With the still party rattled by the previous evening's madness they continue on their scouting mission, it isn't long into the afternoon that Faedra spots something unusual - little do they know that what happens next makes the previous nights insanity seem sane.....

A simple encounter quickly takes a dramatic turn that shocks the party and a dark secret is revealed - will the party recover from this shocking act of senseless violence?

The new day begins with a story of hope from Faedra tying the threads of companionship a little tighter between the party and the other folk at Peppermill house. With common purpose established, the party decide to use the soldiers horses to scout further afield from the farmstead to look for supplies and possibly allies, leaving the soldiers behind to start preparing the camp for a coming ambush. As the fist day of scouting comes to a close, Tholandi is spotted peering over the crest of a hill..........

With a moment to take a breath and start to get to know the new people in the camp the party also finds some time to start to get to know each other a little more. Tholandi with his promise of protection of the refugees still in the caves, heads off to find them and bring them back to the farm knowing that Briygah and her troop were indeed at Pirn when it was sacked, a recepie for disaster - tune in and find out

More refugees arrive at the Peppermill farmstead seeking rest before continuing their hunt. As food, shelter, and information are traded around the fire, the fog of war begins to lift for the party. New details emerge surrounding Old Mercy, his band, and the brutal events unfolding across the region.

But the encounter also reveals something unexpected, a connection to Orek that may yet save his life.

The party assesses their situation after clashing with 'Old Mercy's' soldiers, essentially taking back the farmstead, but not for long. The brutality of their foes is revealed through the state of those that remained in the farm and they try to decide what to do next. The momentary reprieve from danger however is dashed once again, throwing them into incohesive chaos.

Creeping beneath the Peppermill Farmstead, having heard the main host of 'Old Mercy's' soldiers depart after torturing one poor soul, the party decides to investigate more closely. It isnt long before the companions are in the throws of deadly combat that reveals more than just the cut and thrust of chaotic combat.

The party explores deeper into the cave network, while taking care to avoid another encounter with more acid slugs. As they push on navigating through the caves making discoveries, there is one gruesome event the party bear witness to that reveals the true cruelty of 'Old Mercy' which will not easily be forgotten.

The party pushes deeper into the twisting cave system in search of a way out, hoping the tunnels might lead them back to safety. Instead, they stumble upon something lurking in the dark—slithering 'plopping' shapes that have no intention of letting them pass quietly. After a tense encounter, the group manages to escape, but their only path forward forces them even deeper into the sprawling cave network. The darkness ahead is growing thicker… and something else may be waiting.

Wounded and nearing collapse,, Tholandi finally finds uneasy rest in the cool shelter of the caves. Faedra and Kremlev push deeper into the tunnels but risk being left in total darkness as their torch light begins to splutter. Kaia's hunger and concern for the families inspires her to action, and with Kremlev's help a simple plan spirals into confusion and sharp words amongst the party.

Tholandi pursues a fleeing Dosmoyran scout in a desperate forest chase, only to be spotted by a larger detachment of soldiers. Bjorn stands guard at the cave entrance, uncertain of his companion’s fate, while inside the cavern tension rises between the sisters and Faedra and Kremlev explore deeper into the cave system.

Will the party survive the encroaching Dosmoyran soldiers — or awaken something far worse in the dark?

With a Dosmoyran detachment closing in, the party abandons the safety of the farm and disappears into the forest, hoping the trees will hide what the open road cannot.

But the wilds are no refuge for long.

As tension mounts and nerves fray, two Dosmoyran scouts strike from the shadows, forcing the party into a sudden, violent confrontation with no time to prepare — and no clear way out.

Will they silence the scouts before word can be carried back… or will this encounter be the spark that brings the full weight of the detachment down upon them?

With danger closing fast, the party scatters the camp into the forest as mounted troops ride into the farmstead. Troops start to search the area forcing the group to move before the net tightens. Tholandi leads the group toward the caves they discovered in the hope they will provide refuge—an uncertain path born of desperation.
