Take a dive into our picks from the 1990's. These are some of the under appreciated and nearly vintage watches that deserve a bit more attention. Some are starting to shoot up in value and they are definitely off the beaten track and into the world of different and quirky. Alex cheated and didn't follow the rules which is not surprising.

A couple of European guys from the global fifthwrist-family meet to talk watches - this time not necessarily peaceful ... 19 Feb 2021 | Popcorn - Got Rice Beast? Ft @Photomonk3y | 02:25:44
NSFW!!! NSFW!!! NSFW!!! Okay we warned you.
Fifth Wrist Presents Popcorn…The Podcast! Your fix of pop culture and watches! This week, Charith (@charithsir), Sidd (@sidd.pad) and the man with the largest sneaker rotation Paul (@photomonk3y) are talking some real trash.
This episode has strong language, strong takes...look its just strong.
Is Sidd a real Liverpool supporter? Is Wonder Woman a terrible person? Is it reasonable to buy a pair of shoes to only wear it once every 20 months? Did the PacMan take steroids? Is there workplace bullying in the Casio factory? Is killing people illegal if you are a landlord and your tenants have not paid their rent? Who is Phil Collins?
They ask ALL of the hard hitting questions!
They talk about Paul's experience in the world of fashion photography, what watches are worn on fashion week and the hilarious going on's in the G Shock factory in Japan.
There's a rundown from some of the malarkey within the Golden Globe nominations and the epic performance in the Super Bowl.
The boys then celebrate the Year of the Ox by drafting the Greatest Asian Sportspeople of all time! If you didn't know Montblanc brand ambassador Lin Dan before this, you'll be singing his praises afterwards. GOAT...that's all.
Drinking game recommendations:
- Every time anyone says: "We should edit that" or "I'll edit that"
- Every time Paul swears
- Every time Sidd says: "I haven't seen that", "Oh my god" or "I'm not touching that"
- Every time Charith says: "I don't know where to go with that" or "Where are you going with this?"

After years of reviewing watches of numerous brands Jody partnered with Steven and decided to back up his years of reviews and his moans and niggles of what watches should have and what they should cost by starting his own brand and speccing the watches the way he has demanded they should have been specced for years.

We then learn the origins of Joe's top hat logo, his thoughts on how leadership has changed in the past year, and how leading from home has changed his watch choices. Diving into Joe's watch box, we hear the stories behind his Royal Oaks, learn more about his passion for Grand Seiko, and discover the reasons behind his decision to aim to collect the original version of many watches. We then discuss other approaches to collecting that he has learned about through chatting with collectors at Redbar Taiwan and on his podcast (see Biaoist.com). We then briefly dive into the Mandarin watch media, watch collecting in Taiwan, and how he decided to found Redbar Taiwan. We conclude with a discussion of how our listeners can learn more about watch content from the Mandarin-speaking world.

05 Mar 2021 | DTS - Rowing and watches with Teesaan. | 01:48:32
Welcome to another episode of The Defining Time Show on FifthWrist Radio. This week we Anthony (@defining_time) and The Podfather and visionary genius himself (@thewatchregulator), chat to one of Fifth Wrist's OG fans who openly talks about how he listens to our podcasts in the bath, with a candle and a stiff drink. Teesaan is an integral part of the Melbourne watch community and a massive watch lover. His collection is anything from vintage Heuer to the latest and greatest from Bell and Ross, as well as a watch shared with a group of mates. We go deep into his watch collection from its routes to the price limits he puts on watches and items in general. Teesaan is a great storyteller, he goes into how important family is from travelling to New York with his eldest daughter, cherishing the drives he goes on with his son in his vintage 911 and his favourite rowing memories.
This episode was recorded on Christmas Eve 2020, what a shitty year that was. Anthony did say that it would be Christmas in July 2021 when this episode would air but thankfully it has come out sooner.
Hope you enjoy this episode! Many thanks to Teesaan for joining us on the podcast today!

