Situation looking dire in Kupiansk and PokrovskToday we're getting into some battlefield updates as Russia kicked off a number of attacks in the last few days. We're seeing Russian progress into the city center in both Kupiansk and Pokrovsk, both areas that have held for some time now. However, in both cases it does appear to be small groups of Russians infiltrating gaps in the lines rather than a large assault. Russia really tried this three times in a rowToday we're looking at yet another Russian armored assault near Pokrovsk where the attack appears to have been uncovered by Ukraine and subsequently stopped far from the line of contact. This is the third such assault in the last week and a significant change from Russian tactics elsewhere along the front. Dozens were killed in this short, violent engagementOvernight fighting erupted along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border as the Taliban responded to a recent Pakistani strike in Kabul.
