Hercules is a Radical Comics character who has appeared in two limited series, The Thracian Wars and The Knives of Kush, both written by Steve Moore with Cris Bolsin as the artist. The Jim Steranko "Hercules" from the cover of the first issue is also featured in solid bronze as the first in the Radical Toyz product line. Radical Toyz commissioned sculptor Chris Ingram to bring to life the art that represents Radical's flagship title.

The story takes place in barbarian Thrace, in Northern Greece. Hercules and his companions are hired by the Thracian king, Cotys, to train the Thracian army into one that excels in ruthlessness.

Hercules is a 2014 American action-adventure fantasy film directed by Brett Ratner from a screenplay by Ryan J. Condal and Evan Spiliotopoulos. It stars Dwayne Johnson as Hercules, a self-proclaimed demigod who is hired to lead the armies of Thrace into battle against a warlord. Ian McShane, Rebecca Ferguson, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan, and John Hurt also star. The film is based on Steve Moore's graphic novel Hercules, specifically the limited series The Thracian Wars.

Hercules was released by Paramount Pictures on July 25, 2014.It was one of two Hollywood-studio Hercules films released in 2014, the other being Lionsgate's The Legend of Hercules. I Know What You Did Last Summer is an American horror media franchise owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, consisting of four slasher films and one television series, and based on the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan.

The franchise follows various characters as they face a masked hook-wielding killer after they covered up an accident in which they supposedly killed someone. It started with a first installment written by Kevin Williamson, directed by Jim Gillespie, and released in 1997. Most of the films stars Jennifer Love Hewitt as Julie James and Freddie Prinze Jr. as Ray Bronson.

We present our M3GAN 2.0 review!

M3GAN 2.0 is a 2025 American science fiction action film that is the sequel to the 2022 film M3GAN. It follows M3GAN being rebuilt to combat a humanoid military robot built using M3GAN's technology that is attempting an AI takeover. It was written and directed by Gerard Johnstone from a story by Johnstone and Akela Cooper. It stars Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Ivanna Sakhno, and Jemaine Clement, with Amie Donald physically portraying M3GAN while Jenna Davis voices the character. Jason Blum and James Wan return as producers under their respective Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster companies.

M3GAN 2.0 premiered in New York on June 24, 2025, and was released in North America by Universal Pictures on June 27. The film received mixed reviews from critics and has grossed $17.2 million.

Mufasa: The Lion King is a 2024 American musical drama film directed by Barry Jenkins from a screenplay written by Jeff Nathanson. Mufasa: The Lion King premiered on December 9, 2024, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and was released in the United States by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on December 20, 2024. The film received mixed reviews from critics and has grossed $328 million.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is a 2024 action-adventure comedy film based on the video game series published by Sega. It is the third film in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series. Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Idris Elba reprise their roles, with Krysten Ritter and Keanu Reeves joining the cast. Jesse Starcher, Robert Cooper, Mik Wanamaker and Mark Radulich present their Body Count Merciless 2024 Album Review as part of the MHOD Jukebox!

Body Count is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1990. The group is fronted by Ice-T, who first established himself as a rapper but co-founded the group with lead guitarist Ernie C out of their interest in heavy metal music. Ice-T took on the role of vocalist and writing the lyrics for most of Body Count's songs, while Ernie C has been responsible for writing the group's music.
Body Count's self-titled debut album was released on Sire Records in 1992, and garnered much attention due to a controversy around the song "Cop Killer". Their label, Sire Records, and their parent company, Warner Bros. Records, defended the song; however Ice-T chose to remove it from the album because he felt that the controversy had eclipsed the music itself. The group left Sire the following year, and they have since released seven more albums.

Three out of the band's original seven members are deceased: D-Roc died from lymphoma, Beatmaster V from leukemia, and Mooseman in a drive-by shooting. Body Count's current lineup includes vocalist Ice-T, guitarists Ernie C and Juan Garcia, bassist Vincent Price, drummer Will "Ill Will" Dorsey Jr., and backing vocalists Sean E Sean and Little Ice (Ice-T's son).

The band received its second Grammy nomination and later won the award at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2021 for Best Metal Performance with their song "Bum Rush" from the album Carnivore.

Merciless is the eighth studio album by American heavy metal band Body Count. It was released on November 22, 2024, via Century Media Records. Production was handled by Ice-T, Vincent Price and Will Putney. It features guest appearances from Corpsegrinder, Howard Jones, Joe Bad, and Max Cavalera.

Kraven the Hunter is a 2024 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Directed by J. C. Chandor from a screenplay by Richard Wenk, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, the film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven the Hunter, alongside Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott, and Russell Crowe. Produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel Entertainment, it is the sixth film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU). The film explores Kraven's relationship with his father and his path to becoming the greatest hunter.

Kraven was considered for film appearances several times before Sony Pictures became interested in a standalone film for the character, as part of its new shared universe, in 2017. Wenk was hired in August 2018, with Marcum and Holloway joining later. Chandor entered negotiations to direct in August 2020 and was confirmed in May 2021 when Taylor-Johnson was cast. Additional cast members joined in early 2022 before filming took place from late March until mid-June in London, Iceland, and Glasgow.

Following two years of delays, Kraven the Hunter was released by Sony Pictures Releasing in the United States on December 13, 2024. The film grossed $26 million worldwide against a budget of $110–130 million, and received mixed to negative reviews from critics.