29 Apr 2021 | Loose Screws - Wife Time with Renee | 01:00:48
Welcome to the Loose Screws podcast on Fifth Wrist radio. I'm your host Bob(@brownsvillewatchguy) and on this episode my guest is my lovely wife Renee. It all started one night after a long day and some Vodka Tamarind that we decided to go downstairs and record an impromptu episode. Renee shares her start in watches, speaks her mind on Tag, Cartier, brand ambassadors, and Formula 1. It was definitely an interesting episode and hearing an “outsiders” perspective regarding this crazy watch hobby really shed a light on what “normal” folks think. All comments made are my guests and my own and does not reflect the thoughts/views of all Fifth Wrist contributors or the community. We hope you enjoy this episode just as much as we did. 02 Apr 2021 | DTS - With Danny Goldsmith from Cellini Jewelers | 01:04:20
Welcome to another episode of The Defining Time Show on FifthWrist Radio. This week Anthony (@defining_time) is flying solo and so excited to talk one on one with a legend of the AD world, Mr Danny Goldsmith (@dannygoldsmith23) of Cellini Jewelers in New York City. While always a fan of watches it's only been in the last three years that he has been making dreams come true for watch enthusiasts the world over. Danny is different, he has a real and actual passion for helping people with their watch purchases. He lives and breathes the stuff like I've known no other AD Salesperson to do. Many of our "friends of the show" (actual people we've had on FWR) are no stranger to Danny, friends would be an understatement and I think it's relationships like this that make this hobby just that little bit more special. I ask Danny a series of questions that I've always wanted to ask him. Having personally not had great dealings with AD's, it was paramount for me to get to the bottom of how he differentiates himself from the rest and we discuss what other AD's need to do to lift the customer experience. Danny talk's about some of his own experiences with other AD's as well as sharing some great stories about his personal interactions with our favourite characters from the Indy world. I really enjoyed this conversation, Danny is a true gentleman and a great sport. I'd like to personally thank him for his time and openness. At the end of the conversation I say that "the world needs more Danny Goldsmith's", I'm sure you'll agree after listening.
Grab a whiskey if that's your thing, put on a tuxedo, sit in your most comfortable chair and journey with me to a conversation with a gentleman.

30 Apr 2021 | DTS - Does Rolex make these 3 watch collections? With Asher, Dustin, Danny & Brett! | 01:30:20
Welcome to another episode of The Defining Time Show on Fifth Wrist Radio. This week Anthony (@defining_time) is joined by some absolute legends of the community and friends of the show Danny (@dannygoldsmith23), Asher (@horologicallyinclined), Dustin (@normal.sinus.rhythm) and Brett (@tick_tock3940) for a game of "Who has the best three watch collection if we all had 30k USD to spend and you needed 1 Indy, 1 Mainstream and 1 Micro brand"!!! We start the conversation with some thoughts and opinions from Watches & Wonders now that a few weeks have past and the dust has settled. I knew we would get some strong statements from these lads and they did not disappoint. While the discussion about new releases could have gone on for hours, we soon got into what we all came to do. 3 watches each, 30k USD budget, 1 Indy, 1 Mainstream and 1 Micro. Snake style fantasy draft was the format but each person could choose their category as they went. It's safe to say that in the end, it probably wouldn't matter which collection you agree with. They were all very well thought out and made for a great battle with the real winners were the watches! Special mentions to our horological friends Habring2 (and Anthony didn't bring them up for once), Moser, Konstantin Chaykin & Ochs Und Junior just to mention a few. There is an extra few honourable mentions at the end which could have also made the collections. During the discussion we also learnt about Danny's new venture, Goldsmith and Complications. We wish Danny all success with the new business and if you haven't listened to his episode on Fifth Wrist Radio from a few weeks ago, please go back and listen! Anthony like to personally thank the four gents for coming onto the show, researching and putting the time into their collections. These battles are not easy and everyone did a great job. Grab a whiskey if that's your thing, put on a tuxedo, sit in your most comfortable chair and journey with us to a conversation with absolute watch nuts talking watches! What's Good! It's Episode 27 of Popcorn on FifthWrist Radio. This week Charith (@charithsir) and SIdd (@sidd.pad) are joined by Worn & Wound Associate Editor Zach Kazan (@zkazan)!
The guys get chatting with Zach who is a genuine watch and film buff about his passions, how he got into them and how he turned being an enthusiast to a profession working at Worn & Wound. Oh hey, they also throw in a Johnny English Watch Spot.
Then we have a Draft! 1999 is widely regarded as one of the truly great years in movie history so they go deep into it! The greatest movies of 1999, by genre! It's an absolute banger, throw in a trademark Sidd pick, an unfortunate Kevin Spacey mention and a whipped cream bikini. This one truly gets nerdy!
Zach also does his Deserted Island, one that actually has some thought behind it!

09 Apr 2021 | The European Gang Talks Watches | 02:09:43
Five enthusiasts from four countries, three(and a half) languages, two currencies and one passion. A couple of eager european guys from the global and glorious fifthwrist-family meet to talk watches. Yes, Loose Screws is back and so am I. It's been far too long but better late than never. Working from home, pandemic, family, etc just took a lot more of my time this 2021 than I expected.
