Adam and Brent get into Zack Snyder's audacious yet messy 2011 action film 'Sucker Punch'! They break down what works about it and what doesn't, where the disconnect might be for fully hitting on all cylinders, and what it means to make 'commentary about geek culture' and the inherent irony in doing so! They also praise Oscar Isaac for bringing a ton of integrity to a role that doesn't really call for it. It's a great breakdown of a real mixed bag of a movie and the guys had a good time getting into it!

Join Adam and Brent on the final episode of Season 2, as they continue to be on the run from Dennis, going bunker to attic to bunker, trying to find a place to record. Everything comes to a head on this episode, but before that, they are joined in another undisclosed location by their friend John Casares and Brent’s wife Amy. They talk the final Refn film of the season, ‘The Neon Demon’ and get into the many possibly metaphors in the movie, as well as talk at length about how different people view and interpret film. It’s a bit of a deeper dive into movies in general than the fellas usually go, but it makes for a great final episode of the season, so enjoy and tell your friends about the podcast!

On the penultimate episode of Director Showdown, Brent and Adam are joined by their penultimate Stickerfridge friend David, for a deep dive into the 1993 film ‘Dazed and Confused’. The guys are doing their best to avoid Dennis at all costs, and have found a bunker to watch the film and record in. David brings a ton of fascinating trivia to the table this episode, as the guys talk about the origins of McConaughey, Adam Goldberg (the Hebrew Hammer) and plenty more. There are a few technical hiccups this episode, which I hope you guys can look past. Brian tells the guys which director he prefers, they talk about their personal history with the movie, and how different (and mainstream) it is from Linklater’s other films. We had a few technical difficulties this week, hence Brent and Brian sharing a mic, and a (hopefully not too annoying) buzz during the podcast.
