| 1:24 Scale RC Carnival Comp Rules for Horizon RC Fest | 01 Jun 2023 | 00:30:01 | |
Coming to Horizon RC Fest or Axialfest Badlands? Bring your SCX24s and AX24s to have some fun Carnival Comp'ing with us. Next weekend we'll be at Horizon RC Fest June 9-10 with One24Mop putting on a fun comp for 1/24th scale crawlers. At Axialfest Badlands we'll be using the same rules, but using the natural settings near the 1/24 course they setup because it's the perfect terrain. Because comps are not the main focus of either event, we've created some rules and 5 different classes to keep it easy for anyone to participate. It's different than we normally comp, but we've run them like this before and it's a lot of fun. The rules can be found on my website: https://www.ccxrc.com/1-24-carnival-comp-rules
Be sure to check out the mobile trailer. http://one24mop.com/

| Moving On & Smiling About RC Again | 19 Apr 2023 | 00:29:03 | |
Putting things from the past couple weeks to bed and moving on so I can find the joy in RC again. Running RCs puts a huge smile on my face again and that's what I'm looking to get back to. On top of that, I found that Kyosho release a Mini-z 4x4 Defender 90 that is beautiful and Gens Ace new D300 charger is amazing. Let's talk about it.

"What happened to the podcast? We love it. We want more episodes" - While My Batteries Charge Listeners. I have heard you loud and clear. Please know that the podcast isn't going away. I'm always shocked by how many people I meet in person always mention the podcast. It's crazy. Thank you for your patience. I'm working to reboot things around here and make more time for the podcast. Hopefully this one will help explain why there haven't been very many in 2023.

| 24th Scale RC Crawlers Are The New Model Train Hobby | 25 Jan 2023 | 00:50:10 | |
It's finally here! The episode I've been teasing for a while...how 24th scale RC crawlers are similar to what the hobby train scene was like many years ago. People are building courses in their house to run these mini crawlers. I had Jaysen's RC's on with me to discuss it. | Let’s RC In 2023! Hoping For Growth. | 05 Jan 2023 | 00:29:04
Happy New Year you RC Freaks! I'm super excited about the possibilities for 2023. It's nice to start with a clean slate and a clear mind for the year. My goal is to work harder to make my 2022 goals have even more of an impact on my personal RC journey–and that starts with learning to say "No." As a "helper" personality, that is hard for me to do. I like to say yes and help people, but I'm at the point where it's no longer helping people as I can't keep up. Letting people down really stresses me out and that really hurts my content and frame of mind–which isn't what I want a "hobby" to do. So I'm going to focus on my wants and work with people when the two align. Be sure to focus on your health and mental health this year too. Let's do it!

| CCxRC Podcast Is Back! | 08 Aug 2024 | 01:00:55 | |
It's been over 6 months since the last podcast and I wasn't sure I was going to bring it back after such a long hiatus, but after many requests from the listeners....it's back! As with much of my CCxRC related social media it will be changing in some ways as I try to bring it all back to the hobby and less about the newest shiny product.
| King Of RC Dominates Monthly Mayhem and The New XRT | 07 Nov 2022 | 00:49:05 | |
It's been a while since I recorded a podcast and much of that is to blame on the Monthly Mayhem event I was participating in. It took up most of my time and we weren't allowed to discuss details until it was over. So I didn't have other new stuff to talk about and I couldn't talk about the Monthly Mayhem...which left nothing for the podcast. Now that it's over, let's talk Monthly Mayhem and the newly created King of RC content on CCxRC.

Welcome to the RC-Crawler-specific edition of the podcast, where we only talk about things related to crawlers. It was bound to happen some time...that and Josh from Harley Designs made fun of me for how many times I say "Monster Trucks" in a day...so I had to try not to say it too much in this episode. I had a shoot with a non-profit client for an upcoming video series, and reached out to Ryan about doing the livestream with him last week. I also got the new ARRMA Outcast 4s–which is amazing! The final topic was the Great Lakes Guantlet event coming up in Michigan September 16-17. Hope you enjoy it.

