This is the Fall 2025 Edition of my audio newsletter. In this episode, I update you on my business, both of my podcasts, my family, and what I've been listening to, reading, watching, and playing between August 22-December 3, 2025. This is my last Fall update because I'm switching from a weekly format to a monthly format in February 2026.
Kim Newlove is an Ohio-licensed pharmacist. She graduated from The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy with her BS Pharm in 2001. She has experience in hospital, retail, compounding, and behavioral health. Kim is not in clinical practice anymore. Instead, she uses my voice to write, narrate, and podcast—drawing on her experience to help others share their own voices through spoken and written content.

How do you say Journavx? (Pronunciation Series Episode 68)
Épisode 358
vendredi 28 novembre 2025 • Durée 07:53
This is the 68th episode in my drug pronunciation series. In this episode, I divide Journavx and suzetrigine into syllables, tell you which syllables to emphasize, and share my sources. The written pronunciations are below and in the show notes on https://www.thepharmacistsvoice.com. Special thanks to Kelly Glynn at Vertex Pharmaceuticals for nominating Journavx for this episode.
Note: we don't cover pharmacology in this series. Just pronunciations.
Journavx = jur-NAV-ix
jur, like Journey (Bringing Journavx to market was a long journey ~27 years.)
NAV, which is the name of the voltage-gated sodium channel that Journavx blocks. Journavx blocks NAV 1.8.
ix, like "fix."
Emphasize NAV.
The written pronunciation came from tweaking the written pronunciation in the Patient Information section of the prescribing information for Journavx (accessed 11-25-2025).
My source for the spoken pronunciation is journavx.com. Click the small *speaker* symbol next to the word "Journavx" on the landing page to hear the pronunciation. As an alternative, listen to the videos on journavx.com and journavxhcp.com (accessed 11-25-25).
Suzetrigine = soo-ZE-tri-jeen
soo, as in Journavx soothes pain
ZE, like zest
tri, like trigger
jeen, like the word "gene" (as in genetic)
Emphasize the second syllable, "ZE."

Source for the spoken pronunciation = drugs.com (accessed 9-24-25)
Tylenol = TY-luh-nall
TY, like you tie your shoes
luh, like lullaby
nall, which rhymes with y'all. (After this podcast episode, y'all should know how to say Tylenol and acetaminophen.) 😉
Source for the written pronunciation = I made a simple one up, and there is also one on and .

My Novel Career in Pharmacy Speech for Pharmacy Students
Épisode 256
vendredi 15 décembre 2023 • Durée 47:18
This is an encore presentation of a speech I gave to a class of P3 students in the "Exploring Novel Careers in Pharmacy" elective at The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy during Fall Semester 2023.
This episode is also available via video on my YouTube channel. YouTube.com/@thepharmacistsvoice or type @thepharmacistsvoice in a YouTube app.
The instructor's name is Dr. Michelle Schroeder, and the class was conducted via WebEx. I had up to 35 minutes to speak about my Novel Career in Pharmacy and 15 minutes for questions, 50 minutes total. Delivering a powerpoint presentation was recommended (but I used Canva), and I was given a list of topics to discuss from my past, present, and future + advice. I did not speak for the full 35 minutes, and the students were happy to fill the remainder of the class time with questions. They all had good questions, and I share the two that stuck out most to me at the end of this episode.

Épisode 255
vendredi 8 décembre 2023 • Durée 01:01:33
This is a great episode for pharmacist podcasters and pharmacist authors who want to narrate their own audiobooks. Producing audio files is difficult for novice podcasters and first-time audiobook narrators. Audivita Studios is a full-service podcast production company that also helps authors who want to narrate their own audiobooks from home.
Audivita Studios Founder and CEO David Wolf is my guest today. We discuss audiobooks, podcasting, podcast planning, microphones, and more.
Disclaimer: I'm not an Audivita employee or affiliate as of December 2023. I needed a trustworthy concierge podcasting service I could refer my podcast planning clients to if they needed a full-service podcast and audiobook production company. I found what I needed at Audivita Studios.
Thank you Jay Spang for getting the conversation going, and thank you David Wolf for being my guest on the podcast! I love what you do at Audivita, and I look forward to referring my clients to you.
David Wolf spent years serving as a music composer and producer of audio content for radio, TV, film, podcasts, audiobooks and multimedia.
He founded Audivita Studios in 2016 to apply his experience and the talents, skills and expertise of his creative team to help companies, publishers, entrepreneurs, influencers and thought leaders grow their brands and businesses with podcasts and audiobooks.

Here is the introduction that Dr. Schroder read as she introduced me:
Kim Newlove is an Ohio pharmacist. She graduated from The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy with her BS Pharm in 2001. Her clinical experience includes hospital, retail, compounding, and behavioral health.
Kim is no longer in clinical practice. Instead, she is self-employed in two non-traditional roles.
First, Kim is a full-time, Independent Caregiver through the Ohio Dept of Developmental Disabilities (DODD). With that role, Kim provides care directly to an adult with a developmental disability in Wood County, Ohio. She has an NPI number and an Ohio Medicaid billing number.
Second, Kim is a voice actor and podcast host. She founded The Pharmacist's Voice ®, LLC in 2017, and launched The Pharmacist's Voice ® Podcast in 2019. Her website is https://www.thepharmacistsvoice.com. She is also the host of The Perrysburg Podcast, which you can find at www.perrysburgpodcast.com
Kim is a go-to pharmacist in audio production. She believes in the transformative power of well-communicated messages, and her mission is to connect with her audience so that they trust her message. Her delivery style is confident and trustworthy.
In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with family, playing Ticket to Ride Switzerland 🇨🇭, swimming, and riding her BMW C400X motorbike. 🇩🇪
The most memorable questions I was asked:
"What's your why? Why become a voice actor and a podcast host."
"Who is your white whale? Meaning…Who is the #1 person you want to interview, but you think they're out of reach for whatever reason?"
