I embarked on a Health Journey triggered by my own health 3 years ago not only to become healthier but also to understand different aspects of holistic health, nutrition. At age 36 I was diagnosed with colon cancer. It is not something anyone wants to hear but it was definitely a wakeup call and it was time to take MY Health and MY Life back into my own hands. In this ongoing healing process and working towards NED (no evidence of disease) I have learned so much about myself and about the power our own bodies have to heal. With the glory of God I became a Certified Health Coach and still training as a Functional Nutritionist.

My guest today is Amanda Elise Love . Amanda is a registered holistic nutritionist who works with those with fibromyalgia . She wants you to know the meaning of the word holistic with talking about nutrition and supplements. To think of the word holistic is to realize that it means the integration of the mind ,body and spirit when addressing health issues. She has a long history of illness which culminated with the diagnosis of Fibromayliga at the age of 20. She knows this syndrome because she has been there. She no longer suffers from the pain, fatigue and headaches of this syndrome. Now she helps those with fibromyalgia do the same.

Dr. Melissa MacDonald (Dr. Mac) is a graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic. She then spent two years of specialty training in the Human Performance Center where she focused her research and clinical skills on specific testing and treatment protocols. Additionally, Dr. Mac served as the team Clinician for the Minnesota Vixen, a professional women’s football team that won the conference championship in 2018. She recently traveled to the World Championship of Rowing to provide care for the athletes in Sarasota, FL. Dr. Mac is the Chief Medical Officer for River City Rhythms a Drum Corp International Marching Band and the Team Chirorpactor for MN Roller Derby. Dr. Mac has achieved both international and national certification as a chiropractic sport provider. She is a speaker on sports chiropractic issues in the United States as well as abroad.
