This is where the story of my guest Maureen Mwangi began. Growing up in an entrepreneurial home where daily hustle was the reality she watched her parents struggle to find continued growth and success, especially in the area of money.
Fast forward to her adult years and the desire to create her own business. Every day Maureen combated the idea and that money is hard to make and we can only do something in business if we have the cash on hand for it.
It was through working with a mentor that Maureen became aware of the beliefs she had around money and with their support slowly started making the adjustments needed to let them go.
No longer did she want to steal from herself by setting her prices too low.
No longer did she want to hustle for hours on end every week when the reality was she could work less and still make more.

Buying a business is like buying a new house. You have this vision and dreams that come along with a new owner's energy. That is where my guest Lilin Gabriel and her husband were shortly before the global pandemic hit.
With the pandemic came a lot of changes, sometimes daily and their energy went from one of excitement and possibility to one of concern and fear.
Fear that carried with it questions like:
…do they keep the doors open?
…do they move 100% online?
…do they close entirely?
Yet, despite the long list of unknowns Lilin and her husband refused to be backed into a corner with their hands up. Instead, they faced this challenge head on and kept moving forward.
It was through these adjustments lessons were learned, data was collected and early on they saw their biggest jump in revenue expansion.