Hot Frosty is a 2024 American Christmas romantic comedy film directed by Jerry Ciccoritti, written by Russell Hainline, and starring Lacey Chabert, Dustin Milligan, Katy Mixon Greer, Lauren Holly, Chrishell Stause, Joe Lo Truglio, and Craig Robinson. Chabert plays Kathy, a widow who counters her loneliness with a magical snowman brought to life (portrayed by Milligan).

The film was released on Netflix on November 13, 2024.

Our Little Secret is a 2024 American romantic comedy film directed by Stephen Herek and written by Hailey DeDominicis. It stars Lindsay Lohan, alongside an ensemble cast featuring Ian Harding, Tim Meadows, Jon Rudnitsky, Judy Reyes, Henry Czerny, Chris Parnell, and Kristin Chenoweth. The film was a part of Lohan's creative partnership with Netflix, under which she also executive produced the project.

Our Little Secret follows Avery (Lohan), who is spending her first Christmas with her boyfriend's family but discovers her ex is also part of the holiday festivities and decides to hide their romantic history. Production began in Atlanta, in January 2024, and concluded late in the following month. It was released on the streaming service, on November 27, 2024. The film received mixed reviews.

Dear Santa is a 2024 American Christmas comedy film directed by Bobby Farrelly, written by Ricky Blitt, Jack Black, and Peter Farrelly from a story by Ricky Blitt, Peter Farrelly, and Dan Ewen, and starring Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Robert Timothy Smith, Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur, Austin Post, and P. J. Byrne. It tells the story of dyslexic and meek six-grader who writes a Christmas list to Santa Claus to help with his problems only for his misspelling to lead to him meeting Satan who helps him out.

The film was released on Paramount+ and digital platforms on November 25, 2024, by Paramount Pictures. It was met with mixed reviews.

Strange Darling is a 2023 American thriller film written and directed by JT Mollner and starring Willa Fitzgerald, Kyle Gallner, Barbara Hershey, and Ed Begley Jr. Set in rural Oregon, the film focuses on a man and woman who have a one-night stand that devolves into a cat-and-mouse game of murder. It is divided into six chapters in nonlinear order, and presented as a dramatization of the pinnacle of a serial killer's years-long murder spree in the Western United States.

Strange Darling was shot on 35 mm film on location in Oregon in the summer of 2022 by Giovanni Ribisi, marking his debut as a cinematographer. It premiered at the 2023 Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, and was given a limited theatrical release in the United States on August 23, 2024, by Magenta Light Studios. It received critical acclaim for its direction, writing, suspenseful sequences, and twists; and for the performances of Fitzgerald and Gallner.

Cuckoo is a 2024 horror film written and directed by Tilman Singer, and starring Hunter Schafer, Jan Bluthardt, Marton Csokas, Jessica Henwick, and Dan Stevens. A co-production between Germany and the United States, the film follows a teenager (Schafer) who moves to the German Alps to live with her father (Csokas) but becomes disturbed by strange occurrences as her father's boss (Stevens) embroils her family in a sinister plot.

Cuckoo had its world premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival on February 16, 2024. The film was released theatrically in the United States on August 9, 2024, and in Germany on August 29, 2024. It received generally positive reviews from critics and grossed $6.7 million.
The Substance is a 2024 satirical body horror film written, directed, co-edited, and co-produced by Coralie Fargeat. It follows a fading celebrity (Demi Moore) who, after being fired by her producer (Dennis Quaid) due to her age, uses a black market drug that creates a much younger version of herself (Margaret Qualley) with unexpected side effects.

An international co-production between France, the United Kingdom, and the United States, the film had its world premiere on 19 May 2024 at the 77th Cannes Film Festival main competition, where Fargeat won Best Screenplay. It was released theatrically in the United Kingdom and the United States by Mubi on 20 September 2024, and in France by Metropolitan Filmexport on 6 November 2024. The film was a critical and commercial success, grossing $56.5 million on a $17.5 million production budget. It received five nominations at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, including Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical.

What began as a routine comic book breakdown quickly spiraled into chaos when Darren Cross — newly transformed into a big, pink villain — was dubbed “the LGBTQ Hulk.” The resulting gag reel featured uncomfortable jokes, disco tangents, and one unexpectedly iconic line from Jesse that broke Mark mid-breath:

"Hit it, Darren."

Originally cut together from podcast outtakes and backed by car horns and absurd sound effects, the Ant-Man gag reel became infamous in Radulich podcast lore — funnier than the review itself.
Now, years later, that gag reel has been reborn as a full-blown dubstep banger, created entirely with AI. Wicked (titled onscreen as Wicked Part I) is a 2024 American musical fantasy film directed by Jon M. Chu, and written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox, with songs by Stephen Schwartz. It is the first of a two-part film adaptation of the stage musical of the same name based on the 1995 novel, which in turn is based on the Oz books and the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz.

The film covers the musical's first act. It stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba Thropp and Ariana Grande-Butera as Galinda Upland, with Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum rounding out the principal cast. Set in the Land of Oz before the events of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, it follows Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, and her friendship with her classmate Galinda, the future Glinda the Good.

Universal Pictures and Marc Platt, who both produced the stage musical, announced the film adaptation in 2012. After a long development and multiple delays, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chu was hired to direct, with Erivo and Grande cast in 2021. The film was split into two to avoid cutting plot points and expand the characters' journeys and relationships. Principal photography began in England in December 2022, was interrupted in July 2023 by the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, and was resumed and completed in January 2024.

