For series 4 of my podcast about long distance paths and walking in the UK, I tackle the Gloucestershire Way in the Spring/Summer of 2022. A 100 mile walk through the beautiful English countryside. This episode covers day 2 of the walk from Parkend in the Forest of Dean. to Boxbush, a 13 mile stretch of the walk. I'm joined by Andy as we search for wild boars and encounter a sculpture trail, some excited lambs and rolling hills.
I'm trying to complete a self contained LDP in each of the 38 counties of England. Gloucestershire is my 7th county. For series 3 of my podcast about long distance paths and walking in the UK, I tackle the Lambourn Valley Way in Berkshire along with three friends in the summer of 2021. A 20 mile walk through the beautiful English countryside. This episode features the second and final part of the walk from Lambourn to Uffington White Horse and beyond.
Lambourn is called the Valley of the Racehorse, and so in this episode we find out if my speculative bet on the gee gees pays off, also find out whether we make it to the pub in time for dinner and then back to the campsite before the sun sets. The team also read out the top 15 Berkshire facts.

Given the importance of fruit orchards to Worcestershire I also chat to apple and pear expert and Countryside Officer from the Worcestershire County Council Wade Muggleton about all things apples and pears and learn why pears are associated with Worcestershire.
To learn about the importance that orchards play on improving the biodiversity of our countryside I also talked to Steve Oram, Orchard Biodiversity Officer from the Peoples Trust for Endangered Species who is also secretary for to the UK Orchard Network
