Dan McPherson, Host of the extremely inspiring “Dreams Are Real” Podcast and Founder of Leaders Must Lead shares his incredible and at times very myronic stories which include how a friend saved Dan from suicide when he was 16 thanks to her persistency which then later in life he helped that same person during one of her darkest days; how when the company he worked for closed suddenly ended up being the greatest blessing and saved his wife’s life; how his martial art’s teacher mentioned he should listen to a podcast which ended up being a major catalyst unbeknownst to him at the time and is partly why he is now doing what he is doing now…the stories shared in this episode will pull at your heart strings and cause you to also hopefully belly laugh because when you hear how he broke his shoulder playing ping pong…that is correct playing ping pong!! Co-Host Alysha Myronuk received her Bachelor’s in Hotel Restaurant Management which she always loved the service industry after growing up with her dad being a commercial airline pilot. From an early age she had wonderful opportunities to travel with her family since that was the best perk of that business. She was also very fortunate to be brought up with the understanding of soulmate love thanks to the beautiful example of her mom and dad and to this day is very intuitive in recognizing that connection within other relationships.

Co-Host Todd J. Courtney was raised in San Jose, CA. where he spent the past 30 years as a business owner. During that time, he was teaching what Wallace D. Wattles calls “thinking stuff” to business offices. While raising three kids and teaching them the same techniques, he realized his passion lies with helping our youth understand that they too can create the life they truly dream of.

It wasn’t long before Todd realized why most of our youth get trapped in the same cycles as their parents. Next Saturday August 21^st will be the 1 year anniversary for “That’s Myrony” Podcast so I thought it would be fun to take a quick trip down memory or more like myrony lane of what this year has brought and also share 3 episodes I want to highlight that I feel had the most unbelievable myronies. Actually all my guests have shared such incredible stories but these three in particular I feel are so amazing they are actually hard to believe unless you listen for yourself!! 

The first is episode 53 with Autism Mom Mentor, Heidi Rome. She is also the bestselling author for her book “You Just Have to Love Me” which is what her non-verbal son, Ethan shared with her at the age of only 11. 

My number 2 suggestion is Episode 28 with TEDx International Speaker, Author & Leadership Mentor Dave Sanderson where he shares his experience and the divine myronies that happened during that fateful day when the plane crash now known as “Miracle on the Hudson” happened. 

My final recommendation is Episode 6 which is the story about how my godparents chance meeting at a wedding somehow saved 5 peoples lives in the Bermuda Triangle. If that is not enough of a hook to be like “wait, what?! I definitely need to hear this!!” than I don’t know what is because I still think this is the craziest myronic story shared so far!!

Alice Santos, originally from Lisbon, Portugal shares how she was a finalist for a modeling contest for one of the biggest agencies in Portugal which she then moved to London to look for other agencies myronically right as the pandemic happened which then had her move back to Lisbon soon after. Corey Glover is an American singer, guitarist, and actor. He is the lead vocalist of the rock band Living Colour and has toured as the vocalist for the funk band, Galactic. As an actor, he played Francis in the 1986 war movie Platoon. Glover was born in Brooklyn, New York City. He was an aspiring actor when guitarist Vernon Reid drafted him into Living Colour in 1985, reportedly after seeing Glover singing "Happy Birthday” at a friend's party.

Living Colour found immediate success with the release of their debut album, “Vivid” in 1988. It eventually went platinum in April 1989 and again five years later.[5] The album's single "Cult of Personality" won the 1989 Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance and the band was named “Best New Artist” at the MTV Video Music Awards.  Living Colour released two more albums (Time’s Up and Stain) before splitting up in 1995. After the split, Glover started a solo career as Reverend Daddy Love and formed the band Vice with guitarist Mike Ciro.

In 1995, Glover participated with an ensemble of notable vocalists, guitarists, bassists, and drummers, including the London Metropolitan Orchestra, to record a Jimi Hendrix tribute album named In From The Storm. Glover provided the vocals for tracks 7 and 8, which were In From The Storm (title track) and Drifting.[6]

Living Colour reunited on December 21, 2000 at CBGB’s during a set by Will Calhoun and Doug Wimbish’s live drum ‘n’ base duo, Headfake. Glover guested on three songs, and Vernon Reid joined them three songs into the set.[7] The reunion was followed by the release of the band's fourth studio album Collideøscope in October 2003.

In August 2006, Glover began co-headlining a national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar playing the role of Judas Iscariot opposite Ted Neeley. He took the place of singer Carl Anderson who had played Judas since 1971 alongside Neeley and was set to reprise the role, but had died of leukemia in 2004. The tour ran through 2010. Glover told Neeley that when he was a child, seeing the movie version of the show was what made him decide to be an entertainer. In June 2008, Glover left the show to rejoin with Living Colour and to work on the next CD.