Wicked premiered at the State Theatre in Sydney, Australia, on November 3, 2024, and was theatrically released in the United States on November 22. Critical response was positive; the film was named one of the top 10 films of 2024 by the American Film Institute, won Best Film at the National Board of Review and earned four nominations at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. It has grossed $455.6 million worldwide on a $150 million budget, becoming Chu's highest-grossing film. Wicked Part Two is scheduled for release on November 21, 2025.

Warren Beatty produced, directed and starred in the film, whose supporting cast includes Al Pacino, Madonna, Glenne Headly and Charlie Korsmo, with appearances by Dustin Hoffman, James Keane, Charles Durning, William Forsythe, Seymour Cassel, Mandy Patinkin, Catherine O'Hara, Ed O'Ross, James Caan, James Tolkan, R. G. Armstrong and Dick Van Dyke. Dick Tracy depicts the detective's romantic relationships with Breathless Mahoney and Tess Trueheart, as well as his conflicts with crime boss Alphonse "Big Boy" Caprice and his henchmen. Tracy also begins fostering a young street urchin named Kid.

The Phantom is a 1996 superhero film directed by Simon Wincer. Based on Lee Falk's comic strip The Phantom by King Features, the film stars Billy Zane as a seemingly immortal crimefighter and his battle against all forms of evil. The Phantom also stars Treat Williams, Kristy Swanson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, James Remar and Patrick McGoohan.

The Phantom was released on June 7, 1996, and received mixed reviews from film critics. Despite financial failure in its theatrical release, the film has enjoyed success on VHS, DVD and Blu-ray, and has developed a cult following.

The Shadow is a 1994 American superhero film from Universal Pictures, produced by Martin Bregman, Willi Bear, and Michael Scott Bregman, and directed by Russell Mulcahy. It stars Alec Baldwin, supported by John Lone, Penelope Ann Miller, Peter Boyle, Ian McKellen, Jonathan Winters, and Tim Curry. The film is based on the pulp fiction character of the same name created in 1931 by Walter B. Gibson.

The film was released to theaters on July 1, 1994, received mixed reviews, and was a commercial failure.

Auliʻi Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Temuera Morrison, Nicole Scherzinger, Rachel House, and Alan Tudyk all reprise their roles from the first film, with Hualālai Chung, Rose Matafeo, David Fane, Awhimai Fraser, Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda, and Gerald Ramsey joining the cast.

Development on a follow-up to Moana originally began as a long-form limited streaming series for Disney+, before it was reworked into a theatrical sequel by February 2024, with Derrick confirmed as both writer and director. The involvement of Hand, Miller, Chen, and Merino was confirmed in May; a month later, Bush was confirmed to be returning as a writer. Miller later replaced Derrick as a co-writer in August. Mark Mancina and Opetaia Foa'i, the composers and co-songwriters of the first film, returned to score and write the songs, while Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear replace Lin-Manuel Miranda as additional songwriters.

Gladiator II is a 2024 epic historical action film directed and produced by Ridley Scott that serves as a sequel to Gladiator (2000). Written by David Scarpa, from a story he wrote with Peter Craig, the film was produced by Scott Free Productions and distributed by Paramount Pictures. It stars Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Lior Raz, Derek Jacobi, Connie Nielsen, and Denzel Washington. Jacobi and Nielsen reprise their roles from the first film, with Mescal replacing Spencer Treat Clark. Mescal portrays Lucius, whose home is invaded by the Roman army led by General Acacius. He seeks revenge against Acacius and fights as a gladiator for Macrinus, a former slave who plans to overthrow the emperors Geta and Caracalla.

A sequel to Gladiator was discussed as early as June 2001, with David Franzoni and John Logan set to return as screenwriters. Over the next few years, Scott offered occasional updates, including the possible involvement of the original film's lead actor, Russell Crowe, along with plot ideas about the Roman afterlife and different historical time periods. Development was halted when DreamWorks sold the rights to the property to Paramount in 2006. The film was finally announced in 2018, and Mescal was cast in the lead role in January 2023, with a script by Scarpa. The rest of the cast signed on over the next several months. Filming took place between June 2023 and January 2024, with a five-month hiatus due to the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes.

Gladiator II had its world premiere in Sydney, Australia, on October 30, 2024, and was released in the United Kingdom on November 15, and in the United States on November 22. It received generally positive reviews from critics and has grossed $221 million.

Gladiator is a 2000 historical epic film directed by Ridley Scott and written by David Franzoni, John Logan, and William Nicholson from a story by Franzoni. It stars Russell Crowe, Joaquin Phoenix, Connie Nielsen, Oliver Reed, Derek Jacobi, Djimon Hounsou, and Richard Harris. Crowe portrays the Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius, who is betrayed when Commodus, the ambitious son of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, murders his father and seizes the throne. Reduced to slavery, Maximus becomes a gladiator and rises through the ranks of the arena, determined to avenge the murders of his family and the emperor.

The screenplay, initially written by Franzoni, was inspired by the 1958 Daniel P. Mannix novel Those About to Die. The script was acquired by DreamWorks Pictures, and Scott signed on to direct the film. Principal photography began in January 1999 and wrapped in May of that year. Production was complicated by the script being rewritten multiple times and by the death of Oliver Reed before production was finished.

Gladiator had its world premiere in Los Angeles, California, on May 1, 2000. The film was released in the United States on May 5, 2000 by DreamWorks and internationally on May 12, 2000 by Universal Pictures. The film grossed $465.4 million worldwide, becoming the second highest-grossing film of 2000, and won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Crowe. A sequel, Gladiator II, was released in November 2024.

Red One is a 2024 American action-adventure Christmas fantasy comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Chris Morgan, from an original story by Hiram Garcia. The film follows the head of North Pole security (Dwayne Johnson) teaming up with a notorious hacker (Chris Evans) in order to locate a kidnapped Santa Claus (J. K. Simmons) on Christmas Eve; Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, Nick Kroll, Kristofer Hivju, and Wesley Kimmel also star. The film is seen as the first of a Christmas-themed franchise, produced by Amazon MGM Studios in association with Seven Bucks Productions, Chris Morgan Productions, and The Detective Agency.

Red One was released internationally by Warner Bros. Pictures on November 6 and was released in the United States by Amazon MGM Studios through Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer on November 15, 2024. The film received generally negative reviews from critics.

Filming began in October 2022 in Atlanta and wrapped in February 2023. Filming ran into issues with Johnson, who was an average of seven to eight hours late to film his scenes and missed several days of shooting. These delays reportedly increased the budget by $50 million to a total of $250 million, which Garcia disputed. Johnson later admitted to frequent tardiness as well as urinating in bottles on set, but Evans and Kasdan defended him.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is an ongoing professional boxing match between YouTuber-turned-professional boxer Jake Paul and former undisputed heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson. The bout is scheduled for November 15, 2024, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Main card will be streamed globally on Netflix with the preliminary card streamed on YouTube.

Originally, the bout was scheduled to take place on July 20, but was postponed due to Tyson suffering an ulcer flare-up aboard a plane.

On November 3, 2023, it was reported that Netflix was considering streaming a boxing match involving Jake Paul.

On March 7, 2024, it was announced that Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions had partnered to host an event headlined by Paul facing former undisputed heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The event will be streamed globally exclusively on Netflix.

On the April 2, Tyson confirmed at that time the fight was to be classified as an exhibition bout and was not set to be recorded on their professional records. In response to rumors of 18-ounce (510 g) gloves and headgear, Tyson said in an interview, "not true at all", and clarified: "This is called an exhibition, but if you look up exhibition, you will not see any of the laws that we're fighting under. This is a fight." On April 10, Paul confirmed that they will be submitting a request to the Texas Combative Sports Program for the bout to be sanctioned as a professional bout.

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, former vocalist Anders Colsefni and bassist Paul Gray. After several lineup changes in its early years, the band settled on nine members for more than a decade: Crahan, Gray, Joey Jordison, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, and Jim Root. Slipknot is well known for its attention-grabbing image, aggressive style of music, and energetic and chaotic live shows.

The band rapidly rose to fame following the release of their eponymous debut album in 1999. The 2001 follow-up album, Iowa, although darker in tone, made the band more popular. After a brief hiatus, Slipknot returned in 2004 with Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses), before going on another hiatus and returning in 2008 with its fourth album, All Hope Is Gone, which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. After another long hiatus, Slipknot released its fifth studio album, .5: The Gray Chapter, in 2014. Their sixth studio album, We Are Not Your Kind, was released on August 9, 2019. Their seventh studio album, The End, So Far, was released on September 30, 2022. The band has released two live albums titled 9.0: Live and Day of the Gusano: Live in Mexico, a compilation album titled Antennas to Hell, and five live DVDs. The band has sold 30 million records worldwide and over 12 million in their home country.

Slipknot is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band Slipknot. It was released on June 29, 1999, by Roadrunner Records, following a demo containing a few of the songs which had previously been released in 1998. Later, it was reissued in December 1999 with a slightly-altered track listing and mastering as the result of a lawsuit. It was the first release by the band to be produced by Ross Robinson, who sought to refine Slipknot's sound rather than alter the group's musical direction. This is the only album to feature original guitarist Josh Brainard who left at the end of recording in late 1998 while the band was taking a brief break. Jim Root, who recorded two tracks at this point, would appear full time on subsequent albums starting with their next album Iowa.

The album spans several genres, but is generally noted for its extensive percussion and overall heavy sound. It was well received by fans and critics alike and was responsible for bringing Slipknot a large increase in popularity. The album peaked at number 51 on the Billboard 200, and has gone on to become certified double platinum in the United States, making it the band's best-selling album. In 2011, it was voted the best debut album of the last 25 years by readers of Metal Hammer magazine.

Welcome back to Triple Feature, where we don’t do pious canonization or mindless culture war dunking—we do critical conversations. And tonight, we’re closing out Pride Month with a look at three biographical films that give us not only a window into LGBTQ history but also force us to confront the messy, complicated truth behind some of its most iconic figures: Milk (2008), Kinsey (2004), and Lizzy (2018).
 
These are not feel-good hero narratives. Nor should they be. All three subjects—Harvey Milk, Alfred Kinsey, and Lizzie Borden—occupy liminal, even controversial, spaces in both queer history and American memory. And while these films do the Hollywood work of dramatizing personal struggle and cultural impact, what makes them worth watching—and discussing together—is that none of them give us easy protagonists. These are portraits of disruption, not sainthood. And maybe that’s exactly what Pride Month needs: less sanitized inspiration and more uncomfortable honesty.

Ash vs Evil Dead is an American comedy horror television series developed by Sam Raimi, Ivan Raimi, and Tom Spezialy for Starz. The series is set in the Evil Dead universe created by Raimi, with Bruce Campbell reprising his role as Ash Williams from the film series. Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, and Lucy Lawless also star.

Season Three is the 10-episode third season of Ash vs Evil Dead. Sam Raimi serves as executive producer with Rob Tapert, Bruce Campbell and Ivan Raimi. Rob Tapert becomes the new showrunner this season. Aaron Lam and Moira Grant serve as producers.

