When you are starting out as a UGC newbie, one of the best pieces of advice I had was to find other creators on social media that you can learn from.

I found Anna Mongiello - the UGC Coach. With her years of experience, no-BS tips and generosity with sharing content, I was hooked.

Anna is a 36-year-old full-time UGC content creator and coach based in New Jersey, USA. Anna began her UGC journey in 2021 and since then has worked with over 600 clients, including brands like Pureology, L'Oreal, Motion, and IGK, just to name a few. Before discovering content creation Anna worked as an English as a Second Language Teacher, coached cross country and track, worked as a professional model.

Anna's TOP TIPS for UGC beginners:

1. Take action - don't get stuck in analysis paralysis.

2. Foster relationships with the brands from the beginning.

3. Treat UGC as a business - contracting, document your journey and outsource as you grow.

4. Get on social media.

5. The quickest way to get brand deals is on UGC apps.

I found Mia Steel on TikTok when I was "doom scrolling" and Mia made me feel like anything was possible. With her relatable and inspiring content in the "make money online" space, it has been epic to watch Mia break the 6-figure mark with digital marketing, affiliate marketing and UGC!

Mia, originally a paramedic and nurse, pivoted dramatically into the digital marketing arena after reevaluating her career path during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Hey there! I have a mantra "You are never too old and it's never too late" and starting UGC (user generated content) AND a podcast as a 53-year old fits well with that.

As of April 2024, I would rate myself as a "beginner" content creator when it comes to making UGC and what better way to learn the ins and outs than to speak to the experts!
