I interviewed my own AI: Amy Jo Martin's Live, Unscripted AI Experiment (Ep 346)
Season 10 · Episode 346
vendredi 30 janvier 2026 • Duration 25:39
Have you ever heard a human interview their own AI—live, unscripted, and in real time?
In this groundbreaking episode of the Why Not Now? podcast, Amy Jo Martin flips the script and welcomes a never-before-seen guest: her own ChatGPT AI, trained over years with millions of words of personal data, reflections, physiological metrics, and real-life context. The result is a raw, fascinating conversation that pulls listeners directly into the "petri dish" of a year-long AI integration experiment.
Together, Amy Jo and her AI thought partner explore what it actually looks like to collaborate with artificial intelligence beyond productivity hacks—using it as a mirror and a decision-support system. They unpack emerging patterns around identity, nervous system regulation, self-worth, and the hidden cost of always being "the one who figures it out."
The episode also reveals how Amy Jo uses multiple AI models — including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini — as a personal "AI board of directors" to pressure-test insights, surface alignment, and reduce bias.
You'll hear how AI can identify blind spots before you consciously notice them, help translate data into self-awareness, and support more intentional choices — without replacing human agency.
The conversation challenges common assumptions about AI collaboration and offers a simple prompt anyone can try today.
If you're curious about AI, personal growth, high performance, or the future of human–machine partnership, this episode is a must-listen — and a bold glimpse into what's possible when curiosity leads the way.

Quantified Soul: Week 1 Field Notes | Can AI Improve Quality of Life? (Ep 345)
Season 9 · Episode 345
lundi 12 janvier 2026 • Duration 37:14
Can AI improve your quality of life, not just your productivity?
Keynote speaker Amy Jo Martin explores leadership, AI, and human-centered decision-making. In this solo episode of the Why Not Now? Podcast, Amy shares early field notes from The Reinvention Experiment, a year-long AI self-experiment exploring vitality, clarity, and what it means to live well and lead effectively in an AI-driven world.
Rather than biohacking or performance optimization, Amy introduces the concept of Quantified Soul, combining hard data like sleep tracking, screen time, biometrics, and wearable data with qualitative inputs including journaling, emotional regulation, gratitude, and relationship check-ins.
Key insights include why "a wobble is data, not drama," how journaling with AI can help regulate the nervous system, and why cognitive load often creates more stress than conflict. Amy also breaks down what she's tracking, the AI prompts she uses daily, and how AI can surface blind spots instead of reinforcing existing narratives.
This episode is intentionally raw and unfinished. You're stepping inside the experiment itself and exploring how AI can support better decision-making, reflection, and long-term fulfillment, not just efficiency.

Episode 244: Samantha Ettus - Making Financial Independence Tangible
Season 5 · Episode 244
lundi 10 mai 2021 • Duration 48:11
If you leave the workforce for just two years, there's less than a 50% chance you'll ever get a full time position again. Samantha Ettus realized that, when mothers take time away from corporate America to have a baby, it's one of the most financially risky things they can do.
As a speaker, Samantha felt she could motivate a room full of women, but she couldn't offer them any opportunities. So she founded Park Place Payments: a flexible, work from anywhere credit card business that increases financial independence for populations that historically haven't had the opportunities to access it.
On this episode of Why Not Now?, Samantha tells Amy Jo how Park Place Payments injects more financially independent people into the world while also helping small businesses. Samantha also says she has been very intentional about choosing her investors, saving half of her cap table for women and people of color. She even found her last investor after pitching him on Clubhouse.
Amy Jo and Samantha also talk about work-life balance, intentional parenting, and Samantha's podcast What's Her Story which she co hosts with Amy Nelson to amplify women's stories. Samantha is a strong believer that, the more strong women you surround yourself with, the faster you can all rise.

Episode 243: the*gameHERS - Creating Inclusive Communities
Season 5 · Episode 243
samedi 1 mai 2021 • Duration 59:50
Heather Ouida, Laura Deutsch, Rebecca Dixon, and Verta Maloney founded the*gameHERs to give women who game a place to connect. Not one, but all four of the co-founders join Amy Jo on the show this week!
Heather, Laura, Rebecca, and Verta created the*gameHERs because, when they Googled a community for female gamers, nothing came up. They saw a need in the gaming space to amplify women. Almost half of gamers identify as women, but the speaking panels at most gaming conventions are dominated by men.

Heather, Laura, Rebecca, and Verta realized their work goes deeper than a service that makes life a little easier. the*gameHERs provides a community that has changed people's lives.
The co-founders also talk about the*gameHERs Awards, lessons they keep learning, the ups and downs of starting a business, and building a company that feels uniquely right to you.