Five days after Ash vs Evil Dead season 2 episode Home premiered, Starz renewed it for a third season.

The series is set 30 years after the events of the Evil Dead trilogy, and follows Ash Williams, who now works at the "Value Stop" as a simple stock boy. Having spent his life not doing anything remarkable since the events of the trilogy, Ash will have to renounce his routine existence and become a hero once more by taking up arms and facing the titular Evil Dead. This season, Ash is forced to go out of retirement when Ruby's children start causing chaos.

Pearl Harbor is a 2001 American romantic war drama film directed by Michael Bay, produced by Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer and written by Randall Wallace. It stars Ben Affleck, Kate Beckinsale, Josh Hartnett, Cuba Gooding Jr., Tom Sizemore, Jon Voight, Colm Feore, and Alec Baldwin. The film features a heavily fictionalized version of the attack on Pearl Harbor by Japanese forces on December 7, 1941, focusing on a love story set amidst the lead up to the attack, its aftermath, and the Doolittle Raid.

Big Hero 6 is a 2014 American animated superhero film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Loosely based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name created by Man of Action, the film was directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams and produced by Roy Conli, from a script by Jordan Roberts, Robert L. Baird and Daniel Gerson. It stars the voices of Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, Daniel Henney, T.J. Miller, Jamie Chung, Damon Wayans Jr., Genesis Rodriguez, James Cromwell, Maya Rudolph, and Alan Tudyk. Big Hero 6 tells the story of Hiro Hamada, a young robotics prodigy, and Baymax, the healthcare-provider robot of Hiro's late brother Tadashi Hamada. They form a superhero team to combat a masked antagonist responsible for Tadashi's death.

Big Hero 6 is the first Disney animated film to feature Marvel Comics characters, whose parent company was acquired by the Walt Disney Company in 2009. Walt Disney Animation Studios created new software technology to produce the animated visuals.

Big Hero 6 debuted at the 27th Tokyo International Film Festival on October 23, 2014, and Abu Dhabi Film Festival on October 31, 2014, and was released in the United States on November 7. The film received positive reviews from critics with praise for its animation, pacing, action sequences, script, entertainment value and emotional weight. It grossed over $657.8 million worldwide and became the highest-grossing animated film of 2014. Big Hero 6 received seven nominations for Annie Awards and won one, and also received a Golden Globe nomination. At the 87th Academy Awards, the film won Best Animated Feature.

A television series, which continues the story of the film, aired from 2017 to 2021 on Disney Channel and Disney XD.[10] A two-season short series Baymax Dreams premiered in 2018, and another, Baymax!, was released on Disney+ in 2022.

Robert Winfree, Mark Radulich and Jason Teasley  present their Venom The Last Dance 2024 Movie Review!

Venom: The Last Dance is a 2024 American superhero film written and directed by Kelly Marcel, which features the Marvel Comics character Venom. The final installment of the Venom trilogy following Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), it is the fifth film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU). It stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and Venom, alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Stephen Graham, Peggy Lu, Clark Backo, Alanna Ubach, and Andy Serkis.

Hardy revealed in August 2018 that he was signed on to appear in a third and final Venom film and Sony Pictures began development by December 2021 after the second film was released. Marcel and Hardy were writing the script by June 2022, and Marcel was set to make her directorial debut with the film that October. New cast members, including Ejiofor and Temple, joined in mid-2023 and filming began at the end of June 2023 in Spain. Production was halted the next month due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, and resumed that November after the strike ended. The film was completed by the end of February 2024 and its title was revealed a month later.

Venom: The Last Dance premiered at the Regal Times Square theater in New York City on October 21, 2024, and was released in the United States on October 25. Like its predecessor, the film received mixed reviews from critics, and has grossed $175 million worldwide.

Jesse Starcher, Robert Cooper, Mik Wanamaker and Mark Radulich present their Motley Crue Cancelled EP 2024 Album Review as part of the MHOD Jukebox!

Cancelled is an EP by the American heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, released on October 4, 2024, through Big Machine Records. It is their first release with guitarist John 5, who replaced Mick Mars following his retirement from the band in October 2022.

On April 19, 2023, Mötley Crüe announced that they had begun working on new music with record producer Bob Rock. Bassist Nikki Sixx released a statement a month later, stating that it had finished production and had begun mixing the new material. In July 2023, frontman Vince Neil confirmed that the band recorded three brand new songs. Two months later, guitarist John 5 confirmed the title of a new song as "Dogs of War", and also revealed that the band had recorded a cover of "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)" by Beastie Boys.

On April 23, 2024, it was announced that Mötley Crüe had signed a deal with Big Machine Records, and three days later the band released "Dogs of War", their first song in five years and their first with John 5. Neil told Billboard that same month that additional music from Mötley Crüe could be released by the end of 2024 or in 2025, but also stated that new material could result in "a few songs here, a few songs there" rather than a full-length album. Drummer Tommy Lee did not rule out releasing a new Mötley Crüe album, but stated that "recording and writing some stuff that you're feeling right at the moment and releasing it is, for us, a lot more a lot more fun and sort of a time stamp of where we're at right now." Sixx said that the band had recorded two other new singles that were ready to be released.

On August 23, 2024, Mötley Crüe released their cover version of "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)" as a single, and announced on the same day that a new EP, titled Cancelled, would be released on October 4.

Their eponymous album Clown Core was released in 2010. The album Toilet followed eight years later. Their album Van was released in 2020. The EP 1234 released in 2021. Their projects are all self-released.