Thanks to the magic of divine design at it yet again, Michelle Bateman and I met apparently at the time we were meant to thanks to our mutual friend, DeeAnne Riendeau (Ep. 64) speaking at a virtual networking event based in Canada. During this same event, DeeAnne, Michelle and I were the only ones in the first of two breakout sessions, so since Michelle and I both new DeeAnne, we then had a little more time to connect, and Michelle told me she had a very myronic story of how she met Travis Belanger. After leaving Dow Corning Corp., Elizabeth volunteered in her children’s schools, leading science and reading programs. She joined Gearhart Law as a technical advisor in 2006 and later became a patent agent.

Elizabeth got her Ph.D. from The University of Colorado in Analytical Chemistry in 1989. Her work involved developing instruments for detecting pollutants in the environment. During this time, she developed a deep knowledge of environmental and analytical chemistry, and learned mechanical skills by building, repairing and maintaining scientific instruments. She also further developed her technical writing skills.

She started her company Gearhart Innovations in 2006, to manufacture and sell specialty women’s fashion based on her patent. In 2009, she left the world of retail to return to a field she truly enjoyed, that of science, focusing on further developing her patent knowledge and skills.

After the door from the security of Melissa Deally’s corporate job closed due to being let go, it ended up being a wonderful gift because it led Melissa to learn about brain supplementation which was a huge help after both her daughters received concussions within two months of each other!! Daniel Kottke met Steve Jobs during the first couple of weeks while at Reed College. They became friends after Kottke introduced Jobs to spirituality which later included them going to India in search of enlightenment. Kottke shares how he was Apple’s first part-time employee, worked in the now infamous garage of Jobs’ parents and the early history behind Apple. In this episode we get to hear the true story about Jobs and the early years of Apple from another perspective and it is fascinating!! Another big myrony is how Daniel and Alysha met from two chance meetings which the latest one was thanks to last week’s guest Ernest White II. As we know there are no coincidences so was their meeting so he could share his story here? Kottke was a friend of Steve Jobs at Reed College, where their shared interest in eastern spirituality led them to make a 4-month journey to india in 1974. 

Daniel built Apple-1’s in the Jobs garage in 1976, worked on the Apple II production line 1977-8, built prototypes of the Apple-III 1979-80, built prototypes of the Mac 1981-84 and was a contributing engineer to the original Macintosh128.

He worked at a dozen start-ups in the years 1985-2008 before focusing more on real estate since 2009. Hosted and produced the local cable show The Next Step 2005-2012 - shows on themes mostly related to consciousness or culture. 

Still involved in real estate but in recent years very focused on creating smart-home solutions for the multi-tenant and elder-care sectors.

Darleen Wong is truly an inspiration by taking a stand as the feminist messenger for women in Quebec because did you know there is no protection for women of abuse? Did you know that if the abuser was arrested that arrest is not included in the family court system, so these children are still in their abusive care? Did you know Quebec says there is no systemic violence? If you said no to any or I am going to guess ALL of these questions, then you NEED to hear this UNBELIEVABLE story of how abused women are not only stuck in this never-ending cycle run by the government like a business but even worse women are being put in jail or just go missing. My guest this week, Tammy Ward shares her myronies about how she went from being a ballet dancer/teacher to then become a police officer only because she was told she would never pass the test. Tammy did not like being told she couldn’t do something so she simply proved she could and eventually ended up as Sergeant in her 25-year career. Tammy said her strengths to help control situations mentally and not physically ended up being her greatest gift which one unbelievable story she shares is how that helped her as she tells her story about an arrest that was not going well and includes the Hells Angels, so wait until you hear what happened!!

Later after much tragic loss, Tammy finally left the police department and started her TLW Yoga Studio in 2016 where she likes to incorporate in some of her yoga sessions to also focus on mental wellness and trauma which Tammy likes to describe herself as not a survivor of her circumstances because that means she was once a victim and prefers to say she is thriving. She also connects to her spiritual side with her gifts of intuitiveness, reading people but also her unique connection to animals that literally makes her sound like a modern-day Snow White!!

Marc Canter is a software entrepreneur, who co-founded MacroMind (in 1984 in Chicago), which became Macromedia [MACR.] Because of Marc's tireless work, enthusiastic evangelism and creative leadership - Marc is known as "one of the fathers of multimedia."

After Macromedia Marc created an Interactive Music Video Band (MediaBand) w/Todd Rungren, created an Interactive TV Talk Show and a venue based Operating system (MediaBar) all leading up to "the Internet." At that time Marc's product Director - was directly responsible for creating 85% of the world's multimedia and generating 100,000's of digital media jobs and production entities.

