I want to share a hack with you that I have been super consistent with over the past few months and that is a product I use from Organifi called Organifi Red. It is 100% organic and contains 13 superfoods in powder form.
I don’t know if you’ll remember this, but during my mold detox, I was consuming pomegranate powder daily for detox support. I love Organifi Red because it has pomegranate powder in it for my daily dose and things like Cordyceps, Rhodiola, cranberry, and ginseng. It’s caffeine-free while being energizing, which is a major plus for most of us.
Every morning I put a scoop in my smoothie or a glass of water and it gives me a dose of herbs, medicinal mushrooms, and a comprehensive berry blend. It’s really yummy, it contains zero crap and it has definitely become a go-to product for me. | 043: How the Texas Winter Storm Changed How We're Preparing For Disaster | 16 Mar 2021 | 01:03:13
If you lost power, water, and cell phone service, and all gas stations and grocery stores were closed, how long could you survive?
A snowstorm took over Texas in February and shut nearly everything down. Austin and I lost power, heat, and cell phone service for nearly an entire week and our surrounding communities had to rally together to pull through. The winter storm really made us all evaluate how we’re preparing for disaster moving forward and how passionately we feel that everyone should do the same.
We were fortunate enough to have our friends Jake Grosek and Allegra Moet Brantley nearby to brave the storm with and today they are joining Austin and me to talk all about it. We dive into what the storm was like, how we’re preparing for disaster in the future, and our advice for those who don’t have a prep plan.

I am so excited to share my love for Organifi with you all. You know that quality is incredibly important to me and Organifi is so thoughtful in their ingredients, dosing, and in the products they create and they're now supporting this show.
I am addicted to Organifi Gold which is 100% organic. I mix a scoop with warm coconut milk and collagen before bed to support my blood sugar while sleeping, but also to help me wind down. It reminds me of an Ayurvedic golden milk which is traditionally sipped on as a sleep tonic. Gold has lemon balm, magnesium, Reishi, which are all known to aid sleep, and it also contains warming herbs like turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and tastes so good. I look forward to this concoction every night after dinner.
I also love the Organifi Red powder and add it as an antioxidant boost to my smoothie each morning. If you want to try it out, which I definitely would recommend, you can go to www.organifi.com/carly and use code “Carly” for 15% off all products.

| 033: Do You Have Parasites? How To Test For and Treat Them with Dr. Jessica Peatross a certified Gerson Practitioner | 05 Jan 2021 | 00:55:51 | |
About 70% of people have parasites living in their body today. Are you one of them?
There’s a misconception that parasites are only found in developing countries or exotic places. The truth is that parasites are everywhere. They are on the food you buy at the grocery store, on your pets, and in the lakes and rivers you splash around in during the summer. Even though they are so prevalent, most people have no idea they are living with them.
Today Dr. Jessica Peatross - board-certified hospitalist turned functional medicine leader - joins us to discuss these stealthy infections. Dr. Jess is a true visionary for the future of healthcare and is committed to uncovering the root causes of the diseases people are living with. Her approach to medicine is both inspiring and encouraging and I know you're going to learn so much from this episode.
Stay tuned as we dive into what exactly parasites are, the most common symptoms that hint at them and protocols for parasite testing and cleansing.
Enjoy! Episode Highlights:
Links and Resources:
Guest Bio:
Dr. Jess is a former hospitalist, internal medicine based medical doctor and a certified Gerson Practitioner. She is an expert in the areas of stealth infections, environmental toxicity, regenerative medicine, ozone, and cannabis. Her passion lies in uncovering the mystery behind the chronic illness, whether that be stealth infections, heavy metals, stress/trauma or other environmental toxicities. There are real, root cause answers for WHY the body might be malfunctioning.
Trained in medicine at the University of Louisville, Dr. Jess experienced what many of her patients experienced: deep anxiety, hormonal imbalances, and adrenal dysfunction. She sought answers to uncover the root cause of disease – something she thought she had learned in medical school.
After working as an M.D. in a hospital for 6 years, Dr. Jess realized that she needed to investigate alternatives to today’s modern medical industry, which “treats every ill with a pill.” She became trained in Gerson Therapy, functional medicine, nutrigenomics, and ozone in her efforts to help her patients with chronic disease solutions. She now is an expert in the field of Lyme, parasites and the health hazards of mold. She is an international keynote speaker with her own former line of Dr Jess products.
Recently Dr. Jess made the choice not to continue her board certification with the AMA as she no longer practices pharmaceutical-based medicine and is able to get to the root cause TO HEAL people without the need for narcotics, immunosuppressants, antidepressants, antibiotics, or steroids.

We first heard about Ayahuasca a few years ago from our dear friend Mansal Denton, who joins Austin and me to talk more about it. Tune in to hear about our unique experiences at a 3-day Ayahuasca retreat, how the ceremony changed our lives, and tips for people who are considering trying Ayahuasca. Episode Highlights:

Conventional farming plays a huge role in the most significant global crises we’re facing today, including climate change, food scarcity, and human health decline. Now, I’m not a farmer, and I know very little about farming, but this episode is so important because not only is it extremely educational, it shows there is a solution that can change the trajectory we’re on.
Robby Sansom, CEO of Force of Nature Meats, joins us to talk about the harmful effects of conventional agriculture, what regenerative agriculture is and the benefits it has for us and future generations, as well as things you can do as a consumer to make better-informed choices about the food you eat. | 009: Discovering Environmental Toxins and Creating a Non-Toxic Home with Lara Adler | 21 Jul 2020 | 01:00:15
Environmental toxins are an invisible threat to our health found in household items we use every single day.
There are more than 84,000 chemicals approved for use in the United States, and nearly 99% of people, when tested, show contamination with several harmful toxins. In my health journey, toxins were the last piece of the puzzle I discovered after diet, lifestyle, movement, and sleep. But once I started learning more about environmental toxins, it was eye opening to realize just how many we encounter on a daily basis and the impact they have on our bodies.
In this episode, Lara Adler, Environmental Toxins Expert and Holistic Health Coach, joins us to talk about the most common sources of toxin exposure, how to create a non-toxic environment in your home and the truth about regulatory measures in the US, and why it’s so important to be an informed citizen. | 008: A Different Approach to Anxiety and Antidepressants + Rising Suicide Rates with Dr. Ellen Vora | 14 Jul 2020 | 00:58:30
1 in 10 Americans are on antidepressants, a number that has increased by 400% between 1988 and 2008.
When I saw these numbers I was shocked. I’ve seen people around me get prescribed antidepressants without any mention of potential risk, side effects, or the importance of seeking help when going off these types of medications.
In this episode, I talk to Dr. Ellen Vora about a holistic approach to mental health. We discuss how to manage anxiety, true informed consent for antidepressants, as well as her take on the rising suicide rates in the United States.
If you are triggered by discussions around anxiety, depression, psychiatric medication, or suicide, then this episode may not be for you. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, please call 1(800)273-TALK for support. Episode Highlights:
