The podcast is back and we’re joined by TSHA! We dive into her whirlwind year of touring, her incredibly busy season in Ibiza and talk about how she stays grounded amidst the chaos of a busy schedule. TSHA also opens up about her second album Sad Girl, which is soooo good, a deeply personal album influenced by her teenage years.

Drunken Kong: What’s the dance music scene like in Japan?
mardi 14 novembre 2023 • Durée 48:35
Discovering what the dance music scene is like in other parts of the world is something that fascinates me. And when it’s somewhere as exciting as Japan, it fascinates me even more. And honestly, I don’t think there is a better duo to tell the story than Tokyo based techno duo, Drunken Kong. Recently releasing on Drumcode and playing Ultra Tokyo a couple of months ago, Kyoko and D have been making waves, representing Japan in the techno scene throughout the globe. Digging deep into the story behind the Womb residents, I find out more about what the scene is currently like in Japan, how it has grown and where it is heading.
Indira Paganotto: When your dreams come true… What’s next?
mardi 7 novembre 2023 • Durée 42:41
After playing in over 4 continents, 92 cities and 29 countries in 2023, headlining over 40 festivals globally including Kappa, EXIT, Monegros, Sonus, Extrema, DGTL and Time Warp as well as all major clubs and venues around the world, curating her own nights at Amnesia Ibiza, playing Tomorrowland Main Stage and so much more, two questions come to mind for Indira Paganotto: One, how do you feel after the biggest year of your career so far and two, what's next?
Becoming one of the most in-demand artists in the world in such a short period of time, I sat down with the queen of Psytechno to talk about how she has dealt with her rapid growth to fame, how non-stop hard work, passion and being true to yourself will take you to wherever you want to go, appreciating the small things in life and the love she has for the community that she has created.
A story told from the heart.
Video filmed by Joao Rodriguez.
ADE directors Meindert Kennis and Jan-Willem Van de Ven: What not to miss at ADE 2023
vendredi 13 octobre 2023 • Durée 23:59
ADE (my favourite event of the year) has grown into the world’s largest and most influential club-based festival and conference for electronic music, featuring over 2,900 artists taking part in over 1000 events across 200+ venues throughout the city, welcoming around half a million visitors to the city.
With only a few days left until the 28th edition, I had a quick chat with ADE directors Meindert Kennis and Jan-Willem Van de Ven about this year's hot topics, how the conference has grown since it began in 1996, their personal favourite parts of the conference, tips if it's your first time at ADE and of course... the weather over the next few days in the Dutch capital!

Emma Chambers - Techno to Tennessee, PR and the blurred lines between working and socialising in the music industry
mercredi 4 octobre 2023 • Durée 53:54
Is going to events an essential part of your role in the music industry? How do you balance your professional and social life when a lot of our jobs consist of going to clubs and festivals? As a PR, how much time do you need to spend with your artists?
Emma Chambers is the Founder of Acrylic Artists, a global PR company based in the UK that specialises in the promotion of electronic music for artists, labels, clubs and events via online and print media. She worked in the city of London as an Executive and Personal Assistant for private clients and companies, for 8 years before changing her career path after travelling abroad and becoming integrated within the music world, following a passion for underground dance music since her early 20’s.
Formerly known as So Dark Its Light in the early days, she re-branded the company 4 years ago to Acrylic Artists, and she has been working in music PR now for 8 years. The agency has seen a steady growth in its client list, always sourced by word of mouth through client recommendations and today has worked with names including EXHALE, Anfisa Letyago, Farrago, Fatboy Slim, Eats Everything, Dubfire, Loveland Festival, Pan-Pot, Anja Schneider, wAFF and a whole lot more.
In this podcast we talk all about the importance of being at events to stay relevant, the most difficult part of PR, pitching to media outlets, having a story to tell as an artist, networking, Emma's love affair with country and gherkins. Yep, a random one but a fun one! (we could have chatted for hours but Emma's postman kept knocking on her door).
Leticia van Riel - Managing headline acts ANNA, Sama’ Abduhadi and Victor Ruiz
jeudi 28 septembre 2023 • Durée 40:16
Behind every successful artist is a team of hard working, passionate people, that put everything they’ve got into growing their artist’s career. And Leticia is proof of that. From starting to manager ANNA when she was just starting out, to together, as a team, building ANNA’s career to what it is today, Leticia’s passion, persistence, support and talent, took her to leaving agency life and starting her own company, LvR Management, where besides ANNA, she now also manages headline acts, Sama’ Abduhadi and Victor Ruiz. Drawing from her industry knowledge and experience, she also launched LvR Mentoring Program for Artists, where she mentors and guides upcoming DJs how to advance their careers. Leticia’s hard work over the years has positioned her as one of the most respected managers in the game, so it was so insightful to talk to her about her journey so far, challenges she’s come across including reaching burnout, the transition from agent to manager, and what her role consists of to make her artists grow and stay at the top.
Leticia is launching a FREE course which you can find more info on here:
Set across three days from October 3-5, the Inside The Electronic Music Industry event will unveil the three key pillars to building a successful career in music’s competitive and often over-saturated space. The pillars will be approached in three different classes across the three-day event, giving participants exclusive insight into the content covered during LvR’s extensive mentoring program.
Day 1: Social Media – Increasing your visibility in the market.
Day 2: Networking – The secrets of approaching industry contacts.
Day 3: Creating Opportunities - how to boost your artist career.
Following the online event, LvR will then cherry-pick forty of the most promising talents from their application process to join the official mentoring programme, which begins at the end of October.

Nooriyah
jeudi 29 juin 2023 • Durée 42:48
Originally from Saudi Arabia but now living in London, the incredibly talented Nooriyah has been making waves over the last few years with her unique style of mixing Middle Eastern and North African music with popular records, Trap music, and old-time classics. Her insane Boileroom was the first Southwest Asian and North African Boileroom lineup in UK history and has had over 1 million views already, she’s also a radio host, pushing Middle Eastern/North African sound on the UK airwaves, she was one of Mixmag's Breakthrough DJs of 2022, and has recently hosted her own stage at Glastonbury with her brand Middle Of Nowhere. She is literally on fire right now, and I’m just so grateful that she’s on the show to talk about how she started out, the music she grew up around, how the music scene is growing in the Middle East and so much more.

Elizabeth Cyprian
samedi 10 juin 2023 • Durée 59:51
For Elizabeth Cyprian the answer is simple: the success of a brand is dependent upon each department correlating while it creates, nurtures and maintains a distinctive identity. Everything ties back to the ethos and origin. For 10+ years she has been putting this statement to the test. What started as a dancefloor chat led to a career in the event management and dance music industry. For six years she held a variety of positions with The BPM Festival including Talent Buyer, Project Manager, Marketing, PR and Ticketing/Box Office logistics. Ever since ending her time with BPM she’s held her current position with Macorma Artist Management as the Brand Manager for EXHALE by Amelie Lens. Elizabeth has overseen the brand sell out festivals & clubs around Europe including Awakenings Festival (Amsterdam), Printworks (London), EXHALE’s own marquee production in Belgium (Antwerp) and their first month-long residency at DC-10 (Ibiza). What started as Amelie’s passion project has quickly turned into a global community spanning more than 52 countries. With rapid growth and dedication, Elizabeth keeps on with the belief of her own origin: personal success is about holding true to the character of the brand or company you work for, but also to yourself.
