on the film in ways they might not have considered. For example, Jonas is particularly drawn to the character of Frank, a reclusive hitman seeking redemption, and he notes how the character's transformation parallels classic stories he's read in school. His enthusiasm for drawing comparisons to tales like A Christmas Carol and The Grinch adds a layer of charm to the commentary.

Lily, on the other hand, offers a more introspective and emotionally nuanced analysis. As a teenager navigating her own coming-of-age journey, she connects deeply with the film's exploration of personal growth and self-discovery. She shares her thoughts on the protagonist’s struggle with inner demons and how the relationships in the movie mirror real-life complexities. Lily’s comments often steer the conversation toward more profound topics, such as mental health and the importance of reaching out for help. Her insights demonstrate a maturity beyond her years, and she even challenges her dad’s interpretations at times, leading to lively, good-natured debates that showcase the family’s close bond.

Mark, as the seasoned podcaster and film enthusiast, anchors the discussion with his vast knowledge of cinema and storytelling. He provides context about the movie’s production, the director’s vision, and how The Merry Gentlemen fits into the larger landscape of holiday films. Mark’s passion for movies is evident as he shares behind-the-scenes trivia and fun facts, keeping the tone light and engaging. At the same time, he ensures that Jonas and Lily’s voices remain central to the conversation, creating an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere. Mark’s ability to balance his role as both a father and a host shines throughout the track, as he deftly guides the discussion while allowing his kids to take the spotlight.

The commentary track is peppered with moments of laughter and warmth, as the trio’s dynamic makes for an entertaining and heartfelt experience. Jonas’s youthful energy, Lily’s reflective insights, and Mark’s expert commentary combine to create a multifaceted discussion that appeals to listeners of all ages. The family’s camaraderie and love for storytelling are palpable, making this special episode a standout addition to Mark’s podcast repertoire. Whether you’re a fan of The Merry Gentlemen or simply enjoy hearing a family share their thoughts and experiences, this commentary track offers something for everyone, blending holiday spirit with genuine connection and meaningful conversation.

Damn You Hollywood: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024)

mardi 24 décembre 2024Durée 01:35:23

Robert Winfree, Alexis Hejna, Zach Strobel and Mark Radulich present their Sonic the Hedgehog 3 2024 Movie Review!

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is a 2024 action-adventure comedy film based on the video game series published by Sega. It is the third film in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series. The film was directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington, based on a story by Casey and Miller. Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Idris Elba reprise their roles, with Krysten Ritter and Keanu Reeves joining the cast. In the film, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles face a new enemy, Shadow the Hedgehog, who allies with the mad scientists Ivo and Gerald Robotnik in pursuit of revenge against humanity.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was announced in February 2022 during ViacomCBS's investor event before the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022). Due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, filming for animated characters began in July 2023 in Surrey, England, and filming with actors began that November in London. Production ended by March 2024. The plot draws elements from the video games Sonic Adventure 2 (2001) and Shadow the Hedgehog (2005). Reeves was cast due to the parallels between his performance in the John Wick films and Fowler's vision for Shadow.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 premiered at the Empire Leicester Square in London on December 10, 2024, and was released by Paramount Pictures in the United States on December 20. It received positive reviews, with praise for Carrey and Reeves' performances, and has grossed $62 million worldwide on a budget of $122 million. A fourth film is in development.

MHOD Jukebox: Body Count - Merciless (2024)

vendredi 20 décembre 2024Durée 02:25:14

Jesse Starcher, Robert Cooper, Mik Wanamaker and Mark Radulich present their Body Count Merciless 2024 Album Review as part of the MHOD Jukebox!

Body Count is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1990. The group is fronted by Ice-T, who first established himself as a rapper but co-founded the group with lead guitarist Ernie C out of their interest in heavy metal music. Ice-T took on the role of vocalist and writing the lyrics for most of Body Count's songs, while Ernie C has been responsible for writing the group's music.
Body Count's self-titled debut album was released on Sire Records in 1992, and garnered much attention due to a controversy around the song "Cop Killer". Their label, Sire Records, and their parent company, Warner Bros. Records, defended the song; however Ice-T chose to remove it from the album because he felt that the controversy had eclipsed the music itself. The group left Sire the following year, and they have since released seven more albums.

Three out of the band's original seven members are deceased: D-Roc died from lymphoma, Beatmaster V from leukemia, and Mooseman in a drive-by shooting. Body Count's current lineup includes vocalist Ice-T, guitarists Ernie C and Juan Garcia, bassist Vincent Price, drummer Will "Ill Will" Dorsey Jr., and backing vocalists Sean E Sean and Little Ice (Ice-T's son).

The band received its second Grammy nomination and later won the award at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2021 for Best Metal Performance with their song "Bum Rush" from the album Carnivore.

Merciless is the eighth studio album by American heavy metal band Body Count. It was released on November 22, 2024, via Century Media Records. Production was handled by Ice-T, Vincent Price and Will Putney. It features guest appearances from Corpsegrinder, Howard Jones, Joe Bad, and Max Cavalera.
