This week – fans as customers, and what makes a great matchday experience? It's a timely question as Manchester United’s. new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been talking up the possibility of replacing Old Trafford with a new ground next door to the existing site – one that might become a national stadium comparable to Wembley.
But why do the Reds need a new home? And is what owners want from a stadium the same as supporters need?

Marcus Rashford and players behaving badly

mercredi 7 février 2024Duration 29:55

Where’s the Money Gone? is a podcast about football finance, governance and politics, with Adrian Goldberg, investigative journalist and West Brom season ticket holder, and Charlie Methve, Charlton Athletic co owner, former director of Sunderland and boyhood Oxford United fan..
This week players behaving badly…Marcus Rashford was fined by Erik Ten Hag recently after pictures emerged of his boozy bender in Belfast; it was a costly night out for the England striker – he was fined two weeks wages £650,000 after phoning in sick and missing training.
it’s the the second time Rashford attracted criticism this season – the first was when he was seen out on the town celebrating his birthday hours after United lost 3-0 in the Manchester derby.
So if you’re in the boardroom, how do you deal with a situation like that? And what about players who refuse to play which was the situation with Alex Pritchard at Sunderland recently?