Peacock’s horror series Hysteria! blends dark humor, supernatural thrills, and a retro look at 1980s "Satanic Panic." Created by Matthew Scott Kane and David Goodman, this eight-episode series was released on October 18, 2024, with the first episode simulcast on USA Network and Syfy. The storyline revolves around a high school heavy metal band in a small Michigan town that seizes the local Satanic scare to boost its image, only to become embroiled in a genuine crisis of mysterious disappearances, murders, and supernatural phenomena, creating a charged narrative about generational fears and paranoia. It follows an eleven-year-old boy named Elio Solís (Kibreab) who accidentally becomes the intergalactic ambassador of planet Earth after being beamed up to the Communiverse by aliens for making contact. He must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms and navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions that involves the warlord father of an alien he befriended.

Elio was conceived by Molina as a story about childhood and social isolation and was inspired by growing up at a military base and his eventual enrollment at the California Institute of the Arts. The film was officially announced in September 2022, with Molina attached to direct. Molina later left the project to work on Coco 2 (2029), and in August 2024, it was announced that Shi and Sharafian would replace him as the lead directors. The production team devised a process, titled the "College Project", to create the look of the space setting, Communiverse. The film was shot with a virtual anamorphic lens and Pixar's new Luna lighting toolset was used to quickly define lighting and the overall aesthetic. Its musical score was composed by Rob Simonsen.

Elio premiered at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on June 10, 2025, and was theatrically released internationally on June 20, 2025.[5][6] The film has received positive reviews from critics and has grossed $34.8 million.

'Salem's Lot is a 2024 American supernatural horror film written and directed by Gary Dauberman, based on the 1975 novel by Stephen King. The film stars Lewis Pullman, Makenzie Leigh, Alfre Woodard, John Benjamin Hickey, Bill Camp, Jordan Preston Carter, Nicholas Crovetti, Spencer Treat Clark, William Sadler, and Pilou Asbæk. It is the first feature film adaptation of the book, preceded by miniseries versions from 1979 and 2004. The plot centers on a writer who returns to his hometown of Jerusalem's Lot in search of inspiration, only to discover the presence of a vampire. The film was announced in 2019 and shot in 2021, with additional photography in 2022. The film's release was delayed multiple times.
 
'Salem's Lot had its world premiere as the opening film at the Beyond Fest on September 25, 2024, and was released on Max on October 3, 2024. The film received mixed reviews from critics.
 
Mr. Crocket, directed by Brandon Espy, is a horror film that debuted on Hulu on October 11, 2024, as part of its "Huluween" lineup. The movie, set in 1993, follows a mother’s terrifying quest to rescue her son from a demonic children's show host, Mr. Crocket, who kidnaps children and brutally murders their parents. Originally developed from a short film created for Hulu's Bite Size Halloween series, the full-length feature was written by Espy and Carl Reid. It taps into 90s nostalgia with its VHS aesthetic and chilling supernatural elements.
 
Apartment 7A is a 2024 American psychological thriller film directed by Natalie Erika James from a screenplay she co-wrote with Christian White and Skylar James. It serves as a prequel to Rosemary's Baby (1968). Julia Garner, Dianne Wiest, Jim Sturgess, and Kevin McNally star.
Apartment 7A had its premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 20, 2024, before being released simultaneously on Paramount+ and on digital video on demand on September 27.

Blame It on Rio is a 1984 American romantic comedy film directed by Stanley Donen and written by Charlie Peters and Larry Gelbart based on the 1977 French film Un moment d'égarement, starring an ensemble cast, including Michael Caine, Joseph Bologna, Michelle Johnson, Valerie Harper, Demi Moore, and José Lewgoy.

LOL is a 2012 American teen romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Lisa Azuelos. A remake of the 2008 French film of its title (also directed by Azuelos), the film stars Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore, Ashley Greene, and Adam Sevani.

The film received a limited release in the United States on May 4, 2012, by Lionsgate, which handicapped it after being reeled back from a broader release, and had an overall negative critical reception. Thus, the film missed its budget by box office gross by only $500,000.

The Woman in Red is a 1984 American romantic comedy film directed by and starring Gene Wilder. Wilder also wrote the script, adapting it from the Yves Robert film Pardon Mon Affaire (Sorry My Affair) (Un éléphant ça trompe énormément (An Elephant Can Be Extremely Deceptive)). It co-stars Charles Grodin, Gilda Radner, Joseph Bologna, Judith Ivey, and Kelly LeBrock. The film won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "I Just Called to Say I Love You", written and performed by Stevie Wonder.

The film follows a married man who becomes infatuated with another woman and his amusingly unsuccessful attempts to first meet and then become intimate with her.

Ash vs Evil Dead is an American comedy horror television series developed by Sam Raimi, Ivan Raimi, and Tom Spezialy for Starz. The series is set in the Evil Dead universe created by Raimi, with Bruce Campbell reprising his role as Ash Williams from the film series. Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, and Lucy Lawless also star.

Three days before the series' premiere, Starz renewed it for a second season, which premiered on October 2, 2016.

The series is set 30 years after the events of the Evil Dead trilogy, and follows Ash Williams, who now works at the "Value Stop" as a simple stock boy. Having spent his life not doing anything remarkable since the events of the trilogy, Ash will have to renounce his routine existence and become a hero once more by taking up arms and facing the titular Evil Dead. This season, Ash is forced to go out of retirement when Ruby's children start causing chaos.

Joker: Folie à Deux is a 2024 American jukebox musical psychological thriller film directed by Todd Phillips from a screenplay he co-wrote with Scott Silver. Loosely based on DC Comics characters, it is the standalone sequel to Joker (2019). The film stars Joaquin Phoenix reprising the title role as Arthur Fleck, with Lady Gaga joining as his love interest Lee Quinzel. Zazie Beetz also reprises her role from the previous film, while Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener join the cast. It is produced by Warner Bros. Pictures in association with Joint Effort and was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Joker was conceived as a standalone film, although Warner Bros. intended the film to launch a DC Black film series. Phillips expressed interest in making a sequel, which entered development in June 2022, with Gaga and Beetz joining later that year. Principal photography took place in New York City, Los Angeles, and Belleville, New Jersey, from December 2022 to April 2023.

Joker: Folie à Deux premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 4, 2024, and was released in the United States on October 4, 2024. The film received negative reviews from critics, who praised the cinematography and performances of Phoenix and Gaga, but criticized the musical numbers, story and screenplay. It has grossed $114 million worldwide against its $190-200 million budget.

"At the end of the day Overkill is Overkill. Our trademark is that we are always recognizable on every release. For the three decades we have been around we were always Overkill. So sure it is a metal record and like always it will have sort of a thrash vibe to it with some melody in it. It's always best to try to make it better or at least think in your mind that it is going to be better. That becomes the challenge. I think that is what keeps the band rolling. A lot of bands are known for what they have done, but I feel being known for where you are and what you are doing is where true value lies. I feel we accomplished that on the last few albums."

Sean Comer, Alexis Hejna, Pat Mullin and Mark Radulich present their The X Trilogy Movie Review. The X film series consists of American horror films based on an original story written by Ti West. The series includes the original film X, its prequel Pearl (both 2022), and its sequel MaXXXine (2024). The overall plot of the movies centers on two characters, Maxine "Max" Minx and Pearl, both portrayed by Mia Goth.

The first film, X, was met with critical acclaim, and was a success at the box office. A tribute to slasher films of the past, the picture was deemed a horror film classic and impactful, anticipating its influence on the future of the genre. Its prequel, Pearl, was also critically acclaimed, with some stating that it inadvertently improved the premise of the previous installment, and was also a success at the box office. The third film, MaXXXine, was released on July 5, 2024. It received generally favorable reviews from critics and became the highest grossing film in the series.

X is a 2022 American slasher film written, directed, produced and edited by Ti West. It stars Mia Goth in dual roles: a young woman named Maxine, and an elderly woman named Pearl. The film also stars Jenna Ortega, Martin Henderson, Brittany Snow, Owen Campbell, Stephen Ure, and Scott Mescudi. Set in 1979, the film follows a cast and crew who gather to make a pornographic film on an elderly couple's rural Texas property, but find themselves threatened by the homicidal couple.

Pearl is a 2022 American horror film directed, produced, and edited by Ti West, and co-written by West and Mia Goth. It is the second installment in West's X film series and a prequel to X (2022). Goth reprises her role as the title character, with a supporting cast featuring David Corenswet, Tandi Wright, Matthew Sunderland, and Emma Jenkins-Purro. Pearl serves as an origin story for the title villain, whose fervent aspiration to become a movie star led to her committing violent acts on her family's Texas homestead in 1918.

MaXXXine is a 2024 American horror film written, directed, produced, and edited by Ti West. It is the third installment in West's X film series following X and Pearl (both 2022), serving as a direct sequel to the former. Mia Goth reprises her X role as Maxine Minx, starring alongside Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon. In the film, Maxine sets out for fame and success in 1980s Hollywood while being targeted by a mysterious killer.

The Wild Robot is a 2024 American animated science fiction survival film based on the book series of the same name by Peter Brown, produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures. The film was written and directed by Chris Sanders, produced by Jeff Hermann, and executive-produced by Sanders's longtime collaborative partner Dean DeBlois. It stars the voices of Lupita Nyong'o, Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Mark Hamill, Catherine O'Hara, Matt Berry, and Ving Rhames. In the film, Roz (Nyong'o), a robot shipwrecked on an uninhabited island, must adapt to her surroundings, build relationships with the local wildlife, and become the adoptive mother of an orphaned goose.

Sanders first encountered the original The Wild Robot book through his daughter and years later was offered an opportunity to direct a film adaptation at DreamWorks. The film uses a hand-painted aesthetic, inspired by classic Disney animated films and the works of Hayao Miyazaki. It would be the final film to be animated entirely in-house at DreamWorks, as the studio would begin relying heavily on outside vendors after 2024. Kris Bowers composed the film's score, marking his first score for an animated film.

The Wild Robot premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2024, and was theatrically released in the United States on September 27, 2024. The film received critical acclaim and has grossed $54 million against a $78 million budget.

The boys review  German thrash gods Kreator latest album, Gods of Violence.

Gods of Violence is the fourteenth studio album by German thrash gods Kreator, released on January 27, 2017. It is the band's first studio album in almost five years since 2012's Phantom Antichrist, marking the longest gap between two studio albums in their career. A music video for the album's title track was released on November 18, 2016. Special editions of the album were released with a bonus Blu-ray/DVD of Kreator's performance at Wacken 2014.

In this episode of Comic Stripped, Mark Radulich and Evan Bevins dive into Here, discussing how Richard McGuire's formal experiment reshaped the boundaries of graphic storytelling and how Zemeckis’ adaptation attempts to interpret that same vision through cinema. The hosts explore whether the emotional arc added in the film enhances or detracts from the original’s minimalist power. They also debate the challenges of adapting abstract art into narrative film, and where Here sits in the pantheon of both graphic novels and cinematic experimentation.

