Let's Talk About Birth
Jennifer Lincoln
Fréquence : 1 épisode/33j. Total Éps: 38

Let’s Talk About Birth is a limited podcast series hosted by board-certified OB-GYN Dr. Jennifer Lincoln, returning to the mic to keep the conversation going, this time with a focus on birth. In a space filled with noise, from unsolicited “helpful” advice to the overwhelming and often inaccurate information online, coupled with a medical system that is not meeting the needs of pregnant people, this series cuts through the chaos to talk about what truly matters. With a refreshingly honest, myth-busting approach to pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, Dr. Jen brings evidence-based insight, compassion, humor, and relatability to inspiring conversations with a wide range of guests, unpacking the beautiful, the messy, and everything in between. You may recognize her voice from her previous podcast Let’s Talk About Down There or from her presence as a reproductive health advocate to more than 4 million followers, and now she’s back with a series designed to inform, support, and empower. She’s also the author of her latest book, The Birth Book: An OBGYN’s Guide to Demystifying Labor and Delivery, which aims to pull back the curtain on labor and delivery so every pregnant person can have the birth they want and deserve. So whether you’re expecting, have been through it, are supporting someone you love, or are simply curious… let’s talk about birth!

A Pediatric POV with the Other Dr. Lincoln
Saison 1 · Épisode 18
lundi 13 mars 2023 • Durée 34:53
This week, instead of answering questions, Dr. Jen has the pleasure of sitting down with a very special guest—none other than the other Dr. Lincoln, a.k.a. her husband, Doug! As a general pediatrician and OBGYN, this dynamic doctor duo met in med school over 20 years ago and have been married for 15, accumulating a combined wealth of knowledge and wisdom to share. The two swap stories, reminiscing about their residency days at the same hospital, and dive straight into the good, the bad, and the ugly of puberty and social media with kids. Plus, Dr. Jen doesn’t shy away from asking her hubby all the hard-hitting questions, like what it’s really like to be married to a content creator, if he’d ever become a TikToker, and how he feels about all of the vaginal memorabilia in their home...the romance is real!
What’s going down:
- What it’s like working with kids from Dr. Doug’s perspective and why Dr. Jen would never want to do his job
- Dr. Doug’s true thoughts on Dr. Jen’s mission and social media content
- The intersection of their jobs and the influence it has on children’s healthcare
- Advice for parents opening the discussion of puberty with their children
- Teen boys and the surprising battles they struggle with behind closed doors