| Axialfest Badlands 2022 - The Best Badlands Yet! | 29 Jun 2022 | 00:18:46 | |
Axialfest Badlands 2022 was off the hook! I'm so glad I was able to make it–even if it was only for a day and a half. Definitely was the best one yet and very well attended. The trails were laid out really well, the events I saw were well run and well attended (I didn't get to see TTC and the Concourse). They gave away tons of cool prizes and the trophies for the events were awesome. The best part is always the people...and there were a lot of them there. Very fun to meet up with old friends and make new ones. The $10k donation that Horizon made to Operation 11 Charlie was also amazing to see. Hope you enjoy the podcast. | Instagram RC Video Intellectual Property Rights Rant | 18 Jun 2022 | 00:31:27
As someone who has as Masters Degree in Communication Arts, this is a really frustrating problem for me. The frustration really lies with the companies that allow intellectual property rights to be so blatantly infringed upon, make it hard to report/remove, and continue pay people who do it because they want people interacting with the app regardless what keeps them there. It is maddening to spend the time and money I do only to have people invest nothing, but grab my best content and other creators' best content and re-post it to grow their channel that has nothing original and make money off our investment. Youtube is good about fighting it. Instagram and Facebook let it flourish.
| RC Monster Jam World Finals Recap | 16 Jun 2022 | 00:30:45 | |
I have a lot to say about the RC Monster Jam World Finals. Some about the racing and freestyle, but mostly about the experience. What an amazing event they put on for the pit party. The Losi LMT proved how impressive it is as an RTR RC Monster Truck Platform this weekend. If you are looking to get started in solid axle RC monster trucks, this is a proven way to start. | Learning From My Big Mistake...and Fixing It | 17 May 2022 | 00:30:07
When it comes to the RC Hobby, we all make mistakes along the way. Don't let it get you down. Learn from it and move on. My mistake was pretty big and during a time when I needed to be getting things ready for a big race. Instead...I had to tear down the truck and repair it. Lesson learned. What RC Mistakes have you made that you've learned from.
| Spring Trifecta Race At Freestyle RC Raceway | 07 May 2022 | 00:32:10 | |
Lots to talk about in this episode and I don't even talk about some of the cool new RCs coming. I'll have to have another episode about that. This is episode is about my trip to Freestyle RC Raceway for their Spring Trifecta, the CCxRC Mighty Handy Tool selling out in under 24 hours, more CCxRC products coming, upgrading the SCX24 Bronco so it doesn't tip over so easily, and more.

First, I want to thank Dana Surrette for telling me to keep up the podcast last night, because it reminded me that I had recorded this episode earlier this week. I've been working with custom-made mini RC monster trucks for the past year and now have the new Furitek Rampart kit in hand. It's a thing of beauty.
| Am I Bored With The RC Hobby? | 06 Apr 2022 | 00:34:40 | |
Are you feeling bored or disconnected with the RC Hobby? I've been there, but I don't know if it's actually boredom or a mind game that's going on inside. I'm still actively engaged, but don't feel as plugged in as I normally do because I'm focusing on a different element of the hobby, but thinking about the one I was plugged into months ago. It's a weird spot to be in and it's easier to deal with if you just call it out. Let's talk about that. Then I'll answer questions that you submitted via my Instagram Story
| The (RC) Show Must Go On! Tiny Gappin’ It | 25 Mar 2022 | 00:25:03 | |
It's been a tough final week as I work to get my Tiny Gappin' It Build ready to throw down it's run time for the competition. Weather has SUCKED! Honestly weather or not...I procrastinated because of other "life" things that took priority over playing with toy cars. The show must go on–Rain or Shine...or Snow (which we just had last night). | Tiny Gappin’ It Mini Drag RC Build Update and Speed Test | 11 Mar 2022 | 00:18:42
We're into week 4 of the Tiny Gappin' It Build Off series and I finally got to put my build on the ground to test it. The goal is top speed within the 90' x 12' area. I tested my speed and was a bit disappointed. We did extend the deadline to March 27th to allow for more testing and tuning videos so it isn't a one and done build. We realized it was looking like that was going to be the case and that didn't really lead to creativity in the builds. Also...Pablo fused his driveshaft and axle together and you have to order parts for these things...which adds days to the build time. Check out more on my latest build update blog: https://www.ccxrc.com/post/tiny-gappin-it-build-off-deadline-extended-i-blame-pablo
| RC Build Updates & How My ARRMA Fireteam Cut Down A Tree | 08 Mar 2022 | 00:31:57 | |