"Here" is a 6-page comic story by Richard McGuire published in 1989, and expanded into a 304-page graphic novel in 2014. The concept of "Here" (in both versions) is to show the same location in space at different points in time, ranging from the primordial past to thousands of years in the future. "Here" has been recognized as a groundbreaking experiment with the formal properties of comics.

Here is a 2024 American drama film produced and directed by Robert Zemeckis, who co-wrote the screenplay with Eric Roth, based on the 2014 graphic novel by Richard McGuire. Echoing the source material, the film is told in a nonlinear fashion: using a locked-down or "static shot" technique, the story covers a single plot of land and its inhabitants, from the distant past to the 21st century. During the film, the screen is often subdivided into panes, presenting events from different times simultaneously. The film stars Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Paul Bettany, and Kelly Reilly, with digital de-aging via generative artificial intelligence being used on much of the cast to have them portray their characters over time.

Here premiered at the AFI Fest on October 25, 2024, before being theatrically released in the United States by TriStar Pictures through Sony Pictures Releasing on November 1, 2024.[10] The film received generally negative reviews from critics and grossed $15.8 million.

Robert Winfree, Mark Radulich, Jason Teasley and Cole Marentette present their Transformers One 2024 Movie Review!

Transformers One is a 2024 American animated science fiction action film based on Hasbro's Transformers toy line. It was directed by Josh Cooley from a screenplay by Eric Pearson and the writing duo of Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, based on a story by Barrer and Ferrari. The ensemble voice cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm. It is set on Cybertron, the home planet of the Transformers and depicts the origins and early relationship of Optimus Prime and Megatron.

In March 2015, following the release of Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014), Paramount Pictures tasked Akiva Goldsman to set up a writers' room to create ideas for potential future Transformers films. By May 2015, Barrer and Ferrari had signed on as writers, and they came up with the idea of an animated prequel set on Cybertron. The film was announced in August 2017, and by April 2020, Cooley had been hired to direct. Animation services were provided by Industrial Light & Magic, and the design was primarily influenced by Generation 1 and Art Deco. The score was composed by Brian Tyler.

Transformers One premiered in Sydney, Australia on September 11, 2024, and was released by Paramount Pictures in the United States on September 20. The film has grossed $38.6 million worldwide and received largely positive reviews from critics, who praised the story, humor, action sequences, animation and voice performances.

MHOD reviews the latest from Greek power metal band Firewind, Immortals!

Immortals is the eigth studio album from Firewind.  Immortals is a concept album focused on the battles of Thermopylae and Salamis during the second Persian invasion of Greece in 480 BC.

On July 2016, Firewind entered the studio to begin recording a new album. In November 2016, it was announced that the album, titled Immortals, had been completed and would be released on January 20, 2017. On November 25, the band released the first single from this album, entitled "Hands of Time".

Sean Comer and Mark Radulich review movies currently on streaming services and in theaters: Stan and Ollie/Chaplin/Judy Movie Review! First up is Stan and Ollie (2018). Then we move on to Chaplin (1992). Finally we review Judy (2019).

Stan & Ollie is a 2018 biographical comedy-drama film directed by Jon S. Baird. The script, written by Jeff Pope, was inspired by Laurel and Hardy: The British Tours by A.J. Marriot which chronicled the later years of the comedy double act Laurel and Hardy; the film stars Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly as Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. The film focuses on details of the comedy duo's personal relationship while relating how they embarked on a gruelling music hall tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland during 1953 and struggled to get another film made.

The film premiered on 21 October 2018 at the closing night gala of the BFI London Film Festival. It was released in the United States on 28 December 2018 and in the United Kingdom on 11 January 2019. At the 76th Golden Globe Awards, Reilly was nominated for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, and at the 72nd British Academy Film Awards the film earned three nominations, including Best British Film and Best Actor in a Leading Role for Coogan.

Chaplin is a 1992 biographical comedy-drama film about the life of English comic actor and filmmaker Charlie Chaplin. It was produced and directed by Richard Attenborough and stars Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Dan Aykroyd, Penelope Ann Miller and Kevin Kline. It also features Charlie Chaplin's own daughter, Geraldine Chaplin, in the role of his mother, Hannah Chaplin.
The film underperformed at the box office, grossing $12 million against a $31 million budget, and received mixed reviews from critics; Downey's titular performance, however, garnered critical acclaim and won him the BAFTA Award for Best Actor along with nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actor and Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama.

Judy is a 2019 biographical drama film based on the life of American entertainer Judy Garland. Directed by Rupert Goold, it is an adaptation of the Olivier- and Tony-nominated West End and Broadway play End of the Rainbow by Peter Quilter. The film stars Renée Zellweger, Jessie Buckley, Finn Wittrock, Rufus Sewell, and Michael Gambon.

The film follows Garland's career during the last year of her life, when she relocated her stage career to England, coupled with flashbacks of her childhood, most prominently the shooting of her part as Dorothy Gale in The Wizard of Oz (1939), her most famous film role. After some initial success in a run of sell-out concerts at the Talk of the Town in London, her efforts eventually stop making progress and even start to worsen as her health deteriorates.

Judy premiered at the 46th Telluride Film Festival on 30 August 2019, and was released in the United States on 27 September 2019, and in the United Kingdom on 2 October 2019. The film received generally positive reviews, with Zellweger's performance garnering widespread acclaim. For her portrayal of Garland, Zellweger won the Academy Award for Best Actress, as well as the Golden Globe Award, SAG Award, BAFTA Award and Critics' Choice Movie Award.
