Shamayne Olivia is an author, speaker, and facilitator whose journey of reclaiming her authentic self has defined her life’s work. The eldest of four children, she carried adult responsibilities far too young, navigating the emotional needs of both siblings and parents. Refusing to be defined by these patterns, she chose a path of healing and transformation—breaking the generational cycle and guiding others to do the same with courage, hope, and resilience. She discovered profound insights and revelations that laid the groundwork for her business, Shoes That Fit Her Soul, LLC. The resources designed to help others reclaim their voices, rewrite their stories, and step boldly into lives of purpose include her teaching memoir, Shoes That Fit Her Soul, as well as the Shoes That Fit Her Soul workbook, digital workbook, and workshop. Shamayne lives in the Texas Hill Country, near Austin, with her generously supportive husband, Craig, and their two affectionate cats, Wrigley and Ivy.

Coffee Break with Tammy Euliano

Tammy Euliano’s writing is inspired by her day job as a physician, researcher and educator at University of Florida. She’s received numerous teaching awards, ~100,000 views of her YouTube teaching videos, and was featured in a calendar of women inventors. In addition to short fiction, including a 2025 Derringer award, she writes the Kate Downey medical thriller series including Fatal Intent (2021) and Misfire (2023) published by Oceanview. Kathy Reichs called it, “Medical suspense as sharp as it gets.”

Welcome to the Women Writing podcast. In this episode, I’m taking a coffee break with author Nora Gold.

Dr. Nora Gold is the prize-winning author of six books, as well as the founder and editor-in-chief of the prestigious online literary journal Jewish Fiction, which has published 650 stories never before published in English, that were originally written in 23 languages. Gold’s first book, Marrow and Other Stories, won a Vine Canadian Jewish Book Award and was praised by Alice Munro. Her second book, the novel Fields of Exile, won the inaugural Canadian Jewish Literary Award for best novel, and was acclaimed by Ruth Wisse and Irwin Cotler. Her novel The Dead Man received glowing reviews, including in the Los Angeles Review of Books, and won a Canada Council for the Arts translation grant. Her fourth book, 18: Jewish Stories Translated from 18 Languages, an anthology of translated works, was praised by Publishers Weekly, Cynthia Ozick, and Dara Horn; was a finalist for a Foreword Indies Award; and was featured in the New York Times Wirecutter in both 2023 and 2024 as a recommended Chanukah gift. Gold’s fifth book, In Sickness and In Health/Yom Kippur in a Gym (two novellas) received international acclaim, and was one of the five books that Hadassah Magazine chose to feature in Fall 2025. Her latest book, the novella , will be published on May 1st, and has already received rave advance reviews.Gold, who lives in Toronto, has received considerable media attention, and has appeared as a featured guest on podcasts and videocasts based in India, Australia, the United States, and Canada. She is active on social media, including Facebook and Instagram, and on LinkedIn she has over 100,000 followers.

Edwina Perkins serves as co-director of the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference, where she also coordinates Mentoring Moments and manages Sensitivity Between the Lines. As managing editor for Harambee Press, an imprint of End Game Press, she brings editorial expertise to diverse publishing projects. A long-term member of Word Weavers International, Edwina now serves on its advisory board. She has also served as Emerging Leader Coordinator with the Evangelical Christian Publishing Association (ECPA). An award-winning writer and experienced educator, Edwina works as a speaker, freelance editor, mentor, coach, and authenticity/sensitivity consultant. She teaches at conferences throughout the year and advocates for diverse voices in Christian fiction. She has been published in numerous magazines and anthologies.
