In this fun and inspiring episode, I reconnect with my old manager, Emily Morris, who is now the Studio Manager at Sainsbury's and the founder of ESTA (Ecomm Studio Training Academy). Emily started her career as a stylist, with an impressive stint studying in Milan and working on glamorous sets with celebrities like Rihanna. Her leadership skills were honed at TK Maxx, which set her on a path to working with top brands like ASOS, Boohoo, and now Sainsbury's. Aimee Jakes is the Shopping Editor at Heat & Closer. Originally destined for a life in teaching, Aimee had a change of heart at university which saw her pivot her entire career into the glamorous world of fashion journalism. We dive into the ins and outs of her role, which, believe it or not, involves a lot more than just shopping! Owen Vincent is a celebrity and fashion photographer and the Editor-in-Chief of Revamp Magazine. Owen and I go way back, having started our careers around the same time, we first met while assisting the talented photographer Leigh Kiley, owner of JON magazine. It was there that Owen honed his skills in photography, retouching, and the ins and outs of working with celebrities and running a magazine. Owen tells all about how a chance meeting with Mutya from Sugababes blossomed into a strong professional connection, allowing him to photograph her and the rest of the group, and how this has evolved into a strong career for him. Owen shares the highs and lows of his journey, including the valuable lessons learned from assisting, the importance of networking, and how to handle rejection in a competitive industry. He also gives the low down on Revamp Magazine, how he came up with the idea and runs the magazine alongside his close friend.

Silvia Calvo Sanz is the fashion co-ordinator at Maag. Silvia started out in journalism, only to find she much preferred being hands on and styling. She started out assisting at magazine shoots but soon found her way into ecomm & campaigns, working her way up and across the world! Today, Silvia has taken all of her knowledge and rolled it into this fashion co-ordinator role which spans trend forecasting, input into seasonal designs, photoshoot creative direction and styling.
