Here is your shot list.

1 establishing shot.

2 wide / medium shots.

As I said, this shot list will be a good place to start. There is of course SOOOOO much more that goes into creating captivating videos, and this is something that you will need to explore and experiment with depending upon your style.

Some Disadvantages of Telephoto Lenses

Season 8 · Episode 7

jeudi 20 février 2025Duration 04:16

Welcome to the Visual Storytelling podcast. In this episode I discuss the disadvantages of telephoto lenses. Don't worry, it's not all doom and gloom as I also touch upon some of the advantages and their key benefits.

If you’re in the market for a telephoto lens, my recommendation would be to try before you buy.  Do your due diligence before hand, understand why you need one and then research the best telephoto that suits your requirements, then hire one over the course of a few days to see whether you were right.  This way you save yourself a lot of time and money.

Six Circular Objects

Season 2020 · Episode 27

mercredi 21 octobre 2020Duration 00:43

There will be times when inspiration is lacking. You have the drive to get out there with your camera in hand and want to be creative, but the heart and head just aren't in sync.  Hopefully this quick episode will help spark something creative within.

At the time of recording this the weather in the UK was raining, and whilst this may be stereotypical of the UK, and not something that would usually deter us Brits form getting outside regardless, there are those days where you just don't fancy it.  But this isn't to say that you can't still be creative with the camera.  There are plenty of opportunities around the house, you just have to look.