| 2024 Will Be A MONSTER Year For CCxRC | 04 Jan 2024 | 00:18:07 | |
New year. New RC Fun! This year I'm planning to jump back into the RC Monster Trucks hot and heavy. I'm not getting out of the 1/24 scale....just looking to be more focused and do them and Monster Trucks pretty regularly. We'll see how well I can stick to it. I know I can't keep trying to do everything RC related alongside the other work I'm doing now. It's too much and it really doesn't let me get invested into the areas of RC I enjoy the most. Here's to a new year and more RC fun!
| Talk Your Face Off: The Quest To Make Slow Fast | 23 Feb 2022 | 01:09:27 | |
I was asked to start sharing these livestreams as a podcast for people who want to listen while working. I'm going to give it a go and see if they jive with the normal podcast uploads or not. This was from the livestream with RC Amigos last night on the CCxRC channel. We discussed the Enduro24 "Tiny Gappin' It" Build Off we are doing. Who wants to try something a bit different? You do? Cool. The plan is to have a competition to see who can take an Element RC Enduro24 and make it into the fastest drag truck within a 90' x 12' area. You must film the entirety of your run by first verifying the speedometer is zeroed out before driving, then show the run, and end by showing the speed achieved all in one continuous clip. Your run must start and stop within the 90' distance and not veer outside the 12' width of the lane. Cones, tape, or other items can be used to show the width and length of the area. There is a bit of an honor system for the measurements, but you should have them visibly marked. The goal is to have fun, but friendly competition can be fun too, right? So there are some rules to keep us from going to crazy with this build off.
RULES: - Final videos must be posted by March 13, 2022 at 11:59pm PDT and a link sent to me through the contact page CCxRC.com: https://www.ccxrc.com/contact - Start off with an Element RC Enduro24 - Must use at least 2 stock Enduro 24 rails. They can be cut or added onto. - Must use the rear axle. You can modify it to have different link mounts, or other mods. - No more than 2 axles - 12” max wheelbase - 6” max width - 40a ESC Max - Limited to one motor. - Transmission can be changed or removed and use direct drive - Max 3s lipo - 1” max wheels - 2.5” max tire height - Dualies are allowed - Track boundaries are 90ft x 12 ft. Surface must be flat. No hills. - No Throwing the vehicles for speed. :) - Cannot have any other added propulsion (rockets, fans, etc). - Must have a body that covers at least 50% of the chassis
Hastags to use on Instagram during your build: - Use the hastag #tinygappinit #enduro24 #talkyourfaceoff - Tag @RC_Amigos and @CCxRC so we can see the progress of your builds HOW TO ENTER YOUR SUBMISSION: - Final videos must be posted to Instagram or YouTube by Sunday, March 13 11:59pm PDT (yes, Daylight Savings Time starts that day). That will give us Monday, March 14 to go through them and find the top speeds. - Videos are submitted to us by sending a link through the contact page on this site. - Please tell us the top speed you reached in your message to us on the contact page. This will help us find the top speeds and allows us to verify that rules were met.

| RC Experiences May Vary, But Don’t Imply I’m A Liar Because They Do | 01 Feb 2022 | 00:38:13 | |
This podcast is a bit of a rant. Some may want to skip it, others may wish to indulge. Hit a boiling point with the feigned righteousness and the experiences of other RC people being used to say I lied an overhyped things. I don't take well to my integrity being called to question. Just because you pay for a car, doesn't mean your review is better or worse. There is more to take to account: location, temperatures, driving skill, type of driving, etc. Two first experiences will never be the same. Your bad experience doesn't negate my good experience and it pisses me off when people use their negative experience and bad attitude to try to claim that they are showing people the "only real experience" and use a weak argument that our experiences are some how hyped or false. Watch the freaking videos. We've done a lot and still are running them with no issues. What irks me the most is that the rest of the negative Nancy's in the comments aren't capable of separating the one bad and negative experience from the overwhelming amount of other good experiences. There are good influencers and bad influencers and it has nothing to do with whether or not they get free stuff, but by the fruits of their attitudes. Seeing a lot of people leaning in hard to the negativity for views. Rotten fruit spreads quickly. People will be negative, step away from it. Embrace the good. There will always be bad, but you don't have to live there. Find the positives, enjoy the good and don't dwell on the bad.

| 1:24 Scale Micro RC Monster Trucks Are All The Rage...But You Have To Build It | 15 Nov 2021 | 00:21:57 | |
I know that many of you have been working customizing 1/24 scale crawlers and converting them into Micro Monster Trucks. This Southwest Monster Shop Tiny Titan is a step toward making it easier. One problem I've encountered and fielded many questions about is how to make them faster. There are ways, but it hasn't been easy to figure out what motor mounts, pinions, spur gears, etc to use. Hopefully this list will help clear it up. I don't take credit for it. I sourced it from Michael MacKenzie who worked with Ernie at Southwest Monster Shop on testing his Tiny Titan chassis. He complied a list of parts and I've used that as the base for my list.