Marc focused on broadband solutions during the early days of the Internet - traveling to London, Amsterdam, Japan and Italy, building "Interactive TV" systems and Digital City prototypes - all leading up to the development of a "white labeled Social Networking" platform (called PeopleAggregator) which he utilized to build 27 different social networks - between '03-'09. The 00's also had Marc getting heavily involved in the rights of User's to their Data and a group called "the Identity Gang."

In '09 Marc picked up his family and moved to Cleveland, after having lived and worked in the SF/Bay Area for 27 years. Marc created an "economic development" platform (called "the Digital City Project") which he took out on the road to Amsterdam, Kuala Lampur, Jamaica, Tampa, FL, Kansas City and other cities. Marc's family then moved to Charlotte, NC - where he started yet ANOTHER startup, which originally focused on IoT Authoring tools, but pivoted into an entirely new kind of Messaging App - called Cola.

For the next couple of episodes, I have decided to dive deeper into my story that I first shared in episode 1 but now include my greater spiritual connection which ended up being the catalyst to changing my view on life forever and also discovering myrony! About the Hosts:

Co-Host Alysha Myronuk received her Bachelor’s in Hotel Restaurant Management which she always loved the service industry after growing up with her dad being a commercial airline pilot. From an early age she had wonderful opportunities to travel with her family since that was the best perk of that business. She was also very fortunate to be brought up with the understanding of soulmate love thanks to the beautiful example of her mom and dad and to this day is very intuitive in recognizing that connection within other relationships.

Co-Host Todd J. Courtney was raised in San Jose, CA. where he spent the past 30 years as a business owner. During that time, he was teaching what Wallace D. Wattles calls “thinking stuff” to business offices. While raising three kids and teaching them the same techniques, he realized his passion lies with helping our youth understand that they too can create the life they truly dream of.

It wasn’t long before Todd realized why most of our youth get trapped in the same cycles as their parents. After researching the teen and young adult market, it seemed a lot more work needed to be done to help our youth during this time of a rapidly changing world. When I meet someone who really and I mean REALLY gets myrony, I am a like a kid in a candy shop and let me tell you, this week’s AMAZING guest, Corey Poirier absolutely does because he recognizes the biggest piece that moves it from a synchronicity to MYRONY is the action that needs to be taken!! Only because Corey was constantly in motion with what he was putting out there to manifest and make happen is how he has connected with some of the biggest thought leaders in the world like Jack Canfield, Les Brown, Lisa Nichols and Bob Proctor (just to name a few) , which then led him to create his bLU Talks Speaking Events/Books (Think Tedx Talks + Spirituality) and is even doing a documentary project with James Redfield of the Celestine Prophecy which as I mention in Ep. 58 was how I described my experience back in May ’15 so if that’s not myronic I don’t know what is?!

Kenya Gipson also known as “Coach Kenya” somehow knew since she was 5 years old how she was going to work in radio, how she was going to work in New York and also be one of the biggest talk radio personalities in the country which some may ask how did she know that then?! Alysha reconnected in San Jose with her godparents after 30+ years.  Although close to them when they all lived on the East Coast, Alysha lost contact with her godparents when they moved to California. When they reconnected last year for a family dinner while Alysha’s brother was visiting from the East Coast which ended up falling on the 15^th anniversary of her dad’s passing, Alysha heard their beautiful soulmate story. But what makes this so unbelievable is that it was due to a chance meeting at a wedding that neither of her godparents wanted to attend that somehow saved 5 people’s lives in the Bermuda Triangle!! You do not want to miss this story that’s truly a myrony miracle!!

Jon and Carolyn have been married for 53 wonderful years. During Carolyn’s short time as a flight attendant living in NYC, she flew with Alysha’s parents’ good friend who was a pilot like her dad. He invited her and Jon out to the small town of Sparta, NJ. Sparta was a unique community where many pilots and their families lived. They ended up falling in love with this quaint little town. Within a week of moving to Sparta, Jon who was also now an airline pilot and Carolyn met both Alysha’s mom, Sandy & her dad, Jack. Carolyn felt an immediate soul connection with Alysha’s mom, and from that moment on they had a relationship more like sisters. That’s why they were asked to be the godparents of Alysha and her brother. They eventually moved to Connecticut where they lived for 20 years before making the big move to St. Helena, California. They now live in San Jose which is how Alysha reconnected with her godparents myronically by the same pilot friend who invited them to Sparta so many years ago when Carolyn heard of Sandy’s unexpected passing. Jon and Carolyn are thrilled to live nearby their son, daughter, their spouses and 4 incredible grandchildren.
