Maaike Steinebach is a seasoned international Executive with over 20 years’ experience in Managing Director & CEO roles. Her career has spanned the UK, Singapore, China and Hong Kong, across companies such as Fortis Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and Visa. Having discovered her passion for advancing the femtech sector, she has now founded her own business to support and grow this industry and has taken on a role as co-CEO of Femtech Association Asia. Maaike is also passionate about connecting and elevating women in the tech sector and has co-founded the Women in Tech Association in Hong Kong. 

In this episode, we speak with Simone Clarke, the CEO of UN Women Australia, with over 25 years’ experience working in not for profit leadership, with a particular focus on empowering women and children. We’re excited to chat with Simone about careers in the UN, the concept of unconscious bias and fostering psychological safety at work.

In this episode, Zeinab and Trisha speak with Anouk De Blieck, a senior HR executive with over 30 years’ experience working at finance and technology multinationals. She originally started her career in Sales, Operations & Project Management, but realizing her passion was HR, she moved to take on regional and global HR leadership positions at some of the top multinational companies, including Visa, Citibank and ANZ, in emerging and mature markets across EMEA, Asia, Northern America and Oceania. In this episode, Zeinab & Trisha join Co-Founder & Country Director of Educaid Sierra Leone, Miriam Mason, as she explains how she built a not-for-profit to enable underprivileged children to receive high quality education. Arriving in Sierra Leone in 2000 at the end of the civil war, Miriam started a school in her backyard with 20 children, which has now grown to a network of 9 schools serving over 3,000 students. Miriam shares her entrepreneurial journey to build Educaid, her passion for education, and how she was able to influence country-wide change by building a standard for high quality education at Educaid.
