Tracy Grammer – Multi-Instrumentalist, Songwriter, Performer
dimanche 12 janvier 2025 • Durée 01:00:13
Tracy Grammer is a wordsmith and a poet, creating music that is bluegrassy w/traditional and electric instruments, haunting and raucous melodies. Her songs delve into emotional landscapes, stories, and the perennial inquiry into human existence.
Prior to her solo career Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer were a musical duo getting a lot of radio play, touring nationally, when Dave Carter died in 2002. Since then Tracy has carried Dave’s music forward while continuing to develop herself as an artist.
The conversation with Tracy and Baruch is lively, with humor and gravity. Tracy is a very humble person, but her artistry is brilliant. She has a number of solo albums worth listening to.

Curtis White – New Book “Transcendent: art and dharma in a time of collapse”
lundi 16 janvier 2023 • Durée 59:30
Curtis White has been writing for his whole life, fiction and non-fiction. His most recent book is Transcendent art and dharma in a time of collapse.
“In Transcendent, celebrated cultural critic Curtis White, asks what Buddhism will look like in the future. Do we want a secular Buddhism that looks like corporations and neuroscience? Or do we want a Buddhism that still provides refuge from the debased world of money and things? Transcendence is not about magic realms where spirits fly about; the world is, as Shunryu Suzuki put it, its own magic. We only need to reclaim it and reclaim our humanity while we’re at it.” –MHPBooks.com
Baruch and Curtis discuss the book and the questions it brings up and seeks to address.
Music by: Keola Beamer, Jethro Tull, Adrian Belew, George Harrison & Leon Russell, Joan Zen, Mercedes Bahleda & Klaus Helbrecht, and 3 Trees
