Regina Hodits, who I have known for many years, spent 15 years at Wellington Partners before joining Angelini Ventures in 2025. The corporate venture fund now manages close to €500M, and its first exit, Noctrix Health, sold to ResMed for $340M in June.We talked about Forbion, Jeito and Sofinnova’s mega-funds, why Europe still needs more institutional money for biotech, and why “spray and pray” doesn’t work at the Series A and B levels of investing. We also covered the “red hot” rare-disease segment, and why her biotech hero is Nobel laureate Sir Gregory Winter.
