Roseann Sdoia Materia is a Boston Marathon bombing survivor, author, and advocate for fellow amputees. On April 15, 2013, she lost her right leg above the knee, a moment that redirected her path from real estate development to sharing her story of resilience with others facing trauma and life-altering loss. She married Mike Materia, the Boston firefighter who saved her life, and reflected on her journey in Perfect Strangers: Friendship, Strength, and Recovery After Boston's Worst Day.
Roseann joined Meredith Patrick on What Still Remains to talk about the split-second decisions that kept her alive, what it meant to be helped by nearly a dozen strangers, and how she actively chooses to focus on the positive every day.
