The Yankees are heading into the final week of the regular season with one massive question hanging over everything: how serious is Aaron Judge’s injury? Adam Weinrib breaks down the Yankees’ continued silence on the severity of Judge’s soleus issue, Aaron Boone’s revealing comments about his potential return and why protecting Judge has to matter more than chasing the Rays with the playoff seeding nearly settled.
Plus, the Yankees’ Wild Card rotation is beginning to line up and Gerrit Cole could potentially be on extra rest for Game 1 while Cam Schlittler would be on regular rest. Adam explains why the Yankees better not overthink that decision, reacts to fans threatening to boycott playoff games over the Judge situation, and reluctantly accepts that the Rays once again refused to make life easier by taking care of Boston.
